@EpIClLamA46 You can mix and edit all your own music (itunes and downloaded music) and videos also. We provide loops but you can download many loops for free on the internet. TrakAxPC is a mixer and editor allowing you to mix any type of media to create your own mixes.

In the new version there is 30 day free trial to try out the new features and then the application reverts to the free version which still contains loads of features. "Free" is still misleading in this case. Demo-mode software, and "free DOWNLOAD" are not justifications.

The software looks like it's worth checking out, but your use of "Free" IS misleading.

@bjornskivids This is the old version. The new version has a 30 day free trial with all the features. It then goes into free mode which still offers many great features like rendering to wmv, effects, recording from webcam and mic etc. You are also able to edit avi files.

I've noticed that you can only cut tracks in certain segments that the program determines for you. Can you cut completely by yourself?

Yes, right click in the trakkutter and turn off the snap to grid option in the menu. You can then cut media and it does not snap to the grid. Cheers cb

I don't think trakax can be exported to an mp3 format but you may be able to use a project such as LAME to do that

Yes, introduce a volume envelope onto the track. You can do this by resizing the track until you see the envelope icon in the track name, Or right click on the track and select volume envelope. Insert node onto the envelope to create the fade in and/or fade out. Cheers CB

Yes, it does. Click on the volume envelope button in the track name. You may need to resize the track in order to see it. Once you click on the volume envelope button, a volume envelope will appear. Place nodes on the envelope to insert fades in and out.

Hi. Yes it does support different kinds of Mpgs. Your video camera might be recording in mpg's with a particular codec that trakAxPC does not support. If you would like us to have a look at this file, please post on forum at trakax(dot)com and we can have a better idea what is going on with this particular mpg.

You can render your mix by clicking on the render button in the top right hand corner of the screen or by right clicking in an empty area of the mixing screen and selecting render as at the bottom of the menu. Hi

At the moment we do not support MP3 encoding.. For us to include MP3 in TrakAxPC would require a licence fee charge to be paid to the licencing authority. This is a free to use software application and therefore not possible to subsidise a licenced format.

You can render your mixes to wav and wma only.

All these features are explained in detail on the site and we can answer all your queries on the trakAx forum.

Hi - please check our support and forums on trakax 'dot' com for all our video tutorials and manuals.

You can 'render' your finished movie to /AVI/WMV etc. using the Render Function which is located in the top right-hand corner of the mixing screen.

All these features are explained in detail on the site and we can answer all your queries on the trakAx forum.

For Video, the files you can mix are: AVI, MPEG 1 and 2, WMV, ASF

For Photographs, the files you can mix are: BMP, JPG. JPEG, JPE, JFIF, GIF, TIF.

Exports to WMV, WMA,WAV, AVI

We've experienced a small problem when downloading the app using IE and saving to a new folder.

What is happening is that the file is not downloading fully, it seems to be a partial download instead of a full 14mb download.

In the meantime, you can simply save it your desktop/existing folder (do not save it to a new folder) on your hard drive and you will not experience this problem.

Otherwise, you can use Firefox/Safari etc. and you will have no issues.
