  • i just cant get the hang of kicking with my right leg fucking anoying :(

  • OK, you've got it right this time. A theeb is a foot jab, and not a front kick. I was very upset with your clip on student testing, and I'm not impressed with this clip either. Your student does the theeb with fault, yet instead of correcting his theeb, your pad holder (I don't regard him as instructor) persistently sweep kicked him.

  • My achilles tendon snapped because of that counter attack.

  • ฝึกยังไง ก็สู้คนไทยไม่ได้หรอกเว้ย...

  • Almost identical with what we have in kyokushin...

  • @DrainExpress What works, works....no wonder martial arts around the world developed completely separately still have similarities.

  • @mrkiky This block and the ensuing kick we use every time against mae-geri, as shown. A couple of years ago I used it in a street fight - it works just like in the dojo.

Unfortunately, a second guy came from behind and sucker bear-sprayed me. It was not mace - it was a a major can of bear spray. But that's another story...

Write something good and thank the guys who made this REALLY GREAT VIDEO. Many thanks !!!

  • if you notice, there is not a single positive post here. everyone is totally shitting on this video.......boy there are a lot of experts. it would be great to see some of you in the ring to show your stuff.

  • @GCB1982 you dont have to be the best to notice what shit is.

  • the fuck is a foot jab? a teap lol

  • @dcolt4life Some people call it a foot jab. Allegedly.

  • what a useless trick. i would break your hand with my front kick if you try to stop it like this. put some fight on youtube i mean real fight. show how you use this HOLLYWOOD s*****.

  • @kopniakk Uhm, mate, this way of deflecting a front kick is standard procedure in kickboxing, and the best way that I know of dealing with them.

This video is pretty good. They even included that you have to slide back (or sideways) to give yourself some space to operate in while performing the move.

  • @kopniakk who i hollywood does muy thai

  • @kopniakk How to see this technique used in a Muay Thia fight.

1: Type Muay Thai fight in the search bar.

    2: Press enter.

3: Select random video (preferably one that isn't 3 seconds long).

    4: Profit

Notice how there is no ???????-step, because there are no questions.

  • Foot jab? it a thip

  • @DyLaN1733 I think the word your looking for is teep and its a thai word that means foot thrust, push kick or Foot jab doesn't matter its all the same thing just as long as its done right...... in this video it was.

  • @kjholumn1 actually thip is the proper spelling even though its pronounced teep

  • Comment removed

  • ape la bising2 kat sini..tengok die ajar sudah! ngoks!

  • Lol the student is like a crash test dummy...and he's already falling before the trainer even hits him.... GG! -.-'

  • FOOT JAB!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @xMarkGaddisx yah thats what it is! teep, push kick, foot thrust, etc. its all the same thing as long as its done right and understood it doesnt matter. This training is 101 basic my friend!

  • tha muay thai ?

  • What the fuck is a foot jab? Your teaching muay thai a teepe kick or a push kick and calling it a foot jab :|

  • This music in the background makes me want to kick someones ass.

  • can U make this movie then the stop kick is very powerfull? It breaks your hand..

  • And BTW Benson: Yes, WTF, this is a Push Kick... foot jab?? but fuck that, good videos btw, helped a hell lot for my stance and some other things.

  • After watching your "muay thai student testing" i conclude that you are a complete douchebag and a disgrace to muay thai. Your students are obviously not experienced enough for the "testing" you put them through in your videos aswell as the force that was continuously used. If they are getting a beating then why should you continue to use full force, an accident can easily occur. Also they aren't even wearing shin guards.

  • @sandmanffm effective doesn't mean difficult to learn. punching somebody in the throat is effective, not hard to learn :P but in this case, yes, it takes a few different peices of knowledge to do it correctly.

    also at mbenson001, foot jab?

    fucking "front kick" shitbag.

  • foot.. jab? its called a front kick. holy shit.

  • Grab my arm. The other arm. My other arm! Okay, now watch this. I'm just gonna break the wrist and walk away. Break the wrist, walk away

  • at the end he is in such a stance that he could fall from his own stance

  • why don't you call it a teep instead of a foot jab

  • song name pls !!!!!

  • watch his back foot come forward to allow u to do it, you and your gym are wankers

  • WIPE IT AWAY xD

  • stop crying about it and learn this stuff it could save your life some day

  • this is valuable instructor

  • the guy started falling before the guy sweeped him. Complete BS

  • @hobofromhelltp Its true what you said about this part here as it look silly but it does work if you put pressure on the guy upper body while if put pressure on his front leg and go for the sweep??? Make sense?? but like you said the guy fell down but im sure he just showing a bit of demo right?

  • Respect and to learn is better than to put down...

  • Instructions here are a lil to vague

  • what an asswipe

  • First

    Learn a Real MuayThai

    at Thailand

  • nice tip

  • he moves his feet together :41 - :42 so the sweep would look better

  • en que pais estan me gustaria aprender muay thai avansado soy guardaespalda y fui mexican army gafe quiero prepararme mas

  • the foot jab?? lol fucking amatuers!

  • mbenson001, how would you recommend defending against the low kick to the back of the legs?

  • I like everyone's input like you even had to watch the video or you're actually the one making video's or you tech muay thai. Shit I'm sorry yall are butt hurt and are all experts on muay thai, but i garuntee you step in the ring with that guy you won't step out without limping

  • The coaches havn't been to thai land for training I mean they're calling a teep a foot jab, when the fuck was it ever established that this was called a foot jab ?!?

  • @mymumhitsme1 So silly. They know it's a teep I've heard him call it that dozens of times in person. He says foot jab because the average person doesn't know what teep means. Teep is a Thai word therefore it is called a foot jab often times outside of Thailand.

  • @strafer

Awright fair enough. In scotland I train they have always called it the teep so i thought it was something they just made up.

  • @mymumhitsme1 thats because it is called a teep... the guy in the video is a fucking idiot.

  • the best drill for this is to have the teep push kicker try and recover and turn the counter attack into a leg check. This allows for a continuous dynamic drill. It also works on speed with 'switch kicking'. By the way.. the sweep is basically a leg kick but aiming more for both legs.

  • after hes pared the kick the guy doing the push kick moves his other leg allowing himself to be swept.

the muay thai videos from this channel suck

  • Sweeps are excellent. Ive been on the receiving end of many of them ^^ and I can say that its not only demoralizing but tiring for the body aswell.

Not to mention that you can quickly finish someone when he's recovering on the ground

  • good move but dont expect the guy to fall ive done it b4 and had it done 2 me its a good counter and hurts like a bitch tho

  • are u fuckin retared that u dont understand so simply move ? Do u train anything ? Its perfect defense agains front kick

  • on 0:33 you can see that hy let his self fall.....( nice try )

  • lol it's not that he let himself fall, he just prepared himself to fall because he knew it was going to happen, that generally would happen in a drill like this, he's not going to try and fight the kick, that's how you get hurt just in practice. Silly.

  • I'm agree with you

  • and thats so hard

  • good video!

  • wipe it away r u kidding me what is this hollywood

  • Well clearly pawppy doesn't train muay thai or any sort of combat sport. That move works in live drills/competition. It's usually ugly when pulled off but it does work.

  • I think pawppy had a problem with the term used. Then again thats just an assumption. It just sounds funny "wipe it away". It was probably his attempt at humor to relate it as a hollywood term or something.

  • lol wtf

  • Exactly

  • what? lol

  • Which part do you need explained?

  • i mean all you said is exactly lol i dont remember what i said wtf to lol

  • Idk man the world is chaotic.

  • What he is doing is not a front or a jab.. Its a Push kick.. A front kick is more snappy and powerful.

With a front kick you load up different

Why he's using a push kick i fucking dunno!!!!

  • It's called a theep in Thailand, this and the tdey (thai style roundhouse) are the most common kicks in muay thia by far.

The front kick isn't a very good kick because what's it's target? Under the chin? Ever tried doing that to a ring fighter who guards his head? Nigh on impossible mate - that's why you don't see it used in the full contact ring ever.

The theep pushes your opponent off balance which is a HUGE advantage and it's very easy to throw while being very versatile.

  • Next time your in THAILAND call it a foot jab and listen to them laugh!!!!!

  • so what is it? front thrust?

  • its called a teep in thailand and most people involved in muay thai/thaiboxing call it that.

  • its a decent technich but it wont always work its takes alot of practice anda decent amount of foot strenght its not like a move any one can complete on any one like grabbing the leg and sweeping the other 1 becuase you have the force of gravitiy to help you i take itf taekwondo and i learn alotof ways to deal with strikes and grabs 1 of my favorties is to cathc the leg sweep it the just deliver a finish blow or ground and pound alot of people take this advantage into a different way

  • why do the foot jab in the first place if its so easy to block and use to your advantage?

  • Because most opponents won't be able to counter it most of the time. Besides, the front kick is your longest weapon in kickboxing. I'm fairly tall, and when I use that kick, somebody generally needs to scale 40-50 centimeters before I'm in range of any other technique.

It's not a KO move, but after 5-10 of those kicks in the stomach, the average joe ussually has had enough.

  • foot jabs are supposed to push your opponent away when there coming in. it's for defense

  • this is good.. i use it often..

  • wat a douch....leg sweeps dont always work. u need to hav tons of power. this dude is a plain bully...look at his other stupid video "muay thai-student testing" in the video he wears pads but the students dont. and he just kicks the shit out of them. and they arent allowed to retaliate....fucking noob

  • @jjcool117 Depending on what angle you sweep from and how the legs are placed, you don't need "tons of power." It's in the technique. Also, in his student testing videos, he wears pads to handicap himself (although I don't agree with editing in slow motion shots of him kicking them in the head.)

  • @jjcool117 Your right hey, what a douchebag. My trainer never actually hits us, he just lets us hit each other, which is better, but this dude looks like a fag also, so we should all go down to his gym. And knock him out.

    kthanksbye

  • @jjcool117 if you have the right technique you can sweep a guy with a kick who stands in front of you without a counter and with not that much power

  • @jjcool117 that is a way of training the body to receeive damage when theyre against the ropes with nothing they can do :S thats what i think

  • @jjcool117 Its true what you said about this part here as it look silly but it does work if you put pressure on the guy upper body while if put pressure on his front leg and go for the sweep??? Make sense?? but like you said the guy fell down but im sure he just showing a bit of demo right? Plus you don't need power.. you can light sweep them when they put pressure on thiers front leg..

  • @jjcool117 he wears the shin pads to not hurt them as much dude

  • @jjcool117 u moron what u no about muay thai u prick ass.the guy dont wanna hurt him u austria fool.go suck ur mother dick u damb bitch

  • @jjcool117 lol you obviously don`t know anything about mt

  • @jjcool117 you clearly know nothing about muay thai, sweeps dont always work but they do work alot this is a more technical sweep than a "power" sweep if you payed attention he uses his hand an feet to make a kind of scissor motion the hand pushes the chest back while he kicks the leg all it needs is a tiny bit of force on each and it will work... because hes doing it fast it looks like hes doing it hard

  • @jjcool117 True, in Jujitsu the leg sweeps only work if you use the opponents balance against them and put them off balance, and then in comes the leg sweep :)

  • @jjcool117 Well for the rest of us theres sanshou/Sanda. Look up their leg catches. They have the best in the business real talk

  • @jjcool117 Most of the kicks or punches to the head are due to the failing of the trainees to KEEP THE HANDS UP. Muay Thai is a contact sport, and they should be ready to loose the fear of getting punched. If you pussies don't like being hit, then go play dolls or something. BTW, the trainers are wearing pads in the shins because they are conditioned, and a kick without pads with a conditioned shin can really hurt someone. Morons

  • @jjcool117 it actually works by throwing him off balance first

  • @jjcool117 /watch?v=aPY5PUNDmaA

  • @jjcool117 He's wearing pads so that it doesn't hurt when he kicks them you stupid FUCKING DUMB NIGGER FAGGOT BITCH.

  • @rawr216 Nigger Faggot?? Really? All you could have said was "FUCKING DUMB BITCH". SMH

  • @rawr216 take you nigger shit somewhere else you inbred

  • @jjcool117 bro no you dont need tos of power to sweep somebody

  • @jjcool117 you ever been kicked in the back of the leg? last time i checked it doesnt take all too much to take someone down like that... especially when their that off balance ...just saying. but i do agree that thats not the easy thing to set up and land

  • Lol, the music is intense. Feel like i'm watching a Nolanised version of Muay Thai training or something, lol. Really simple yet helpful videos though. I like this guy!

  • After taking a crap. WIPE IT AWAY!! lol Pop back then WIPE IT AWAY.lol

  • @bhowie777 lmfao

  • His teep secked. It looked like a capoeira front kick. telegraphed and slow. Wow look how he loads up before throwing it .lol

  • I'm pretty sure that's because they were trying to demonstrate the technique, not actually kick each other... this is an instructional video after all.

  • jab kick omg its called a front kick or in thai a teep u mongs

  • its actually called an ultra kick

  • heres a secret technique, do the sweep than do a flying tea bag on there face. They tap every time

  • man you should teach that guy how to fall. how to do a proper slap out, not fall on his butt and stiff arm his arms.

  • she is hot

  • This drills all wrong...block with rising knee THEN in with rear foot sweep.. a powerful thrusting front kick'll be in the guts before you have time to drop the guard for a parry...also teach these boys how to fall. Shin pads or no shin pads...matter of choice as some ring fights allow it...

  • The drill isn't wrong. Not all thrusting front kicks or (teeps) when delivered are powerful. Especially if you can close the gap and choke out part of the kick or if your opponent is exhausted. You need to have a bit of sense of when to use your defenses and counters but that's part of the game.

  • just compared the training of randy couture to wander lei silva in chute boxe academy he doesnt wear any shin pads compared to randy couture who promotes safety amongst his sparring partner compared their age wandy is only 32 and he fights like wash up fighter and when randy is in that age he still a bad ass fighter, this shin pads you belittle are created to give better results and fighting performance...

  • just kick him in the face an jou lay them down to xD:P or whit a headbut strait on thear nose fuck that playing around xD:P

  • lol shin pads, i dont think these guys realize if u train enough without shinpads the nerves in ur shins will be diminished and ur shins will callice up and become much larger n able to take much more punishment

  • eh.. training/sparring with shinpads is normal

  • I don't think you realize that it takes work to get up to that point, trying to be a hardman before then results in people getting broken bones. Broken bones = recovery time = less time to train and increased risk of future breakage.

  • or break....then be out for 12 months

  • not wearing shin pads will wear you out faster without you noticing it, wearing shin pads however in my own opinion is a must for any fighter who want to increase muscle endurance, not only it will allow you to train for longer periods of time, it will also protect your sparring partner I don't feel a single pain when I kick with my shin bone, because I hit my shin bone with ropes after training, what you're saying is just misleading other people... shin pads are invented for better training..

  • Have you ever been to a Thai class? You can be kicking someone or getting kicked easily a few hundred times per session. We are not talking snap kicks either. Full roundhouse kicks with at least 70% power. Shins are developed on the heavy bag (rice bag) and not everyone has developed shins.

  • ...the elbows....learning to fall?! no?!

  • to bad if they were a good fighter they would fuckin nail u in the face after they missed the jab and u strted to come in

  • Hey you guys got it down!:)

  • Hahahaha...se fosse facil assim !!!

    Brasil

  • Just another option...I've been taught to sweep the kick in the opposite direction as demonstrated in the video. The reason being is sweeping the leg away as shown leaves your opponent with the options of either a spinning back fist or a reverse kick. However, your leg sweep is a nice way to shut down those options.

  • If you sweep the leg into you your setting them up for a big right hand. Sweeping it away throws them off balance and exposes that outside leg kick.

  • bao pra caramba

  • The guy falling doesnt know how to fall. He is landing on his wrist, elbows and butt. This will get you a quick trip to the hospital. Good move.

  • I totally agree. As a former Judoka it pains me to even watch that elbow pop up!

And LOL at the idiot below your comment. Knowing how to fall is crucial for any fighter of any style.

  • Oss!!!

  • i was thinking the same exact thing. teach that kid how to fall! :O

  • looked like he was falling before he even swept

  • he anticipated it lol.

  • good technique, but the front kick really sucks

  • push kick, flying knee. no it does not suck :)

  • Actaully bro it sucks when someone does it to you. But when you do it to them its fuckin awesum lol

  • we have this is japenese jujitsu also,

we grab the collar of the gi or use our forearm on the throat

  • right hand higher

  • name of the song?.

  • Ask Thom Beihold!

  • 0:41 he falls before being impacted... buuuuuuuu (I know, I know, just a train, but...)

  • lol kinda has to, its the students who dont know what they're doing that end up hurting the teachers :P ignorance can be a powerful weapon

  • agree to that!!

  • I have heavy legs to begin with, or that is atleast what people tell me.

When I use this technique it nearly always results with someone on the floor. Great move.

  • funny names

  • that guy looked like he was falling over befor he evan got hit with the sweep

  • maybe so he can sofen the impact fpr himself. and plus he knows that its coming

  • evan when we are doing drills and i know its coming i still stand firm its more real for both parties idk what ever good video any ways

  • Wipe the foot its actually called the sweep

We always do it in training

  • wel they call it wipe how do yo know your ways right in my mma gym we do this drill and call it a block chop

  • Is it really called a foot jab? we call it a push kick or in thai, teep.

  • last time at training we've been training that - fuckin awesome

    best wishes

Nak Muay club, Poland , city of Szczecin

  • my girl is a thai, nexy year we go to thailand and i start taking lessons, really looking forward to it!

  • who gives a damn you moron

  • hey be nice, you might meet me some day and say, "i met a guy named "medra" and he said he was gonna take some lessons and then a kick your skull in

  • I dunno. A real muay thai foot jab comes so quickly, I'm not sure if most people would be able to react, unless they quickly figure out which foot their opponent is likely to jab from, and be prepared for a very specific technical response to their jab.

  • that the point of fighting, anticipate what your opponent does and react to it. of al the counters there is to a footjab, this one is by far the best.

  • thats the point drilling, so you act without "thinking"

  • i agree..a real foot jab is really fast..

  • Scott Adkins is the real life Brian Fury. Check him out.

  • PLEASE UPLOAD MORE VIDEOS ;)

  • + 1

  • I think i can take this guy. Mmmkay...

  • this is a very good technique which you can use but I would prefere to istead of the low kick hold his neck and knee his liver or stomach. belive me it really works and can easily knock people out.

  • Awesome vid. Your all vids are so awesome and very helpul ty.

  • skeletonbite "He's the real-life Bruce Irvin!"
