My wife and I love this recipe. We just spent the last 45 minutes searching for it again (had to reinstall my OS after a crash and lost my favorites) because we just have so much fun with this recipe. It's easy and fun! And with 2 kids running around causing mischief we don't have a lot of time for something too time consuming. Thanks for the video! It tastes great!
wow, You butchered that lasagne. Im assuming its b/c like you said ur " old irish mother" used to make it like that. It was super flat ... and are you from Canada? you gotta be with that accent lol ... cute video though!
@glossedoutlips The lasagne is aimed at the laziest of cooks. If you're looking for a classic lasagne, this isn't it, it just tastes good and is very easy.
@PrEttYbAbYmx There is no doubt that bechamel is better but this recipe is for someone who doesn't normally cook and would have no idea what bechamel is.
Looks great - I was wondering what the red was with it - Chianti - OK. I like your version and will try - it gave me confidence cos mine turn out one day and flop the next! Keep it up, I love to drink and cook too - maybe that's why success varies!
your videos are so much fun to watch and you are such a symphatic lad! like your way of cooking with only the needed products. keep it simple, way to go! most times the few, the better! thank you so much and wish u all the best. greetings from switzerland! dom
No messing around with fancy ingredients simple to follow instructions fantastic video, making this for my girlfriend tonight found loads of recipes but i will be using your no nonsense lazy approach :D many thanks
@treasurer6 It turned out great ! i overlapped the lasagne sheets a bit to much on one side so the pasta was a little hard but other then that all whent fantastic ! even got some wine to go with it as well ! :D
Its not slante.........its slainte lol thats slawn-te as in Cheers in Irish.......good video very helpful, yer man is gas with his shirt sticking out lol
Also, try skim mozzarella, it has a little bit of a tang to it, but I prefer that taste to whole milk. Try it next time you might like it. Fresh mozzarella is the best, but from your accent, it might be difficult to find where you live.
I'm Italian, well Italian American, and that's definitely not how my mother makes it. But it's not bad for an American person. The one question I do have, is why all the sauce on the bottom, she only uses enough so it doesn't stick, doesn't it make is soggy. Also, why don't you criss cross each layer of lasagna, 1 layer going left to right in the pan, the next front to back. Also even though Ricotta is similar to cottage cheese in texture, the 2 cheeses are very different in taste.
oh no no!!...i'm sorry ...but i'm italian....not ricotta..it's besciamella..and the salsa it's ragù alla bolognese...and for the wine??"lambrusco grasparossa"it's an italian wine
Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons . com w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)
Disgusting. I've made a few dozen lasagnes, and I always use fresh ingredients and make it as traditional as possible. This is why the rest of the world hates you americans. You take good things, dumb them down two or three times and adjust them to your idiotic culture. I'd rather eat out of my dumpster than than taste this piece of disgusting shit.
If I recall reading, this is for NON-COOK easy-made people. Who don't want an in depth lasagna. Stop bashing it, i'm sure you've eaten fast food sometime in your life, and its a lot worse than this may be.
Well, I am not American, and I aqree fresh ingredients are better but some people don't know bechamel from ketchup and this might get them started. In the meantime, please accept my apologies if I have offended you.
The Italians would hate you for this dish. Too many shortcuts and over-seasoned with laziness. However, your style is effective in delivering a decent result with a small budget and within reasonable time.
People think that traditonal means original ingredients. When dealing with pastas, pizza etc, it was design for you to put anything on your pastas! The key is to prepare it! And this recipe sounds delicious! Great job displaying you skills on youtube!
I really love your videos. I started with macaroni and cheese. It looked a little bit greasy but I want to try it sometimes. I'm korean and everytime I see your videos they remind me of my visit to canada and my host family. Anyway thank you for recipe~~ㅎㅎㅎ

Time to try the Pork Roast... It's Sunday and I can't be going with out the traditional Sunday Roast.
Well, that's rather judgemental seeing how you haven't tried it. Hundreds who have never cooked before have made and enjoyed it. I never suggested it was a classical dish with bechamel and fresh herbs, it is a dish for the non-cook.
That being said, you are entitled to your opinion and good luck to you.
Sorry if you are upset because this isn't authentic Italian but it fills a need for those who don't cook and does taste good. So, I guess I will continue to "ruin" Italian. Sorry!
