  • My wife and I love this recipe. We just spent the last 45 minutes searching for it again (had to reinstall my OS after a crash and lost my favorites) because we just have so much fun with this recipe. It's easy and fun! And with 2 kids running around causing mischief we don't have a lot of time for something too time consuming. Thanks for the video! It tastes great!

  • wow, You butchered that lasagne. Im assuming its b/c like you said ur " old irish mother" used to make it like that. It was super flat ... and are you from Canada? you gotta be with that accent lol ... cute video though!

  • @glossedoutlips The lasagne is aimed at the laziest of cooks. If you're looking for a classic lasagne, this isn't it, it just tastes good and is very easy.

Yes, I am from Canada, land of the lazy lasagne!

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • @makershift300 Thaaaannnnnks

  • @treasurer6 I have to admit it looks really good

  • @makershift300 For an easy recipe, it makes a tasty dish.

  • @treasurer6 very true, I use different recipes for lasagna but this looks delicious

  • ricotta??... can i put instead bechamel souce???? i put also mushrooms!!and i put them in microwave 9 minutes hehehe :D

  • @PrEttYbAbYmx There is no doubt that bechamel is better but this recipe is for someone who doesn't normally cook and would have no idea what bechamel is.

  • @PrEttYbAbYmx Lasagne with bechamel is the classic way to make lasagne. This is just an easy imitation for someone who has no cooking experience.

  • Looks great - I was wondering what the red was with it - Chianti - OK. I like your version and will try - it gave me confidence cos mine turn out one day and flop the next! Keep it up, I love to drink and cook too - maybe that's why success varies!

  • YUKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK NOT ITALIAN AMERIKAN SHIT..............

  • great video!! love the dish!

  • @MIDWEST507REPIN Great. Thanks for letting us know.

  • That's what cooking is all about. Look for substitutes that are even close and make a whole new dish!

  • lol i watched a couple of ur vids.. pretty cool.. although where i live .. those stuff are pretty hard to come by

  • This was very useful

  • @amandap271 Thanks for posting!

  • your videos are so much fun to watch and you are such a symphatic lad! like your way of cooking with only the needed products. keep it simple, way to go! most times the few, the better! thank you so much and wish u all the best. greetings from switzerland! dom

  • @domehgt You are very kind. Thank you from Canada!

  • No messing around with fancy ingredients simple to follow instructions fantastic video, making this for my girlfriend tonight found loads of recipes but i will be using your no nonsense lazy approach :D many thanks

  • @Thawtheant Thanks so much! I'd love to hear how it turned out.

  • @treasurer6 It turned out great ! i overlapped the lasagne sheets a bit to much on one side so the pasta was a little hard but other then that all whent fantastic ! even got some wine to go with it as well ! :D

  • Really nice video and a good explanation. keep them coming - Smile

  • @compgirl1522 I'm blushing! Thanks!

  • Good video I like your mannerism. Good food and good people can't ask for more

  • @spaceorbison You forgot good wine!

  • @spaceorbison Thanks!

  • is he the guy from harry potter ( harry's uncle ) =))

  • I have one in the owen right now ! Can't wait ! *dancing around" :D

  • Americans can't cook proper italian food.

  • @DrAlfani Yes

  • Great recipe....Thanks for sharing!

  • i´m gonna make you a deal.

i´l teach you how to get ride of that stomach and you´ll give me a cooking lesson!

    what do you say?

  • Har! Unfair deal. Cooking is easy, getting rid of the gut is hard!

  • ganna make this tommorow, greetings from denmark... also ur belly makes me happy

  • thats easy, thank you. Love the music that you are listening to.

  • Thanks for commenting!

  • nice belly and nice recipe

  • Thanks but I could use a little less nice belly!

  • Hi! Love your easy going style and that you have wine to accompany you whilst you cook!!! Thank you you are so down to earth.

  • Thanks! Of course, my size, you have to be down to earth!

  • I like Lasagne with sausages inside yummy

  • Sounds great! Have you thought about posting a video with your recipe? I'd love to see it.

  • Its not slante.........its slainte lol thats slawn-te as in Cheers in Irish.......good video very helpful, yer man is gas with his shirt sticking out lol

  • Also, try skim mozzarella, it has a little bit of a tang to it, but I prefer that taste to whole milk. Try it next time you might like it. Fresh mozzarella is the best, but from your accent, it might be difficult to find where you live.

  • I'm Italian, well Italian American, and that's definitely not how my mother makes it. But it's not bad for an American person. The one question I do have, is why all the sauce on the bottom, she only uses enough so it doesn't stick, doesn't it make is soggy. Also, why don't you criss cross each layer of lasagna, 1 layer going left to right in the pan, the next front to back. Also even though Ricotta is similar to cottage cheese in texture, the 2 cheeses are very different in taste.

  • I don't buy regular ground beef, too much fat in it.

Thank you for your advice though however I wish I had done it. So easy.

    A++

  • It would be fine with lean beef too. Thanks for commenting

  • even if they are non cooks they need herbs! or else might as well buy processed lasagne...

  • anyway looked very nice i tried it and it was delicious..

  • was there any herbs added??

  • Nope, this is an easy recipe for the non cook, just the premade ingredients were used

  • I've never enjoyed watching food-videos this much.

    Thanks alot!

  • Thanks for watching!

  • oh no no!!...i'm sorry ...but i'm italian....not ricotta..it's besciamella..and the salsa it's ragù alla bolognese...and for the wine??"lambrusco grasparossa"it's an italian wine

  • Never trust a skinny chef.... So I am sure this chap's recipe is gonna be awesome.. I'm mouthwatering.. already....

  • Then you should be able to trust me implicitly.

  • geezus I would've hated you for my teacher....seeing you cant even spell "their" lol

  • Har, your parents must be interesting!

  • very good!that's the true lasagna like my parents in bologna do...

  • it's a bit unhealthy, not that I am a health freak. It's not difficult to put some veggies in it and use less of the fake, fabricated food.

  • Of course you're right but may people who won't pick up an onion will try this.

  • did you eat too much lasagne?

  • Obviously!

  • Oh my gosh ! Two types of cheese, stop eating thoses fatty meals, look at your belly, you can't even see your feet !

  • If you'd seen my feet, you'd know that was a blessing! Thanks for commenting anyway.

  • Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons . com w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)

  • so gay, but looks the food looks good

  • Har! Thanks for the comment. Bill and I are just good friends but my wife wishes I was gay sometimes!

  • thx for the recipe that looks soo yummy i'M going to try it tonight thx love your vid post more please

  • Thanks! We will post more but have been crazy busy lately.

  • Great Job

  • Thanks!

  • Disgusting. I've made a few dozen lasagnes, and I always use fresh ingredients and make it as traditional as possible. This is why the rest of the world hates you americans. You take good things, dumb them down two or three times and adjust them to your idiotic culture. I'd rather eat out of my dumpster than than taste this piece of disgusting shit.

  • If I recall reading, this is for NON-COOK easy-made people. Who don't want an in depth lasagna. Stop bashing it, i'm sure you've eaten fast food sometime in your life, and its a lot worse than this may be.

  • Thanks for getting the purpose of the recipe.

  • Well, I am not American, and I aqree fresh ingredients are better but some people don't know bechamel from ketchup and this might get them started. In the meantime, please accept my apologies if I have offended you.

  • The Italians would hate you for this dish. Too many shortcuts and over-seasoned with laziness. However, your style is effective in delivering a decent result with a small budget and within reasonable time.

  • Thanks for the comment. I don't blame the Italians for hating this, it is hardly authentique but is tasty.

  • No veggies???? You kidding me!!! this recipe its to have a heart attack instantly!...

  • Ugh, you don't even use vegetables or Zucchini's. I like lasagne but not without vegetables!

  • I guess you won't be making this then.

  • im hungry!!

  • Make lasagna!

  • I made lasanga tonight, and this helped!! I detect a PA accent:)? My stepmom is from there, and she cooks just as awesome!! Great post!!

  • How do you think it will taste with chorizo instead of pepperoni?

  • great tips! i like you

  • People think that traditonal means original ingredients. When dealing with pastas, pizza etc, it was design for you to put anything on your pastas! The key is to prepare it! And this recipe sounds delicious! Great job displaying you skills on youtube!

  • Really great video. I didn't have a single question afterwards. You're a great teacher!

  • I am blushing.

  • Thank you a lo for your delicious recipe .

  • Thank you for commenting!

  • man is not lasagna!!! i'm italian, and lasagna here... is very different

  • I understand this is nothing close to a classic lasagne. It is just meant to be an easy meal for the non cook.

  • @kamedj believe me this stuff is still delicious to us americans ha

  • Comment removed

  • @kamedj whats lasagna like there?

  • hey guys nice video specially on video weekends!!! i will replace the wine with beer though hahaha... again great video

  • Beer with Lasagne? You must be crazy!

LOL. Thanks for your kind comments.

  • I totally agree, whine goes nice with lasagna :),

  • your loss kg. weight

  • I really love your videos. I started with macaroni and cheese. It looked a little bit greasy but I want to try it sometimes. I'm korean and everytime I see your videos they remind me of my visit to canada and my host family. Anyway thank you for recipe~~ㅎㅎㅎ

  • Thank you so much for commenting! I hope you come to visit Canada again.

  • You could have used the wine instead of the water for the noodles.. it tastes really good, try it sometimes.

  • thanks, I will

  • thats so easy and looks really delicious ..thank you

  • I made this for my Girlfriend last night. Lasagne is her favourite dish. She was very impressed and said that the diced pepperoni was a real nice twist... That works.

    Thanks for the recipe!

Time to try the Pork Roast... It's Sunday and I can't be going with out the traditional Sunday Roast.

  • I agree with your girl friend, I love lasagne. I would be grateful to hear how the pork roast turned out!

  • it's italian food dude . . .

  • Well, that's rather judgemental seeing how you haven't tried it. Hundreds who have never cooked before have made and enjoyed it. I never suggested it was a classical dish with bechamel and fresh herbs, it is a dish for the non-cook.

That being said, you are entitled to your opinion and good luck to you.

  • I bet your dog would eat it ...

  • Comment removed

  • shut the fuck up, no one cares if youd feed it to your dog or not! if you dont like it, dont watch it!!!!! oh and by the way hes from canada!

  • i will surprise my mother in law with this lagne he he he thanks!

  • Don't! She might come back!

  • lol ha ha

  • I'll give it whirl some time!!

  • I'd love to hear how it turns out.

  • rather amusing if i must say...

but it did look pretty good! Don't ya need more layers??

  • You can do another layer if you want but I find this plenty rich enough. Considering how easy it is, it is very tasty.

  • I LOVE YOU FOR PUTTING THIS ON HERE! lasagne is the best invention since sliced bread

  • I am Italian. Please avoid ruin of Italian dishes. thank you

  • Sorry if you are upset because this isn't authentic Italian but it fills a need for those who don't cook and does taste good. So, I guess I will continue to "ruin" Italian. Sorry!

  • Best reply since ever! Thanks for making my day :D

BTW: Enjoy'd the recipe as well :D

  • Thanks for the comment!

  • please ignore him :))

i luv your recipe, soo tasty :)

  • I'm blushing!

  • Har! Thanks but I think you might want to love someone other than a fat old guy!

  • orsobello,wash your mouth,your breath stinks.

  • Cut him some slack. I'm Canadian and if someone made poutine with cheez whiz, I'd be a little bent too!

  • Why is the guy wearing that jailhouse bathingsuit????!!

  • Huh?

  • btw you are an awsome amateur chef. a good way to test the quality of the chef is the stomach! im a little young so i dont have the skill of yours but i'll surely go to a level you will never have thought possible with time!

  • Thanks for the kind words but you can definitely be a lot better than me if you keep on cooking. Enjoy!

  • yayyy.....my turn to stalk :P:P

  • Thanks for letting me know. Keep cooking!

  • Har! You're welcome! Let me know how it turns out!

  • looks good

    can u make cajun gumbo

  • Yes I can. It is not difficult but it is a bit more than an "easy" recipe. Would you like a video anyway?

  • yes please

    thank you

  • My regrets, my Italian is non existant.

  • oooo looks good. keep it up

  • Thanks, it is difficult to find time sometimes but I enjoy making the videos.

  • whenever i see a realy fat cook i know i can trust them xD

  • Then you must trust me implicitly!

  • I remember your earlier comments. Thanks for your kind words. I'm really glad to hear you are modifying the recipe to what you like. That's cooking!

It is nice to hear from a neighbour in Alberta!

  • Good video but.......this is not italian lasagna!!! No cheese!!!

  • OH GOD!!! NOOOOOO!!!!! You are kind and funny but this is not italian lasagna!!!!

No Cheese! But "Besciamella" (is made with cooked milk!)... than you have to cook pasta and not put it on when you take it from the box!

  • that looks so good i am going to make that.

  • I'd love to hear how it turns out.

  • YUMMMYY! can u believeeee i didn't have a lasanga before?

  • Well welcome to the world of Lasgna!

  • can i be your daughter??

wanna eat ur food everyday ^^

  • Har! Trust me, you could do soooo much better.

  • Usare roba della kraft per fare le lasagne. OTTIMA IDEA! -.-

  • this is an example of big corporate food companies poisoning the minds and taste of people. all of those ingredients are completely against everything good about cooking. jesus christ somebody save me from this world!!

  • this is not italian lasagna maybe american lasagna!

ma come cazzu fate a fa ste porcate

  • I absolutely agree. It is just an easy meal that tastes good. It doesn't measure up to fresh pasta, fine cheese and bechamel.

  • thanks im doing it right know lets see how it turns out in 55 min lol thanks

  • I'd love to hear how it turns out!

  • my lasanga is deelicious! I Also add cooking wine to the tomato paste

  • my lasagnga is heavenly!

  • Make a video!

  • make meatballs as you would for spaghetti but here is the trick! Mash the meatbal mixture in the sauce! DEELICIOUS!

  • Thanks for the suggestion!

  • superb many thanks i have taken some great tips from this video all i need to do now is get cracking with my dish cheers

  • Great! I would really appreciate hearing how it turns out.
