I run a G36 (airsoft), and many mag pouches that I've tried end up snagging the protrusions of the magazines; trying to find a good single G36 mag pouch has been a nightmare.

Would it be possible for you to test a G36 magazine in the Taco pouch and let me know if anything snags?

Dude you are set up! This was a great demo of these mag pouches. I am impressed with your proficiency with your mag changing on both of your rifles! I am currently looking for 308 pouches but am not sure that bungee stuff will hold up here in the desert for very long. Between the extreme heat and massive UV, stuff just does not last. I am hoping to find some non-Velcro positive locking pouches for the Magpul 308 pmags. If you know of any please drop me a link :). Thanks in advance.

I tried rigging my battle rattle like that and was told to slim it down (I found out the hard way when I went prone and tried "low" crawling. Let's just say it wasn't low and it was very slow haha. Either way that's a badass front loader set up you got (looks you're set up for mounted and urban).

Thanks for the video, just ordered 4 pistol mag taco's and 3 rifle mag taco's in Cadpat. Going to make my Wasatch Vest usable for both my 11.5" AR-15 and my "soon to own" 7.5" VZ 58 sporter. One vest that can run both styles with no changes. Hope the pistol taco will be strong enough for the 10 rd 1911 single stack 45 mags. I do like the HSGI stuff!

I have never seen anyone use another mag to eject an AK already in the well. Good idea! On a side note, I used the HSG Wasatch plate carrier my entire tour in Iraq. HSGI means it when they say they make quality web gear. My Wasatch is got some hard use and never falied me.

How durable are those pouches being that they are held together by elastic. I've been thinking about changing to all eagle FB pouches but U want to doublestack them. I don't feel like replacing eastic cordseverytime I cut them though.

Of those, NONE have needed replacement or repair to anything on the Pouch.

There have been at least 1000 TACO's sent to our troops abroad, and still no problems..

Ive been practicing running my ak left handed because i think the the re loads are faster without reaching over the gun, this side by side compairason confirms it for me. You might try practicing that ar with your right, might pick up some speed in your drills. eather way looks like your good to go. nice gear, great vid!

Awesome review. I have a couple questions though.

Do the loaded pouches bounce around a little while running? It seems like they would have a little more play in them due to the elastic, especially while double-stacked.

Also, do you think the tabs on magazines such as the g36 or sig 55x would get stuck on the lip of the pouch? If you think the extraction would be clean every time I could eat up a handful of these.

off topic: i wonder tho, do you shot rifle left handed and pistol right handed? i would keep it more streamlined and having my speed reload ammo pouches on my reaction (weak) side draw from the hip is faster than from the front; have tactical reload pouches (slower) on the front; keep my weapon (strong side) completely clean to get a clear way to my 2nd:ary weapon; med and general pouches etc to on the back of vest; then again i dont know your needs

Thanks. But It only counts if they are that smooth during high stress reloads though. Kinda easy to sit all relaxed and reload quickly.. Check out my El Presidente vid for an example of me screwing up a reload.
