Tannenbaum was a better all around wrestler. Perry shouldnt of even been in this match. That wasnt a takedown aganist Marable he got a HUGE call from the refs. Marable was in on his legs at will the entire bout. If they would have went to OT like they should have Marable would be in the finals NO DOUBT

@drama0108 but perry is good enough of a wrestler to avoid and fight off those takedowns. different style, not a better or worse wrestler.

There's a great book called 4 Days to Glory about Metcalf and Perry going for their 4th state championship. It really explores the culture of wrestling in Iowa. All wrestling fans should read it.

It wasnt dirty, nothing illegal was done, just holding onto his leg. He knew it had been injured, Perry knew he would b taking a risk. Smart wrestling on both parts throughout the match
