For me, Kelly is at her best singing Up To The Mountain (along with Natural Woman from Idol and Because of You at the Grammys). Kelly needs to record an album with material like this! Imagine an organic, emotive album exploring gospel, blues, R&B, and country. Who is with me on this? We need to petition Kelly sooner than later. She would win awards along with a whole new fan base while expanding the musical taste of her already devoted fans.

i dont no why everyone is so keen on the audience staying quiet, kelly loves it. at the concert i went to in manchester england in april 2008, everyone was singing and screaming on every song and kelly loved it and she told us we were her best audience in europe so far and that she loves this audience. check it out, manchester appollo april 08 2008!!! greatest night of my whole life!!!

Well, its cool to have an audience that is soo into the concert screaming and cheering and whatnot.. but there is a time when an audience should bask in a moment like this one... I feel no respect from the audience here.. shut up and listen to this brilliantly sung song..

So, you would prefer that she wasn't true to the original? She is a fantastic vocalist and any artist with any sense would be honored that she sang their song. I love Patty Griffin and I think Kelly performed a moving, soulful version of the beautiful original.

Gosh I must have missed the belt notes that Griffin does towards the end with "SWEET voice SWEET voice"...cause they sure are here. Again Kelly obviously idolizes her, but this version is much, much better.

I was also at this concert. Wasn't it amazing? I'm kind of mad everyone says the crowd should have been quiet. First of all, it's a damn concert, lol. Second of all, Kelly was way into this show. She was ALL about the crowd and was definitely feeling the audience and it showed. She was INCREDIBLE and gave 120% to this show.

Yas it's annoying to have screaming all the way through but- i went to see her a year ago or two and when she sand because of you the whole crowd sang all the way through untill the end when she reached the high note and all it did was make it feel so much more powerful so give the audience a break and get off your high horse!

Agreed - her audiences will learn to chill and let the woman sing her ballads..... Just LISTEN and enjoy the powerful moment. Some songs are for shouting out, bouncing, and singing along. This isn't one of them.

I would just like to say that it is not me screaming or talking during this performance. Not once. There were 4 very drunk girls in front of me who kept saying the foul comments. I do agree with what you're saying, but can you please just overlook that and listen to the vocal? I didn't post this video for you to analize the audience. Thanks.

Kelly Clarkson fans typically have VERY little respect for the rest of the audience, or for Kelly herself.

1. The thing that I find so baffling from these people screaming the whole way through, or talking as though they were on the bus, is why exactly they went to the concert in the first place? If they are screaming and talking, you'd think they wouldn't be able to hear the woman (who they have paid to see) sing.

2. Often I head them say; it's 'a concert - that's what you are supposed to do'. But Kelly Clarkson IS NOT High School Musical. These people clearly haven't been to many concerts REAL artists, the legends of the industry; often sing to absolute silence - their fans hanging on to every note. Many of the Clarkson fans couldn't give a damn.

3. They just want to make themselves known and to vent their insane and childish hysteria. Kelly is possibly the best vocalist in modern pop music, and her fans drown her out at her concerts. What does they say about her fanbase?

THERE ARE other ways to show how much you appreciate Kelly at her concerts. Scream, shout, jump, go wild AT THE END of the performance. It's what CIVILIZED people do - it's called APPLAUSE. And it's all the more noteable after silence and awe. Something that Kelly may never have unless she loses the morons who scream so foully.
