  • Suck it, copyright-hoarding bastards! No money for you!

  • @Spynmaster if the stupid SOPA law pass, maybe this is the last time, well.....the end... of internet

  • @TheOCULUSDEI Won't happen, 'cause SOPA/PIPA postponed theirs indefinitely. =D

  • @Spynmaster uff thx god, so far so good : )

  • @TheOCULUSDEI Now I heard supporters of SOPA/PIPA made their own commercials.

  • This is one of my favorite episodes!! wish I could find the full episode.

  • I started dancing at 1:51

  • OH BOY...THAT was a great series.

  • I love Quantum Leap but I'm glad shows don't have 3 minutes intros anymore.

  • @mongomondomongo .....why? It set up the show perfectly.

  • I remember wondering why Sam didn't have the handlink if he and Al had traded places...

Some fun scenes from this episode include Sam getting Al's memories and personality as a hologram and Sam discovers just what goes on in Al's head.

  • Sam's wife name is Donna Elysee....

  • I remember this episode.... it's called the "Leap Back" ... I think. In this episode, Sam finds out he has a wife, who worked on the Quantum Leap project... and she is determined to find a way to leap him back home.

It was really sad, that in the series finale, Sam never gets reunited with his wife... but Al does with Beth.

You know, after this episode I kept thinking couldn't they have found another scientist to leap into Sam's place, so Sam can return home?

BTW, I luv this intro too.

  • How did you beat the copyright claim?

  • 4 people think sci fi is gay.Nuff said.

  • I like that episode when he leaped into the Captain of the USS Enterprise in the 22nd century.

  • @irenaprude2010 He got stuck there a while though. ;)

  • I LOVED THIS SHOW

  • I grew up on this.

  • need a remake.

  • Where can you watch The JFK episode of this for free?

  • Hey Hollywood! you want to make a movie from something? Make a movie of this!!!!! Hell, I will do you a favor and write some plot for you:

" A Young brillant physicist is experimenting in and momentarily retrieves sam beckett. ...." come up with something from there!

  • Nice work beating the copyright claim! Magical intro.

  • I hope this isn't weird to say but I still get chills from this intro.

  • @kblixt me 2

  • So Sam leaped into a 22nd century Starfleet captain named Jonathon Archer and decided he was tired of leaping?

  • @IndioLoco82 Now that would be a movie I'd buy a gold class ticket to.

  • WATCH,`'THE`,,FULL`;,TV';'SHOW.''ONLINE`''

    GO`.;TO`'`THE,`.URL,`,

  • the one i saw after was creepy

  • WHY HAVENT I LEAPED YET?

  • I want to Make Love to Cindy Crawford in that Quantum Leap Accelerator.

  • OMG! I mean, Oh boy!

  • so what actually happend they using the electic thing on sam

    does it mean that:

    Al leaps now

and sam takes control of siggy

  • There is a slight sympathy tone in her voice, so emotional

  • @offerp84 that's because its his wife narrating it. In one episode he leaps back and Al swaps places. Sam remembers he was married and his wife get together. And her voice is the same as the starting narration. Actually LOL! this is the one they're advertising LOL!

  • I grew up with this show,I loved it and always will!

  • i hope yo god that they don't try to re-boot this series with a film by J.J.Abrams

  • damn i miss this show:(

  • @bloodius22 me too.

  • @bloodius22 ya know its on netlfixwatch instantly all 5 seasons except the first 3 and the last 2 episodes

  • god. that's good.

  • BELLISARIO!

  • And that theme is just the shit, man...

  • Part of me wants to believe that they could bring this show back as is (cast willing, of course) and it would be a hit. Damn, I miss this show...

  • @radudeATL Dean Stockwell is very old at this point, unfortunately. The last episode did leave the story open for it, though.

  • yeh it was great this on a saturday or friday night so nise use to say quantum leaps on

  • Like -A Time Traveler's Wife-

  • When T.V was still great

  • this episode was so EPIC.

  • Are episodes of this show available on DVD?

  • @Immortal1000 Have a look on amazon.

  • @Immortal1000.. yes i got all the sessions but the 5th

  • wow, I grew up with this show because my dad watched it back in the '80's

I had no idea anyone else watched it :P

  • 2 people prefer The Evil Leaper®

  • Awesome.

  • Ok Thank you bitplane!!

  • Think this entire show was such an excellent idea, shame it had to end but all good things do. Remember growing up watching this with my dad who was also a big fan. My favourite episode was the one where Al was supposed to be the devil or something it was like a haloween special. Wouldn't It be excellent to actually have your own hologram?

  • I absolutely loved this series!!!!!

  • END OF SERIES SPOILER ALERT: I could be wrong, but I thought Sam never returned home because of his last gift to Al. Sam lept back to tell Al's wife that her husband was still alive so she'd wait for him. When Al gets back, he happliy reunites with his wife and thus never joins Project Quantum Leap and is never there to help Sam on his missions.

  • i've never seen so much cross-dressing in an opening title sequence

  • Saw this episode today on syfy. Just as good as I remember

  • @rhullded what episode is it?

  • so many jokes about this intro.

  • this is one of the best ep.

  • .... Oh, boy

  • I always thought the theme song was pretty catchy.

  • Quantum leap rulez! . I have a question: can anyone tell me the name of the song or the artist in the episode Killin' time season 5, the music can be heard in the Hooker's room or at the ending credits of the episode. Thank you

  • @Baburzum Get Shazam for Android or iPhone, play the music into your phone and it will recognise it if the tune is for sale.

  • love this show soooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!! scott is hot!!!!!!

  • This was one of my all-time favorite shows, and this was my favorite episode of that show!

  • “Quantum Leap” is one of my all time favorite shows. Although the series finale was terrible.

  • OH NOW THAT IS HOW YOU START A NEW SEASON >:) 5 STARS IF THEY STILL HAD IT.

    OH BOY!

  • I watched like a lot of these episodes, but did sam ever actually get home? Or did he just jump into the body of Jonathan Archer in the 22nd Century to captain a federation ship in a pathetic star trek prequel series and live out the rest of his life in the perpetual pain of a failed TV series.

  • @SuperGareth007

I cry everytime I watch the last episode of QL, it is so sad.

    Sam Beckett never returned home

and I do not dislike ENT (it had promise and was cancelled waxy before its time). Bakula performed good on the series and it should have had more seasons .)

  • @Fitzcairne :( you just ruined the show for me no point in watching now

  • man i loved this as a kid :D

i have to find the series hehe :)

  • I bought the entire collection of this from amazon six months ago, I have watched it 3 times already (I know I have too much free time), thankfuly my mrs also loves cool late 80s early 90s tv shows !

    Quantum Leap Rules ! ! !

  • love it so much

  • That Quantum Leap Accelerator is one Heck of a Cool Time Machine.

  • OH BOY!!!!!!!!!

  • Back when TV shows were allowed to have more than a 15 second intro!

  • NBC needs to do a 2 hr movie to close this show out!!!!

  • "Oh, boy!"

  • This was my favorite episode of the show! XD

  • lol, "Oh Boy"

I never saw this one, I HAVE to get the box set

  • I used to love this show wish they would repeat this show on tv

  • loved this show does anyone know if they play it anymore on any channel for reruns?

  • Did he ever wake up in the waiting room?

  • i love this show :D

  • I luv the intro to this awesome 80s series! the music in the background is quite touching, Tv series just arnt like this anymore. Knight Rider, Mork n Mindy, A-Team and this, those were real tv shows that had a particular feel to them. I dont know, maybe its me getting older.

  • @RaikenXion i agree with you there man, music seemed to play a bigger role in tv entertainment back then, it was actual composing that was involved. there doesnt seem to be a market for adolesence anymore from where im from, but tv back then seemed more stimulating for children as opposed to what it does today, today is a very messed up generation coming through

  • I love this show...its so funny and amazing

  • They started this in England and we all loved it. I knew he wouldnt go back at the end tho. For those of you thinking 'i didnt know' Its your fault for not living. Good post my man :)

  • I was hooked on this show when I was little.

  • you can buy the episodes on itunes. i watch them on my ipad. neat!!!

  • and so Dr Beckett find himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong....

    epic narration

  • Thanks for sharing I loved watching this as a teenager!

I was so into Time Travelling.....

    ;o)

  • Greatest show ever!

  • I love this show! I wish it was still on tv.

  • I started watching this show with my grandma in Elementary school. XD

Though they were all re-runs to her, it was an epic new show to me. o.o

Now I'm 17 and wish they would bring it back! I LOVE OLD SHOWS LIKE THESE! <3

  • i love this show so much..i miss seeing the reruns of it on sci-fi...WILL SOMEONE BRING THESE RERUNS BACK!!!!

  • best show ever. Its on Netflix!!!! i watch w/ Roku

  • Long live Quantum Leap ! I wish Syfy would put it on their lineup, or even USA network! I like humming the theme song.....hmm hmm hmm hum hum hum hum........

  • Whoa...wait....Donald Bellisario.

Was this Series created by the same guy that made NCIS?

If so,not wonder this show is still so awesome even after 20yrs

  • yes it was even had a navy connection to the series as well...

  • How was the Quantum Leap Accelerator made?

  • The String Theory based on quantum physics.

  • With rice crispies treats.

  • @susanasuper lo tiene Netflix en Instant Watch

  • you knwo they got the name of this tv show from the idea that the electron "leaps" from subsphere to subsphere around the nucleus of an atom as opposed to orbiting the atom as the earth does around the sun?

  • How cool!!! To fix the aspect ratio of this video write:

    yt:stretch=4:3

    in the tags.

  • My favorite Show of all Time Can't Wait to get The Collectors Box.

  • One of the best shows!!!

  • cool d

  • Does anyone know who the woman speaking in the intro is? Is she even a character in the show? She sounds so sad... like she knows Sam

  • Comment removed

  • it is Ziggy the Computer Sam Built

  • Beginning with the thirteenth episode of the second season, Bakula's monologue was replaced with a broader introduction explaining the show's premise. This introduction was originally read by actor Lance LeGault (who appears in the first season episode "How the Tess Was Won"), and later by Deborah Pratt (Bellisario's wife, a co-producer and writer on the show). A shorter version of this second introduction, also read by Deborah Pratt, was used for the remaining three seasons

  • But i do love how she reads it!! Really put emotion to it. Hearing her monologue brings back childhood memories.

  • Oh boy.

  • I love this show : )

    Scott Bakula rules XD!

  • @bahamiangreek101 Yes but not a a starship captain!

  • facing images that were not his own can any 1 tell me did sam ever find his way home i missed the last episode when i was a kid!! oh boy!!!

  • At the end of the last episode the narrator concluded with "Dr. Sam Becket never returned home."

  • @langdonboy08 he discovered that it was his unconscious that was guiding his jumps, and he could return home whenever he wanted, but he chose to continue jumping, righting that which once went wrong. he also talked to god.

  • Kinda hard to explain, turns out that sam always had control over his leaps, but his last leap is to tell al's first wife that al was still alive during vietnam, then it just says that sam never returned home, presumably he went about fixing peoples lives afterwards

  • SPOILER ALERT IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THIS STOP READING.

The answer: No! He leaped into the year and day of his birth in his own body (and I don't mean his baby self, I mean his adult self which was really weird) The show ended with him leaping again still in his own body. The impression I got was that he would continue his journey, but without leaping into other people, since he'd gotten his own body back.

  • Best premiere of the show ever!! Loved it that he was able to go home to the present.

  • Actually, no. At the end of the final episode, it said that "Dr. Sam Beckett never returned home."

  • He was able to go home to the present in this episode, then he left again, but at least he was able to go home for awhile.

  • That is true.

  • I love this show - I started watching it 8 years ago in reruns and I have all 5 seasons on DVD.

This is one of my favorite eps!

  • I like this episode too, although I remember the episodes from when they were "live".

Season 3 had most of my favorite episodes.

  • So do I, I was just very young when the show was on (started when I was 6 1/2, ended when I was 10 1/2).

    Season 4 is my favorite!

  • This show was so inspirational I think back to it in my current journey. I'm currently trying to overcome complete paralysis and I'm having to live with my family in Houston I separated from a long time ago. As I'm getting better I'm now on a walker and at the same time repairing lost times and moments with my family. I look back at this show and think I'm righting the wrong and hoping my next step is the step home in SA....literally!!! It's been a journey.

  • @mattgarciatx God bless you Matt!

may you have all you need :)

  • Thank you paquito, may God bless you in your life journey as well. Live a long and eventful life and never get caught up in one spot dwelling on the past, always live for the next day!

  • I remember this episode! Was one of my favorite. I like how they had to mail themselves a letter..

  • Oh my god, I remember this episode! When Al and Sam change places.

  • Beautiful, last saw this in 1993!

  • OH BOY CLASSIC TV SHOW WICKED

  • Quite simply a brilliant tv series. My favourite episode has to be The Leap Home Part 2:Vietnam. This episode shows how much Al sacrificed for Sam while a POW.

  • Cette série est l'une des meilleures qui puissent exister ! J'aimerais que M6 puisse la rediffuser.. ca me rappelle ma jeunesse à suivre les aventures de Sam et Al..J'adore !

  • great show

  • does he ever get home? =/

  • @Ecchiman no at the end of the last episode it just said sam never made it home

  • oh these good ol' theme songs :)

  • It was one of the most wonderful tv's serie that i have seen in my life.. I was catch on it.. excellent... I still remember it

  • I remember the episode where he leaped into Lee Harvey Oswald, and almost prevented JFK from being assassinated then leaped into a secret service guy and was too late

  • anyone know what season and episode this is from?

  • Episode info is in the description. Season 4 episode 1.

  • the diference with another travelers...had no choice. And This gift became a curse.........

  • This was one of the best shows ever!! Wish there were more shows like this!

  • If you like time travel and space shows I recommend Doctor Who! Great series! :)

  • That white outfit is gayer than Liberace.

  • This chick's voice always gets a laugh out of me.

And so Dr. Beckett finds himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap home.

  • I loved that episode :3 Such a twist :3

  • curiously they never traveled beyond 1990

  • Probably because the show was running at that time.

  • It aired between 1989 and 1993...

  • why cant they bring Ql back

  • the best tv show ever ! greetings from Romania !

  • god this brings back great memories :) Great times!

  • 20th?!? Oh, boy! Now I feel like I've time-travelled!

  • this year quantum leap celebreates 20th anniversary will be out on dvd and blu-ray

  • Brings back great childhood memories...though they were only reruns....Fantastic show indeed

  • This show has heart and so have you, liking it :-) You should try the "Highway to Heaven" series. I wonder, what it was with the 80's, that could make such shows. Perhaps we had more money and less worries back than and masses could afford a conscience ;-)

  • OMG!!! this is the cause that i love the series!! this is the best!! i used to practice tae kwon do just because i saw it in this show.. is hardly needed in this era and a retrassmission

  • I love this show, I am a teenager now so I missed out on this show being new.

I am so happy for cable reruns and dvds.

  • I'm glad you enjoy a show that was before your time. It's never too late to enjoy the classics!

  • I use to cry when the woman said. striving to put right that once went wrong and hoping each time the next leap will be the leap home.

  • me too... and the tragic thing was that he never did actually get home

  • I'll be go to hell man! When I watched this, I about shed a tear when she said that and thought I was the only person alive that'd ever admit that!

Great show! Love this show! Empathy and Altruism at it's finest!

  • yeah because you just felt sorry for the guy. it was like he leap to get home and he's place somewhere else.

  • Actually no. I always shed a tear because I'm often reminded of all of the selfish, egocentric, "me me me" "anything to put myself ahead" people. To see a man selfless, sacrificing his own goals, his own dreams and his own ambitions to help other people, to right what once went wrong, not for himself but for others. That my friend is rare. That my friend is beautiful. That my friend is worth shedding a tear over.

  • i agree...i always loved Sam, and always hoped he would get home...

  • I too was deeply moved by this show. Inspired me to save the planet, one person at a time. Beautiful.
