The universe is bigger than we thought, yet smaller than we could have thought. The universe is imperfect, uncontrolled. The universe is expanding, yet not creating more matter in it's path, because it has already created everything, since the start.
All we can do is live in our own worlds created by our brain. That's our fate. We will never create what will happen, just recycle it. What we have discovered, is not a fraction of what there really is.
but who knows? maybe there isn't a beginning or an end. that the big bang is just another miniscule explosion. that we are a universe within a universe within a universe, and outside of a universe is another and another.... because there's always a bigger fish out there.

I think i've watched that video like 8 times and it always still takes my breath away at just how insignificant we humans really are, to look up into the sky and just think that almost everything is beyond our reach. I only wonder at the end of this and well near the end , how much of it is speculation and how much is fact, like I love that we have drones and probes out on our planets in our solar system , but like to see a quasar or things like that, is that just the scientists theorizing?

You would have to go 186,202 miles per second for 13.7 BILLION years to get to the quasars, I mean seriously think about that. It takes about 12 years of driving to get 186k miles, and you would have to go that distance, every second, for 13 billion years. That distance exists. We are insanely insignificant. If you record something from the moon, there is a time delay for the image to get to earth, and the delay will get longer the farther it is away from earth. so the only way you can see the edge of the universe is to be there

the galaxies on the edge of the visible universe wont still be young if you were to actually go to them, they appear young to us because the light they created in their older age hasn't reached us on earth yet. the galaxies wouldn't even be recognisable from our photos of them, they would have merged and been ripped apart by other galaxies.

This film shows the universe as it was maybe millions - billions of years ago. The day the human race comes up with speed fast enough to catch up with the universe is a distant day.

Are ability to make scientific discovery is no fluke or accident. Instead it points to an underlining purpose behind the universe. it is actually designed for discovery. I think God intentionally created a habitat for us, that allows us to see him threw the creations he has left behind and this habitat is conducive to scientific research. wow thats weird, for the past 11 sections of this video we've been in a "spaceship" and now in the 12 part we're peering from earth
the galaxies on the edge of the visible universe wont still be young if you were to actually go to them, they appear young to us because the light they created in their older age hasn't reached us on earth yet. the galaxies wouldn't even be recognisable from our photos of them, they would have merged and been ripped apart by other galaxies.

but when we look at something far away we see it as it was depending on how fast the light traveled...so if we so far that we see another star as it was a year ago...we are technically moving back in time but moving towards the edge...i doubt theres an edge to the universe...if there is it may be impossible to tell...but i think they have got the point...

It's impossible to know what the universe is like right now because everything in it is constantly moving farther away and apart. This film shows the universe as it was maybe millions - billions of years ago. The day the human race comes up with speed fast enough to catch up with the universe is a distant day.

@Darlo770 I'm pretty sure you don't understand that traveling through space quickly also means you must travel through time. The "edge" of space is also the edge of time. To reach that edge and look back would mean you have to look back in time. To comprehend the size of the universe is almost impossible.

Are ability to make scientific discovery is no fluke or accident. Instead it points to an underlining purpose behind the universe. it is actually designed for discovery. I think God intentionally created a habitat for us, that allows us to see him threw the creations he has left behind and this habitat is conducive to scientific research. It didn't have to be that way but it is, why? cuz I believe by doing science we find God.
