@suhanee i feel the same,i cried ,i miss jagjit singh jee a lot.such a greatest voice has no match in this universe.na koi aaj tak unke jaisa hua na kabhi hoga.i have never seen his program live but he lives in millions of hearts like me.bahut yaad aate hai jagjit singh jee.really i miss jagjit singh jee
when i first listened to ''ye kaagaz ki kashti ''; i was so impressed , i straightaway bought the LP and became his ardent fan his divine voice was the only musical respite for music lovers who were suffering from lack of good hindi film music after the mid seventies , he filled the void with his calm , sweet voice which imparted peace to the listeners. his renditions were a balm for the troubled souls. all his ghazals became very popular .his voice was the best amongst ghazal singers . RIP
@crazyoldsongs Suhanee in her preface and you in your comment have put in concise words the feelings of millions who admired JS and are mourning his passing .It's but a small comfort to us to realize with the aid of our Upanishadic wisdom that he has not died as far as the subtle essence of his being is concerned, but has simply become invisible. And as far as his art is concerned,it will remain an everlasting and vibrant stand-in for his external form, now gone.
Heaven got another Angel! His ghazals and compositions will always be evergreen. Such sweetness and calmness was in his vocal that could rejuvenate any living thing in this Universe. How can one hold back tears when he sings...ye Kaghaz ki kashti..... He was the only star in the sky of the ghazals..... He will be missed................ R.I.P
he came to melbourne and i took his autograph on his pic and met him personally just 8-9 months back
gazal world is ended now after u left us. in this pop and rock music's world gazal rocked because of u and now u left us alone with ur all memories and nazame
What a great voice of India.....Lets all pray for recovery of Jagjitji who is currently battling for life in the ICU of Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.....may the Almighty be kind enough as we seek His benevolence..Amen!
jiske bachpan me kuchh nahi woh kya kahe but indeed this gazal takes u to childhood as I had seen this narration with other hats off to lyric and singing too
