  • huh was it really this song? xd

  • I wonder how many people realize that the song that is playing is sung by Leonard Nimoy (aka Spock) in a music video. Google it, and prepare yourself.

  • If that song plays during the credits of the hobbit movie, I will laugh so hard that I urinate.

  • I think it's funny that they don't remember the computer mouse in the 23rd century, but they remember the upright middle finger.

  • Great video.

  • I think about this every time I am at a red light and some jerk is blasting their music out their car windows,,,,,, or talking on a cell phone, in public,,,,, everyone thinks the music that they like is cool and every thing else is lame, I was young and stupid once too,

  • WTF the ballad...

  • ahhh even spock hates lenord nemoy singing

  • @lloydi LEONARD NIMOY *stupid suto check

  • Now... the video of "Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" is freely available here on YouTube in colour and B&W versions. After seeing so much Spock it's quite surreal watching him, yes, without the pointy ears, but actually SMILING! That is something I haven't seen very often. I actually find it a fun song but I guess hearing it enough could piss off one Leonard Nimoy. BTW that "magic ring" in the 1968 video looks a lot like a modern day CD.

  • For me it would be somebody blasting rap, or maybe Bon Jovi, that would most cause me to applaud Spock's actions... I like "Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" and "I Hate You"

  • The song was suck by Leonard Nimoy lol! win

  • THIS IS FROM STAR TREK IV LOL...............SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • man you give me 0:44 second of hysterical laughter

  • priceless,

  • hahha I love it

  • HAHAHAHAHH this was a great dub of perhaps the worst song of all time, and that's coming from a Lord of the Rings fan. Nimoy would no doubt like to give himself the vulcan pinch for ever singing that dreadful tune, LOL.

  • god damn does anyone have the actual video? lol i didnt know everyone hated punk so bad in the 1980s

  • @unknownTVaddict well punk was bigger in the early to mid 70's so by the 80's everyone was sorta sick of it.

  • @theotherguy245689 Timeline's a little off. Punk didn't really exist in the early 70's (you had NY Dolls and Iggy & the Stooges for example, but they were neither "big", nor recognized as "punk rock" yet). Punk's heyday was circa 1977, but that was mostly in the UK and to a lesser extent, NYC. In California, where the movie takes place (SF, home of DK) punk was in fact "bigger" in the 80's than before. That said, there's never been a time straphanging comuters would like that "i hate u song"!

  • spock sung the song

  • Genius.

  • Disliked for calling it the original version.

    Funny song though.

  • LoL...now that's funny. Cant believe you found that old recording.

  • Nimoy turned his own music off!! LOL...

  • Thank God it wasn't Shatner singing 'Rocket Man'.

  • LOL! I can see how Nimoy's Bilbo Baggins vocals would've annoyed an entire bus full of passengers, including space travellers from the future.

  • @gorillabelly1 His version of "Sunny" is "other worldly"

  • Where's "Friday" version of this video? :D

  • i love star trek. I want a telemovie.

  • Not even he (Spock) can listen to this shit very long!

  • Spock sings this song... :)

  • did Bilbo REALLY need a song?

  • @themonkeymN did God really need the bible?

  • wtf Bilbo has a song.

  • When the hell will the REAL version of this scene go back on YouTube?

  • @SG1Mitchell Dude, it's all over the place. You can start looking by noticing the suggestions bar to your right. Just click until you find it, it's not that hard.

  • LOL this is great.

  • should have had one of Shatner's songs playing

  • Awesome....I LOVE IT !! Even though the original scene is classic, this injection of humor with a some from Leonard's dabbling into music in the 60's is iconicly funny !

  • lol everyone starts claping

  • hahahahahahahahaaaa this made my day

  • Does anyone else here realize that the song about Bilbo Baggins was sung by Lenard Nemoy? It's a funny joke edit.

  • @derman077 Do you realize that his name is spelled Leonard Nimoy?

  • well spock is the biggest hero on the bus :)

  • hawhawhaw

  • Boy I wish they had spocks at schools to take care of punks...

  • OK, this one wins the funniest version of the clip. Off now to clean the paints I just soiled from LMFAO...

  • Where is the fucking original?????

All I ever find is pranks or modified ones.

  • *claps*

  • wow what a gay song i thought AC and DC was good and metallica but this song

  • wow what a gay song

  • The punk rocker was hardcore jamming out like that to Bilbo Baggins? ...ok...

  • Very Funny!!

  • @alexistarr

Shut up bitch and come suck this dick again my whore.

  • @Imfukingalexistarr Your vocabulary is truly inspiring, your use of language is remarkable, checking out your channel profile reveals that you are a true and faithful...MORON...

  • @clbill

Hmmm, you must want me to come fuck you too. Inbox me your info. Maybe we can chat sometime.

  • @Imfukingalexistarr You don't want to mess with me, asshole, you will never survive it, but if you insist...

  • @clbill

    You are bending over already?

  • @Imfukingalexistarr It has become abundantly clear you have no brain, you are a worthless animal, a true scumbag and a pathetic idiot. So, further time spent on your inanity cannot be justified, you are a coward and a pervert, so, STFU, consider yourself irrelevant, I sure consider you irrelevant and a total waste of everything, I wish you a long and miserable life...

  • @clbill

You thought that you could say anything to anyone, and to be addressed properly? You shouldnt bend over so easily.

  • @Imfukingalexistarr Consider yourself dead, I do. THE END

  • @clbill here, I didnt start to fuck you yet!!

  • @alexistarr

    You there?

  • OMG hilarious stuff

  • he must hate his own singing enough to mind melt the guy who listened to it, lol.

  • always him, always!

  • Turn those Hobbits down!!!

  • I met Leonard Nimoy.... I MET HIM!!!!! And he was very nice too, I asked him for a hug and he gave me a hug. Best. Day. Ever.

  • Hey! That's the guy from Civilization IV!

  • Must be the bus to the awesomesauce factory.

  • This makes me giggle so much.

(It frightens me that anyone said "Sure, Leonard. Record that...and then sell it...)

  • I think it'd be funnier if it were a Shatner song. :D

  • Spock says, "I am not Leonard Nimoy"

  • I've always wanted to learn how to do that. I also like how none of the people check to see if the guy's okay.

  • @ShadowSoldior its not really possible in real life otherwise everyone would do it :D

  • @GODLIKE20000 Well I do know you can squeeze people's pressure points and render them unconscious, but probably not as instantly as that xD

  • @GODLIKE20000

It's possible but it recuires extreme accuracy, so it's hard to do.

  • This scene could work with many songs, I think it'd be very funny if you had a justin beiber song playing.

  • I LOVE YOU SPOCK!!! MARRY ME!!!!

  • I hate punk rock.

    The lyrics are highly illogical

  • @AustinSmith1993

    HAHAHA

  • @AustinSmith1993 most punk rock bands lyrics (at least here in Spain) critizices the corruption of the system and the oppresion the politicians make against people by using their "forces of the order" and manipulating the mass media. I find these kind of songs much more "logical" than the meaningless bullshit sang by the "mainstream pop bands and singers", such as Hanna Montana, the Jonas, etc...

  • @AustinSmith1993 not all punks bad the Iggy Pop is pretty cool, and the sex pistols, Ramines, Smiths too.

  • @AustinSmith1993 and your comment is highly retarded.

Ive been a punk for 20 years. Infact i just got home from a punk show in East L.A 5 minutues ago

Crust punk lyrics have some well thought out stuff... even though i don't listen to crust punk

  • @AustinSmith1993

That wasnt punk music. Just sayin'.

  • I lol'd

  • This version was not the original version (the version screened for theatrical release) as claimed by the description.

  • so spock has something against hobbit songs. lol.

  • 0:15 Kirk is like WTF

And Spock is like please don't ask........

  • that is actually Leonard Nimoy singing. There is his music video here on youtube...it really scares me.

  • Hahahahahahah nice.

  • Spock is a HERO!!!

  • LOL!!! Well done clip. :) Very funny. :)

  • WOAH! Such kind of hard-ass rock music has to be silented by the epic touch, no disagreeing here!

  • amazing!!!!

  • LOL! That was hilarious. But Leonard has a great singing voice. D: Now if William Shatner's "Mr. Tambourine Man" was playing, then I could understand. xD

  • no rocketman or mr tambourine man?

  • @bing78

    Good idea actually.

  • Wow...Spock hates boom boxes and his own singing...who da thunk it..this was hilarious.

  • LOL!!!

  • This is the best in the "Kirk and Spock Ride the Bus" saga, because it's the most ironic.

    And it made me LMAO.

  • LMAO

  • LOL Spock doesn't want to listen to his own song XD

  • LOL that was great

  • LOL that was fucking amazing.

  • Hahaha! THAT WAS HILLARIOUS! Nimoy is an okay singer but I'd much rather see him act! XD Hillarious!

  • OMG!! Its true he did sing it!! lol *Claps* Go Spock!

  • LOL you rock

  • OMG, it's hilarious

  • No, the original had some British band instead, I don't who. Still a good scene, but I honestly think it would've been better with this song placed in.

  • WIN!!!!

  • The bravest hobbit of them all..

  • AND I

    BERATE YOU

  • And I can't wait to get to you

  • @jpg50

    AND I

    SAY SCREW YOU

  • Absolute love!

  • Hahaha, totally did NOT expect this! And the way you cranked it up, too...

  • I liked the one they put in the film better, where the song is "I Hate You" or whatever, it suits him more than some parody pop song.

  • True, but do you realize that's Spock (Lenord Nimoy) singing the song that's being played in this video?

  • lol really?

  • Really, really. Just serch "Spock Bilbo" and you should find it.

  • Thats a Leonard Nemoy song, "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins"

  • Epic win!

  • SUBSCRIBE

  • I love you for these vids. Poor Leonard!

  • hahah spock's like "fuck you!"

  • I just about laughed myself to death when I saw this!

It requires some prerequisite knowledge, but if you have it this is brilliant!

  • hahahahaha

    Great Spock!

  • I lol'ed

  • hahahah very clever indeed. jesus mary and joseph what was nimoy thinking with that song!

  • I guess Spock doesn't think "Hobbits are peace lovin' folks" at all.

  • love how he cranks the vol

  • 20tornado07 is correct. I read that Kirk was Margaret Thatcher's son at a Star Trek site, and assumed it was true. I just did some research and Kirk was born in the Los Angeles area.

    I stand corrected.

  • even nimoy disapproved of that song.

  • rotflmao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I <3 Nimoy!

  • Oh yes, punk really listen to Leonard Nimoy, the best punk ass from the Vulcan system.

  • Ooouuuucchh.

  • -claps-

  • XD no matter how many times I watch this, it never stops being hilarious.

  • i know!!! :P

  • O.O

    *Favorite*

  • you know that punk is Kirk Thatcher - son of former British premier Margaret Thatcher. How cool!

  • i didn't know he was related, but i did know he was a producer or something for the movie

  • I'm afraid your information is a little incorrect. Yes, the punk is Kirk Thatcher but he is of no relation to the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. She only has two children - Mark and Carol Thatcher, born 1953.

  • That was the funniest thing I've ever seen!!! It's always good to see that people know how to make fun of themselves. Loved this! :D

  • Lol that was great!

  • LEAVE LEONARD ALONE!!!!!!!!

  • you sound like that person who said leave britny alone

  • @yesvulcan which one, Nimoy or McCoy.

  • I love Kirk´s nod when he´s clapping for Spock ^__^

  • Hahaha!! Where is that song from?

  • its "the ballad of bilbo baggins"

  • The funniest part is: that's actually Leondard Nimoy singing.

  • @Forlo12345

lol i thought it sounded like him!

  • @MoonarEclipse Well, that's actually his song. "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins." He wrote and performed that during his musical career.

  • @Forlo12345 No! Its Spock And The Vulcan Chicks Choir!

  • @Forlo12345 This realization has just made my day.

  • @Forlo12345 ..If you have to explain the joke it's no longer funny.

  • lololol

  • True sci-fi giants don't DO no fantasy stuff!

  • Wait...was this the actual song in the movie?

    OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!!

    LISTENING TO YOUR OWN SONG!!!!!!!

    I just died.
