A purebred (to me and most enthusiasts I know) is a naturally aspirated (no forced induction), high compression, high revving, high horsepower-per-liter (90bhp/L+) DOHC 6-cylinder or more mated to a RWD chassis with independent suspension and hitting 0-60mph in 5sec or less.
Turbos muffle the sound of an engine, but then again, GT-R and Supra engines aren't purebreds like the GT3 and any modern Ferrari engine so they would still sound like ass (even with no turbos).
@golf1diesel I know what both cars sound like, so no. The high pitch is the ferrari and the lower is the porsche. The higher pitched is louder and better sounding even in the porsche. I stand by my original comment that was made over 2 years ago. ;) You would not be able to hear the porsche if the filming was in the 430.
@bigpyoopypants then maybe you should watch this video and listen as the gt3 completely drowns out the sound of the f430, nevermind that the f430 is behind it the whole time...

A sample list:
Acura NSX (290hp - 3.2L V6)
E46 BMW M3 (333hp - 3.2L I6)
E92 BMW M3 (414hp - 4.0L V8)
Porsche...all current non turbo models
Ferrari....all dating back the mid 90's
Out of character count...

The Ferrari's still louder, and better sounding from inside the Porsche. Still both great cars though.

@golf1diesel Unless you have a video of me hearing a Porsche inside a f430, I don't see what that has to do with anything.
