ha, your the same duff i saw posting on camaro5 about this intake but yeah nice camaro. I want the r2c intake because it looks great but i was trying to find reviews on it other than their site but couldnt. was there something that made you choose them? (besides looks)
@djTiny7@djTiny7 I didn't rev the car past 4K because I was in the work parking lot. It's definitely closer to JJ's sound in real life. Plus I have the LS3 exhaust on my L99 and he has the L99 exhaust I think. Somewhat different tone. Listen to my video of me mashing the gas in a tunnel. Did you hear that one yet?
@djTiny7 i just watched that too and i didnt think it sounded different, considering there can be a difference in camera mic, wind, and camera placement. great sound though, but nothing compared to a vette.
okay I have the corsa and kn intake, i just spoke to kooks and i'm ordering the same headers as you except i'm not sure if you have cats or the off-road connection pipe. I've based everything I've done to my camaro off yours, I mean listen to that thing, you almost get a supercar sound towards the high revs.
@djTiny7 Thanks for the compliments man, you will truly be in love with the car when you put the headers on. I have high flow cats. I heard that the car smells like gas if you go with the off road pipes and it doesn't add that much power. I just ported my throttle body (VMAX) and the gains are awesome for $150 bucks.
PS when you rev it, you will scare small children :)
@duffmobile Hey I appreciate your reply. I will definitely be going with the cats because I just wanted to make sure that the cats weren't going to get in the way of that amazing sound. Dude I watch this video 3 times a day, that sound is a symphony to my ears. Now when you hopped into the car and started driving after you got the headers, I'm hoping that the hp and tq gains were very noticeable? I've seen very few of this combination (kooks and corsa) on the internet.
@djTiny7 I had about 320 RWHP bone stock. With my intake, headers, corsa and a tune I am at 366 HP and 380 TQ to the rear wheels (on a mustang dyno which is more conservative). I'm pushing about 470 at the motor. You can definitely feel the power gains, I highly recommend a dyno tune to take full advantage of the power. Best thing is that the car SCREAMS at WOT and is whisper quiet just cruising.
@duffmobile did you run that beast down the quartermile yet? I'm really interested in seeing a time difference with the intake, corsa, and kooks headers. I'm hoping to hit at least 12.7, what do you think? Am I being tooo hopeful?
@mrh923 Got a tune for sure. Wasn't worried about throwing codes without a tune, but wanted to make sure my car would perform at its peak. So far it's been awesome! Going to be adding a VMAX CNC'd TB soon, should be a touch faster.
@MrKnighthead Perfect. When you are cruising, its very quiet to silent, mash on the gas and its loud. The engineers really made the cabin quiet. The exhaust is probably 10x louder than what I hear while driving.
@malikmurad93 I didn't install this myself. I had the shop do it. From what I understand if you order the Kooks Headers Plus cats and the corsa catback it bolts right up. Call Brandon at Maryland Speed for part numbers. He gave me the best pricing in the world! Phone- 443-730-9428
