  • They would have made the most gorgeous couple. Owen would have become a better man and Tosh a better woman.

  • I like a lot of people don't cry at tv shows but this just had me in tears and right now I'm still upset about it :,( Tosh was my favourite character in show and when she died I just broke down in tears :,( please bring Tosh back and Owen aswell. This is saddest thing I have seen on tv :( and to me it always will be :,( RIP Tosh & Owen :,(

  • That was so hard to watch. Very well done.

  • @The13Memories It was their final appearance. :'( Though they do get mentioned here and there in series 3/4.

  • Do you ever see these two again or was that their final appearance

  • (T~T)

  • and once again i am in utter tears!

  • I cried so hard after this scene... I know it'll be worse when Ianto dies :(

  • tis episode broke my heart and then esther died that broke my heart too

  • why have i never seen this episode?

  • i dont really like Tosh and Owen together i like Owen and Gwen

  • tosh is still my favorite and id replace her life for jack or gwen's life ANYDAY :(

  • Saddest Torchwood ever

  • T^T

  • Jack's twisted smile shatters me every single time.

  • I've not even watched all of the seasons of this (exept for Miricle Day) and I'm already crying!!!!!!!!! D:

  • When Toshiko says Owen is breaking her heart it just shatters mine.

  • Saddest moment ever I cried more at this than at my dads funeral :| true story bro

  • i always felt sorry fro Tosh. She was never really happy on the show. Gwen had Rhys. Jack had Ianto, and she loved a man who didn't really love her back till the end.

  • I really hope that in the Torchwood/Who Universe they make an exception for these two and they end up in heaven for all their good deeds like Eugene did in Random Shoes!

  • God fucking damn it. Fuck everything.

  • "Exit Wounds" was the first episode I ever watched of Torchwood! It's so sad! I actually cried! My and my friend Claire both like Tosh, and when she died we were both bawling our eyes out! :'(

  • Tosh........Christ, I wanted her as a companion back in 2005, no joke. I was like 'She's pretty, she'd be cool...';-(

  • TOSH.

Ugh. Tosh dying was the only time I had ever cried watching a TV show/movie. :(

  • The crying was all natural. Naoko was genuinely upset about leaving the show, and she did it all in one take.

  • @BlaiddDrwg2009 i curse t. davis still to this day

  • It tyes in with dr who Space pig

  • The way Tosh says "Because you're breaking my heart"... God, that's probably one of the most beautifully acted moments I've ever seen on television.

  • @guidinglightismylife agreed :)

  • I'm pretty sure the power plant Owen's in is the one that the Slitheen lady built.

  • this is one the most amazing scenes simply because the emotion the actors give in scene and the music makes this one the most heartbreaking scenes

  • I love Tosh!!

Don`t do that to her, plz~~

bring her back !!! And Bring Ianto back too~~

  • :'( Come on !!! the cant do that to Tosh and Owen fans :'( Miss the old Torchwood too :(

  • "because your breaking your heart" This was so sad, i bawled when they both died. Loved these two and they never got together :( miss the old torchwood. the new series won't be the same without Ianto, Owen and Tosh :(

  • can't get throught this without crying :(

  • Oh god. I'm bawling like a baby. They just had to go together though. It was only right. :'(

  • owen was always my favourite character, i always wanted him and tosh to get together, and when they finally realised it was too late :'( :'(

always cry here, the writers were just amazing, this was the only way they could've sent off two such amazing characters

    <3 owen :'( :'( :'(

  • @MissCharmed789 Exactly how I feel.

  • In one sense if they both had to die it is almost poetic it happened at the same time but different situations. I really think if one had outlived the other it would have been so devastating the survivor could not have carried on. Just tragic they never admitted to one another they were in love with each other.

  • @mysticalwind72 And I like how it was reversed to their characters. Toshiko spent most her time alone, she rarely confided in the others like Owen did (Gwen, we know how. Ianto, when they had that argument over opening the Rift, and Jack after that), yet she died in the arms of the others....really, that was just..... :(

  • what a sad scene and brilliant torchwood agents.

  • i cry everytime i see this scne xx

  • Have never watched this show, and I was in tears.

  • トシコ 。。。 眉毛は薄過ぎるけど 。。。 You're the best!! I feel I'm so ignorant coz I didn't realize that you are soooooooo wonderful in deed till you died. Oh, Toshiko... また、あなたにトーチウッド ( not in ドクター・フー ) で会えることを楽しみにしていますっ!!!

  • not as sad as ianto's death, i balled my eyes out, but i was soo sad when owen died

  • i have watched this about 25 times and it always gets to me :(

  • Bring everyone back :):) Ianto <3, Owen and Tosh :) but that's just wishful thinking :(

I'm gonna cry when I see the first episode of season 4 next summer ...

  • @marcsharp82 Personally, I love Ianto, and I was extremely frustated when he was killed, but I would give everything to also see Tosh and Owen back, along with him. It's just incredible how this show kills every interesting character ...

  • Damn when Tosh (whom I love) died I couldn't stop crying...

  • what about cpr...

  • @LoAfXD

Seems to me like she bled to death (haven't seen the full episode though), so cpr would be pretty much useless.

  • Tears, every time.

  • makes me cry every time

  • so sad :(

  • Shit, I'm not even a fan of this or eve Doctor Who, but that one time I came across this ending, I could not believe how intensely dramatic this thing was. The scene, the dialogs, their death, Owen and Tosh's attitude... but most of all the music itself; magificient.

I cried the first time I saw that even if I barely knew the show at all

  • that music is indeed pure gold.. in tears every time i hear it ;<

  • Weeping again. This is horrible.

  • Shouldn't Owen be kind of "happy" to die? Because I don't know anyone who would want to live in the state he was in after being ressurected

  • i don't think owens dead cos we never actully saw him die

  • 2 years and this scene still gets me every time.. Still can't believe we have to wait another year for series 4 :(

  • fuck dude. it sucks that both were destined to die. thats what u call a double wammy.

  • I hardly ever cry during movies and tv shows. I cried - hard - as I watched this. The way the music flows with the scene...I never stood a chance. It was beautiful and so very, very painful to watch.

  • gets me every time.....

  • now i finally get the space pig thingy... but oh my god this is so sad... =(((

  • @myladypunk yeah, it took me a few watch-throught to realise that was a reference to Aliens in London

  • The second she says 'you're breaking my heart'....i start bawling

  • dont fucking cry......

  • i couldnt stop crying when i saw this, and now that im watching it again, im crying like a two year old D:

  • I was in a ball crying on my couch when I saw this

  • Owen's gonna regenerate into Matt Smith while he's at it.

  • Makes me ball every single time. As soon as Toshiko gets to 'you're breaking my heart...'

oh.... that's gets me every time.

  • Omg, can people watch this without crying?

This is the sadest moment in Torchwood! < 3

  • @TheMogaProduction97

    i know i cant ;(

it's way to sad for me :(

  • NICE JOB IDIOTS!!!

  • "You never knew.."

    Tosh&Owen

  • This made me cry so much

  • Which song is this, the one that starts at 3:38?

  • @IKillIAm It's called "Goodbyes" and its part of the Torchwood soundtrack (Search "Goodbyes Torchwood"). It includes the whole bit that Tosh and Owen are talking. The bit afterwards is called "Death of Toshiko". Ooh I'm such a nerd 8)

  • @SuperCactusman Sometimes Nerds are useful ^^

    thank you :)

  • @IKillIAm You can find the songs on YT! :)

  • russell t davies seems to like to get rid of people with radiation

  • @NomesyTroy True!

  • I think one of the highlights that is overlooked in this scene is Ianto pointing out that Owen is still at the Nuclear plant. His voice is broken and it just finishes breaking my heart. I think it's symbolic how good of friends they became toward the end.

  • Did John shoot her?

  • @TheRockChick98 It was Gray

  • @Griceinho Gray?

  • @TheRockChick98 Captain Jack's brother.

  • oh my..that was seriously the most sad thing, are you kidding me

  • This is one of the best acted scenes I have ever seen in my life. And coming from someone who's been acting for 15 years, that's saying a lot!

  • lame...

  • I want Owen Ianto and Tosh back for season 4, that would be so cool :l ( No im not dumb enough to believe something so brilliant would happen )

  • i cryed when i watched this i hate they made them die i could not stop cryin

  • However, it was an amazing performance by the actors. They did that entire scene in one take and nailed on the first try. All the crying was completely real, because it would be the last time John Barrowman (Jack) and Eve Myles (Gwen) would work with Burn Gorman (Owen) and Naoko Mori (Toshiko).

  • If you watch closely when Jack and Gwen find Tosh, you can actually see the light leave her eyes. It's one of the saddest things I've ever seen.

  • @Jikkir813 Ooh, that's a nice effect.

  • I DIDNT CRY, WHO SHOT HER?

  • Jack's brother shot her

  • i cry EVERYTIME i watch this

  • are you kidding?? at least he came back to life

  • how did tosh die?

how did the other two people not die?

  • tosh got shot the other two didnt(thats why she on the floor

  • what a mean bro :(

  • Jack's brother shot her

  • this is sooooo sad everytime iwatch it i cry...not to self stop watching...

    torchwood has the best deaths.

but david tennant going made my cry too but these ones are soooooo sad the acting is amaze!

  • One of Torchwood's sadest scenes. The writers and actors on this show really do know how to send off their characters like Owen, Tosh and Ianto. All 3 had great endings. I also loved the reference to Doctor Who in this scene: when Tosh pretended to be a medic in Dr Who series 1 with the 'Space Pig'.

  • such an emotional scene :( brings tears up every single time i watch this

  • you see this is why this sort of thing should not be allowed on television, you watch it then youre a blubbering wreck for three quaters of an hour after

  • i agree soo much with u

  • aaggrrreeeeeddddaa!!!!!!

  • God, so sad:( brilliant acting, beautiful music. so so sad.

  • Owen's like 'i can make as much noise as I want!' AHHHHHHHHHH! Made me smile that bit but the rest just had me in tears...

  • Tosh deserved better, so did Owen.

  • most powerful scene ever.

  • wow that was so sad

  • the lady who plays tosh is a brilliant actress. this made me so bawl.

  • @hibs0102 oops scratch the "so"

  • they actually didnt rehearse these scenes, because they were so hard to do. those tears were real :'(

it makes me dry every time

  • Makes you dry...

    So you was wet?

    lololol

  • i dnt get it how did they die ?

  • @therealsharonlam Owen was radiation or coolant or whatever and Tosh was a bullet and blood loss if I remember

  • Naoko Mori's delivery was fantastic. Especially of the line, "Because you're breaking my heart," -- because it could have easily gone the other way, and flopped. Naoko Mori made it heartbreaking instead of potentially cheesy. Wonderful actress, and what a powerful line.

  • @stolenxkisses so true. that sob midway through the line was real though, as i've said before, these scenes weren't rehearsed, so the tears were real. i dont blame them. i bet it had everyone on set crying! i love torchwood and i was so annoyed they killed tosh and owen like that, but it was very well done and very well written

  • 1:00-1:07, 7 seconds that made that episode so fantastic

  • you know, no matter how many times i see this, i have tears in my eyes every time

  • @drwhotorchwoodfan

Same! i cry everysingle time. the part that gets me tho is when tosh says "Your breaking my heart" <3

  • WHYD OWEN AND TOSH HAVE TO DIE! Why couldnt martha be apart of the team then she die!?!

  • i cryed like a baby in this episode.. i loved owen and tosh

  • If he does that he would save ianto to..!

  • "because you're breaking my heart" ahhh those words right there, that one phrase had me weeping like a waterfall.

  • This makes me cry;l Jack could've left to find the Doctor at the end of series 3 then he comes back for Gwen and leaves Rhys with the baby then Jack, Gwen and The Doctor go back in time to save Owen Tosh and Ianto ;)

  • Didn't you see what happened with Pete Tyler?

  • Nope, I don't watch Doctor Who that much. What happened?

  • Oh.. Well Rose went to the moment in which her father Pete died because she wanted to be there for him while he died since he died alone but instead she prevented his death and because of it a paradox began which was going to destroy the world.

But than again he saved people in The Fires of Pompeii and they clearly were supposed to die but nothing happened when he saved them so eh maybe it is possible to save Owen and Tosh!

  • I cried so hard (mainly for tosh) its so sad.... i cant belive it. = [ even though i missed all the series apart from COE i wached them on youtube... i cried my mum came down she was like "whats wrong emma??"i said "TOSH AND OWEN HAVE DIED!!" i have a friedn called Owen she was lie "WAT??" lol! but really, this was so sad...

  • holy crap. 2:12 tosh looks like a zombie!

  • awe that was soo sad....(tear)

  • "give me one good reason why i shouldn't stop screaming!!".... "because you're breaking my heart" ... :( well i'm not going to lie, i'm in tears! that line just gets me everytime, incredibly emotional yet so perfect in its own way (:

  • @katharineeeee

    shouldn't KEEP screaming

  • I don't know about the rest of you, but the only way I could get through this was to keep telling myself it's sci-fi and conceivably ANYTHING can happen. Otherwise it's all just too much! I'm waiting to see if there's a Season 4--does anyone know, btw?--and how they expect to bring us back with the loss of so many beloved friends. If Davies and Gardner don't find a way to make this right I will never forgive them!

  • I wont lie I cried like a little baby when this happend.

  • Nooo :(.

Is so fucking bad, that Toshiko and Owen diee e:(.. noo

  • Ouch. *sobs* Why did I watch this again? =( Still one of the saddest things I've seen in a TV show.

  • this scene always breaks my heart everytime i see it it was awrful seeing tosh bleeding to death after gray shot her :(

  • Finally someone who hasnt just got this scene, dumped it in windows movie maker and put All American Rejects over the top ruining the diologue. Thank you!

  • as soon as I read your comment, I looked to the Related Videos and saw "Owen/Tosh - Death Scene - No Air"

    lol!

  • Its weird, Doctor who and torchwood just draws people to rape a scene by uploading it taking out the diologie and putting a song by 3 Doors Down. If they really love the show, just upload the bloody clip and dont fuck about with it to "make it their own" or because the song fits the situation. (I really dont know how "No Air" fits two people dying one of a bullet wound and one from nuclear material!) (This is in no way taking a stab at THIS video dont worry!)

  • Every time I watch this scene, it makes me cry

  • They can´t die they don´t die

  • i not bein mean and im not a hater but this is just funny

  • are the really dead!?!? :'(

  • Because your breaking my heart! Is sooo sad, I'm always in floods of tears

  • I know right?! That line is just so heartbreaking!

  • Oh Jesus... so sad. Why do they have to make them like that? I hope that one day Russel T Davies sees sense and brings Owen back, he could easily get around him dying with some technobabble that no one else will understand.. Can't help it, I've got to watch it again.

  • I think Tosh has to be Torchwood's most tragic death. She was just so lovable. I really missed her in season 3 :(

  • "we just sort of missed eachother"

    so sad

  • Space pig....is that the alien dummy from Doctor Who, Aliens of London? Naoko Mori was in that episode playing a doctor, wasn't she?

  • Yea i assume it was cos she did play that actor in Dr who owen was the only one who you didnt see in the new series of Dr who because tosh, gwen jack and ianto all appeared in one episode or another.

  • Actually Ianto and Owen didn't.

  • o yea haha I realised that after i put it

  • think so?

  • I was really annoyed when Tosh died. She was awesome.

  • well, at least they die together, or so^^

  • yeah i agreed i like gwen

  • this has to be the saddest part in torchwood and in the end the only one left is gwen because Ianto, Owen and Toshiko die and jack goes off somewhere

  • 1:05... makes me cry quick!... and then even worse when she gets shot... I've loved Tosh...why she go? This is heartbreaking... *tear*

  • Yeah...because I wasn't already still depressed enough over Ianto I thought I'd revisit this....wow....

Truely great tv, but god do they have to?!

  • the most heart rending dual death scenes in all tv history in my opinion. the saddest thing i have ever seen :(

  • Sooooo sad

    They rocked

    RIP TOSH AND OWEN

  • fucking brilliant acting from both of the actors!

  • poor owen
