Hi there. Just subscribed to you. I just love your videos. I was searching ideas for raised gardens and found you. I have watched many of your vid's. Just wanted to say..you are adorable. I love your personality.. You remind me so much of our priest....except he doesn't swear!!haha.
NEEM! It's an essential oil and it works against mosquitos for sure. I use it every day on my body. Also, it can be used lightly on plants. Neem is something everyone should have at home; it has a lot of uses. Google it!
Now why would a gardener who would never put chemicals on his plants spray that crap all over his face?? lol..that stuff is toxic..perhaps u could make a spray w/garlic and olive oil and spray your face just like the organic pesticide u make, hehe :)~
well, we dont have snow any more but we have weeks and weeks of rain. my vegetables arnt dieing but, I have no idea if they are going to produce any thing this year. your garden looks good. I will keep my fingers crossed with mine.
about your cabbage.. dont be worried about the extra.. make krauts! there are some great kraut recipes on youtube. you can add all kinds of stuff to it if you dont like it plain.. like carrot and beet.
Ive been watching this vidio from expert village and they said you should cut off the branches without flowers because the fruit needs more energy or somthing is this true?
Heck, I'm in the south and I've never managed to grow a decent watermellon. Apparently the mountains of NC are still just a wee bit too cold to suit them.
LOL!!!! I don't shave before a vid actually.....makes me look more rugged ;) I'm trying not to use off....they say you can't beat the deet..but I feel like deet is not good for us! I hope I get strawberries this year!
Looking great. are those cucumbers you got called spacemaster cucumbers? I have two of them in pots in the back yard and about 10-15 flowers on each plant. oh my goodness.! you are not kidding they i think they are going to produce tons
AHAHAHAHAH!! this vid had me laughing... lol it burned like hell !! lol and what kind of poisonous soil do you have... this whole vid was entertaining... lol
Cucumbers, onion, garlic, salt, (pepper), touch of sour cream, (maybe a dab of vegetable oil)-the best on a hot summer day with some corn on the cob. You can add tomatoes (or really anything if you want). You won't waste the cucumbers-pickle them with peppers & cabbage...
ha ha -- Is there any gardener on YouTube that LIKES to thin their plants?!? We all seem to HATE thinning. I love to weed, (yes, I do), but don't ask / make me pull out my babies!!! LOL
@SkeeterUK You have all these cucumbers that you don't know what to do with them. You throw them over the fence, give them to neighbors or skeet shooting with them. Someone with a shotgun says, "Pull" and another person sends a disc flying through the air for them to shot out of the sky.
Wash the off OFF my face before I shave...Got it LOL!! I am growing the same cukes you are, and I LOVE them! I throw a few at my neighbors cat, but the rest, I make tons of pickles with ;-) After taking your advice on how to cut and grow my maters, my plants are growing just like yours, so I may actually get a tomato this year !! I can't believe your "Brian" tomato plant.... holy cow!! Thanks for the tour, they are always fun to watch!
Literally billions, huh? Pointing at a plant and calling IT crazy? Great vid, Ray. Thanks for the laughs! Looks like the garden is coming along nicely.
Reminds me of my haberno pepper & why a light wash of the hands after digging out the seeds IS NOT ENOUGH! when you go pee. An adventure in tender parts burning in HELL & you can't put it out! Thanks for the tip on deet : ) I like to avoid that lol
Just bought 5 strawberrys w a few runners each. Now I have 8 rooting : )
Built beautiful raised 6x6 Redwood (got cheap) bed w 4x4 corners cut 4x4s to angle 18" long to stake, beat it all to hell sledge hammering it in lol but it works

@kokonutbaby1 Garlic and oil? I dunno if that would slow down a Mosquito, but it sounds delicious!!! lol
ps: I've tried lots of natural things, but these flying vampires don't mess around............and I'm running out of blood. :(

My neighbor lets his tomatoes run on the ground like a vine and his are great tasting...Maybe the microbial community help the tomatoes....
