This has to be the prettiest song she did! It takes me way back. I was about 5 or 6 when this song came out. I remember it very well. I spent a lot of time with my grandmother in those days. It reminds me of her & the town I'd spend most of my life in. A lot of the places I remembered are gone including my grandmother whom passed away in 1983. But I sure cherish the places that are still there. And this song will always remind me of that. Thank you so much for the great memory.

This song is on the EXCELLENT compilation CD "Gonna Take a Miracle: The Best of Deniece Williams." (See eBay.) Mine is hiding around here. I might have to buy another CD, in case I can't get the answer to who produced this song. The CD mentioned above also has other songs that U.S. R&B stations didn't want to play as much as "Silly." The CD has "Waiting," "When Love Comes Calling," "I'm So Proud," "Black Butterfly," "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late" (duet w/Johnny Mathis) and, yes ... "Silly."
