This is how his return should've happened-

Cena is still WWE Champion at Wrestlemania 28. At Wrestlemania Rock and Cena face each other for the title Cena wins, then Rock gives him a handshake, which leads him to giving Cena a Rock Bottom. Then as Rock leaves, Cult of Personality plays. It plays for a minute, then Punk comes out. He goes to the ring with Cena on the mat still down from the Rock Bottom. Punk stands above Cena and raises his title that he won at MITB. That would've been epic.
