Hi - thanks for the comments and messages. I used a aluminum strap and the gopro tripod mount to the wing tip.
I have used the suction cup on other airplane but you have to find a flat surface with no flex in it. I had it up to 130kts at it held and it could hold my weight as well!
Incredible, a wing is a tough environment! I have my Hero2 ( HumbleOutdoors w/free 16GB SD card) mounted on the hull of my boat. Did you use standard GoPro mounts?
