Dropped iPod touch 4g cracked

lol @ the Apple dick riders in the comments. The new 4th gen models are much more fragile than previous models. I went from a 2nd gen iPod to a 4th gen and I noticed the different glass material the second i put the 4th gen in my hand. I've dropped my 2nd gen multiple times and it has come out with NO scratches on the screen. I drop the 4th gen from my lap and it is COMPLETELY shattered. I had my 4th gen for 2 years and no damage. 4th gen for 2 weeks and a shattered screen.

Ok, SOOO replace the screen, not rocket science. Just know that the digitizer(clear glass part that picks up the swiping motions) & the led retina display(LCD/display) come fused together in the current gen so it's a bit more expensive then before but much much cheaper then someone else fixing it like apple, just fixed mine looks amazing. they need to be replaced together though so NEVER buy digitizer or led retina display separately it will not do the job.

@invis45 I dropped my white ipod touch 4g 4 days after I got it and the white bezzel has one crack along the top right edge and a small part that is shattered. The corner of the screen has a very small crack.

Haha my ipod touch 4g tougher then yours and i had no case on it at that time my ipod touch rolled down the street before and of course fell face flat on the glass and no cracks still looks gorgeous, it do got scratches on the metal from the drops oh well but no dents or nothing

The Belkin grip vue is great case. It protects your iPod from drops.I dropped mine a few times. When you drop it the case makes it bounce.

that happened to me too. The 4g is so cheap and they glue the lcd to the glass so its so expensive to replace. Instead of spending $10 on the glass replacement you have to fork over $70 bucks just to replace the lcd too. I recommend anyone who has a 4G to get a hard shell case no matter what. I dropped mine from about a foot away. Thats all it took. I was SHOCKED!!! I just got it a week ago too. 1G you could drop it fine lasts forever. Not 4G, too delicate. I'm SAD

Yeah I dropped mine too like in December. I got my iPod in November for my birthday and input my iPod In my pocket and it fell out and cracked I still didn't have a case back then but a few weeks later me and my dad went to the apple store and swapped it with a new one so the one I'm using right now is technically my second iPod touch 4g.

And yes it is veeeeeeryyyyy fragile.
