Hallo leander0, strangely enough there is no list of Taubers many Kompositions.I only found two Operetten: Old Chelsea with "My heart and I" (I also love it by Josef Locke) and Der singende Traum with the famous song "Du bist die Welt für mich" which he dedicatet to his friend Josef Schmidt. "Alle Tage ist kein Sonntag" is another one. Since I admire the Greatness of his voice an talent I am sorry, that I could not find more. I also love this film. It is part of a longer documentation.
Tauber kissing Lehar on the lips. Now ,that's something! And the comments about bastardising his talent may be apt, but some of us think we benefitted from it. What a pity Joseph Schmidt did not get some of Tauber's space with Lehar. Lehar's lyricists were also Jewish and , like Schmidt , paid the ultimate price of being Jewish in Germany. The film is very informative. Thank you!
Your question reminds me of the talk show host, Steve Allen, who was a bit of a jack of all trades. He said that he had written hundreds of songs. He did in fact play a few of them. He could make a melody out of practically any text of impromptu topic, an amazing ability. But in answer to your question, I am curious myself, although I am content with his singing abilities even though I might be less enthralled with his composing.
Wow! He sang beautifully. What fabulous examples of his art.

My question was in general, what did Tauber compose? Anybody posted that he was a composer, too, of some wellknown songs.

Joseph Locke does a beautiful rendition of this tune too but this is really nice

What a most lovable video of the great tenor!
And I can again get to know one of his compositions. (Anybody who can answer my longterm question about Tauber´s compositions?)

Could you repeat the question?
