@Hodgeon46 certificate mean nothing, for the reason you just said. if the police think you are riding unrestricted they will confiscate and dyno you're bike, regardless of a certificate.

or you have a crash, the insurance company checks the restriction, finds it not restricted and doesn't pay out.

@Weapingangelairsoft erm just got the bike restricted when I bought it... The shop mechanic sends off for the washers & certificate. Can't remember the company they have to get the official certificate off though.

is it restricted because your 17 ? if so how much was your insurance ?as im looking to get a similar bike restricted to 33bhp and just wondered what your insurance is so i will have a rouf idea

@doubleomeara You need to pass your test first then you can get any bike at 17 as long as it is restricted to 33BHP

I had 2 years no claims (moped + 125) the insurance cost me about £60per/month (tpft)

@Hodgeon46 well my new bike is throttle restricted but I havent got it home yet. Its still at the dealer and its a cbr 600f 2006. I just wondered what the throttle movement will be like with the restrictor in.
