I heard a grace teacher talking about types & shadows in the OT and how since tithing was only edible items it spoke of Jesus being the fulfillment of the tithe and He being the bread of life and the meat that God was referring to in Mal. to bring in the storehouse...just as we eat His body in communion- I was like WOW so much revelation...Praise God!!
it is so sad to see how weak, and vulnerble the church has become. thinking they can pay there way into heaven.this generation is (lazy) they will invest so much time in this life. and very little time searching the Holy bible for them selfs. i'm so glad that God reveal his word to me. Equally as bad is when preachers who understand the Gospel of Grace - who know the tithe is only a Mosaic Law food tax to feed the Levite priests - side step questions from their congregation on the issue, and respond with: 'Well we tithe anyways since we find it brings us blessings."
Another scam is SEED FAITH, where you give money to God to get him to give you something back in return.
If either idea were true, the Pastor would get his needs met THAT way -- and stop asking US for money!
This is so simple concerning tithes. I don't understand why Christians just don't get it. They have been so duped by the tithing manipulation that they refuse to see this simple truth. This is so clear!
One of the biggest excuses for tithing is that churches may close down because bills won't be able to get paid. What nonsense. If people gave Biblically how can this happen?
@YhwhKhai The answer is to not make bills that are dependent on an outlaw system to raise funds. Seek God. Be patient. Be moderate. Be honest. A ministry can function on integrity. It's just much harder. But that's what true ministers do.

Funny how Preachers who preach hope to people who have lost hope or don't have any get a bad reputation. Yet no one questions Michael Jordan's finances or tiger woods finances Bill gates finances but all of the sudden the preacher is the crook amazing.. hmm

Also Levites are the ones who brought a tenth of the tithe to the temple. It is commonly taught that the people brought the tithe to the temple.
Also first fruits were food items.

Your teachings are wonderful, 2 Chronicles 31, clearly tells us why he commanded the law, what was considered Tithes who was to pay theTithes.
