Dollhouse is the bomb, hooked me after the second episode. Though i am biased. It's my opportunity to get my regular fix of Buffy-like humour n I'm takin it. As the show which guided me through my teen years, it will always have a special place in my heart. Don't know if Joss is the director, but Echo acts just like Buffybot, only sedated. Eliza's tryin 2 vary it up but the tough chick act is her thing. Might get it with time - thought Gellar was terrible when she started Buffy, but she grew...

i find this show very Plato's cave-ish. The idea that a group of people are chained in a cave and given false images from a puppeteer of what the world is like. Echo, however starts to become self-aware and the plot is her journey from being trapped in the cave, to going out into the real world.

This show looks like it has potential! And Eliza Dushku is a first-rate actress, which certainly can't hurt. I hope it won't be cancelled prematurely the way FIREFLY was...speaking of which, am I the only one who has noticed that, for a man who consistently creates such strong female characters, Joss Whedon's own relationship to FOX bears a disturbing similarity to battered wife syndrome? (They cancelled my show without giving it a chance? I'll give them another show to cancel!)

for those of you who know the original movie this is semi-based off of is called Valley of the Dolls, about several different young ladies traped in lives they don't want but have to live thru til the end. it was not a happy story..the book was worse. this series however is very provocitive and well written from all the interviews and reviews i've seen. Joss Whedon is a man ahead of his time. They should bring back Serenity...miss that show.
