Lucy was once an underdog. She got kicked out of acting school, could not get jobs, people failed to recognize her talent, rejected her, she even had Rheumatoid Arthritis.

But Lucy was resilient, determined and hardworking. She stayed strong, fought and struggled through obstacles and got past them, finding her flair in comedy. Due to her attitude, Lucy rose to the top.

Today she is one of the most loved comediennes still.

Very nice!! What a wonderful tribute to Lucy. The world loves Lucy!! No one has come close to do what she accomplished in TV, plus the medium gave her an awesome gift in return. It was said in TV GUIDE in 1974 that her face has been seen by more people, more often than any face in the world. What an awesome gift!

The Blackgama ad shown at 2:13 was originally supposed to be her dressed similar to as she was as "Queen of the Gypsies" in her favorite Lucy episode with the blackened teeth, etc. as a gag. She jumped at the idea but Gary poo-pooed it.

Can anyone tell me if Lucy wore lace front wigs because it is virtually impossible to tell where the wig starts.....any info would be gr8 !

Lucy did were wigs in some of her movies but I do not remember witch ones. She might have even woren them in most of them but I do not know if they were lace front wigs because I am a little to young to know and I have not seen al of her movies.

Wow Thanks so much i have seen alot of these pics. But alot I havent. Always interested in the posts that show lucille beyond the I love Lucy days. She looks so different in alot of the shots some she appears older looking then in others. with the different makeup and wigs lighting etc. They very even though im sure some were taken around the same timeframes
