My Sony VAIO laptop lasted at most 6 1/2 hours. I can't use the laptop any more because it blew itself up..... I was on FaceBook showing my brother everyone I knew. I closed the laptop and walked to my room. Once I opened it, I saw it was restarting. I thought "oh well, you can go back to facebook after this." Suddenly the hard drive was squeaking. The screen showed: "Operating System not Found". I restarted and went into the recovery setup. It said "Recovery files or parition not found."

I am using my compaq now and its the worst laptop I have ever used. I have sent it back more times than I can think of because of the screen jumping. Its also slow it always stops working and freezes and the battery is crap. It doesnt even last for 5-10 minutes when the power lead is out.

I have this laptop and in my opinion it sucks for gaming, you can run 5 year old games and world of warcraft just fine, but games like burnout or cod 4, which ive got both, suffer horrible lag even on low detail. So if you're looking for a laptop for school, this is just fine. But if you want an high-end gaming system, then you will be heavily dissapointed (what i am now :( ).

I personally do not care for Vista or 7. I got a brand new Toshiba "Blue Label" and it came with 7 and I decided to buy XP for it. Trust me, you can get the vista look on xp if you like that better. Just get "Windowblinds". Anyways, nice computer.

i got a 2007 Compaq C751NR it had windows vista witch fucked it up BADLY (locked me out and erased a bunch of stuff) and fried the original 120GB HDD so i put a 320GB HDD in it and put vista back in it. then vista screwed it up again so i put windows 7 pro in it witch kicks ass! Vista in my opinion is the WORST OS ever made! XP and 7 are the best!!
