It looks like he went down the main straight slightly steering to the right as though the car was veering to the left. I suppose a car wanting to go left would cause the oversteer in T1 that would inevitably launch him into the wall.

that takes a lot of nerve to hit the wall and almost never lift goin in to turn 1 ...i have a new respct for scott sharp

That first tap of the wall coming out of Turn 4 must have toed-out the Right-Rear a tad...

I would have thought that he would have felt that and taken Turn 1 a bit more easily because of that.

You can see him in the front straight moving the steering wheel, probably checking if everything was ok, but obviously it wasn't and just lost it in T1.

In my opinion, Scott Sharp was a great IRL driver and it's a shame he never won the Indy 500.
