Reminded me of my childhood from China, I was probably like 5 or 6.. Looking back now, I thought Leoncio is quite handsome! Isaura is actually very plain looking. But it was a good soap opera, has all the dramas. Except if a master wants a slave back in those times, it's shouldn't be this difficult! LOL

But you are wrong anyways, because The Condesa Tommassia does give freedom to all of her slaves after her husband died. She still has servants, no slaves!

Those very familiar with this great Brazilian soap.El Conde Condesa was apparently a advocate to abolish slave trading in Brazil (if i understood well).If that was the case, how comes he had slaves of his own? (The series doesn't really indicate he kept slaves until after his death, when his wife Tomasia Condesa decided to free all of the slaves at her disposition, and she probably inherited them from El Conde Condesia
