  • Could have been stopped by dispatch. Any signals near there? That could be the reason he stopped.

  • Heck no, there just leaving the station 2 blocks awway..., no signals for a mile or 2, they were the only train for a time.

  • Why is that crossing goeing up and down? in Holland they are staying down if a train comes.

  • well, the train stopped far enough away, so it didnt detect it. so it went up. then it moves, so it went down.

  • You really dont know hardly anything about the P42's do you...104 was never a P40. 1-207 were all ordered under P42 specifications with 4,200 horsepower. It was never a P40 at all. 800-843 are all P40's and some are just now being upgraded ot P42 status. It seems like after a while and you have person after person telling you, you would go do your research or accept that fact that you are wrong.

  • @CSXKid5016 *to

  • I agree with the guy you blocked. "Are you so stupid as to expect others to know that area?

    That is why YOU explain.

Does your mommy know about her little boy's inappropriate language?"

You ARE a dumb little boy.

You need to understand that others don't know and you need to explain it. Truck looks clear of the tracks.

    -Tim

  • @lokalexi1 yeah i know it looks clear. but how do you explain a train sitting in its break 50 yards away wailing on its horn? i was also the one that was there. i can see better than the camera can.

  • little? your a imature 3rd grader that dosnt need to be in others bussness.

  • im blocking you. you can go and screw off. its a old camera, exept that. my city cares about safe people

  • Are you kidding? The pickup truck was well on the opposite side of the tracks on a road or driveway beside the house, never in any threat of being hit by the train. Heck, in the very beginning (at 0:09), the truck is even on the opposite side of the crossing lights on that side of the tracks - you can see those lights between the truck and your camera.

  • are YOU kidding? the damn horn was wailing and they were in emergency why? come on dude. oh and he was right on the tracks...

  • trainz 675 is right on this!

  • i know what he was saying cause i was the guy driving it yeah i wanted shout move thats why i got mad

  • Thanks for explanation.

    Stil is not clear.

How was truck on the track?

  • not the greatest quality- he was departing, then threw it into E-brake, then wailed on the horn.

  • @trainz675 Use English to accurately describe what was happening.

The truck is BEYOND the gate. How could it have been in foul of the track?

Sounds like the train was departing the station and sounded for a crossing or pedestrain crossing. Nothing unusual or remarkable.

  • YOU have the DUMBEST COMMENT on my damn channel, this is in the middle of a goddamn neiborhood, and is in a crosse wisconsin, not CHICAGO. no ped crossing, and NO HORN ZONE. he is on the middle of the mainline. think about what your saying before you talk.

  • ALSO, who the hell pulls the E brakes, and BLOWS the horn, wile the truck is clear in the path of the train, if ther train was going any faster, he would have been hit, be happy he wasnt.

  • 104 is actually a P42DC

  • it now has benn upgraded to a P42DC, it was a P40DC not to long ago tho...

  • 104 has never been nor will be a p40. Are you thinking of 804?

  • it got renumbered

  • @trainz675 104 was never a P40, it was ordered and delivered as and is now a P42. The P40s were ordered as, are now, and will be until retirement from the Amtrak roster numbered between 800 and 843. They've had a power boost to 4200 horsepower but Amtrak still calls them P40s.

The P42s were ordered from the factory as such and were delivered, are currently, and will be numbered between 1 - 207 until they are stricken from the Amtrak Roster.

  • @trainz675 104 was never a P40.

  • Almost hit??? Well he was in the same county anyway!

  • about 45 yards away.

  • I see stupidity all the time like this early year I was headed north on the back of the City of New Orleans on a private car we were passing through a BBQ festable in Louisiana real close to the tracks on both sides and a stupid Adult ran up and placed a quarter on the tracks for his kid we went into emergancy to keep from hitting this fool the police got him though and we were there over an hour waiting because they though he had been hit it was that close of a near miss

  • It's very expensive for a train to have to put on its emergency brakes -- often every wheel on the train gets a flat edge and every flat wheel has to be replaced. An engineer who does this had better have a darn good reason

  • we do..its called lawyers.

  • So koool i wish my day was that exciting.

  • i called the city & told them to plow there :P

  • Good Thing no one was hurt!

  • good video felicitaciones ....5*****....saludos desde canfranc ,,españa....spain.

  • ya it could have been!!!

  • Man, that could have been bad!

  • I could hear that Amtrak train from my house! And I don't even live close to the Amtrak station to hear horns from my house! That is the first time that I heard Amtrak from my house!

  • i had to plug my ears!!! K5LA alright!!!

  • I mean I hear BNSF all the time blow their horns. (even thoiugh tey are not supposed to.) But that is a first. Hearing an Amtrak train! Glad no one was hurt!

  • cool video which train was this that area looks like on the Capitol Limited or maybee the Empire Builder but still definatlly a great video it allways amazes me the stupidity of people at grade crossings there vehicle seems more importent that there life
