another thing, they will try and offer you prep corses which cost about 500$ and take like 3 months. fuck that, like i said, i spent 6 hours studying..i still recomend you study a good week or two, just to be sure. the tests are mostly just common sense, and in 50% of the tests, the answers are right in the questions...

@ageof4957 dude, let me encourage you right now. i am 20 years old, and a fuckin alcoholic and drug user. i dropped out of gr 9 due to a severe case of social anxiety. that being said, i one day woek up and said fuck this im going to get a diploma (mean while, i was, and still am, getting totally hammered on a daily basis) so i signed up for this ged and spent maybe a total of 6 hours studying for the ged, and surprisingly enough, i scored a 510.

A High school diploma is nothing like the GED. With the GED you are there studying and the learning is there with you. For your HS diploma you are in class and then when you get your diploma, what you study you don't remember most of it. At least with the GED you know you have learned. Taking the GED is harder then just getting a HS diploma.

What I hate is that the G.E.D. has lower credit than HSD. Just cause you do the ged doesnt mean your a highschool dropout. for example i left the country after 10th grade. now i live in florida again and have to take it cause im 19 and they woulnd let me do last HS year. In germany I succesfuly completed first year of mechatriction wich is both auto mech and elec etc. but then i decited i wanted back so now im training and hoping i can get into Green Berets.

Everything this video said is correct.. I put off getting my GED because i was afraid i would fail, or afraid it would be to hard. I never went to high school. I was stupid skipped school and got held back enough to where i was 17 when i was in 9th grade.. So i just dropped out, i finally told myself to go do the GED. I took the pre-test and got high scores, passed it and i got a refund for my GED. I took the test yesturday and i passed the GED. I didnt even study, so its not to bad

Well im not stupid, i just didnt like school, i got teased alot and then my dad died, and i missed alot of school so when i was in 9th grade and 2 years older then people i said f this and just dropped out. 4 years passed and i decided to get my GED and i didnt study at all for it, and passed it well above the scores needed to pass. So im not dumb just didnt get my HSD. I think you'll be fine

In most states, You can still earn your Highschool diploma before you are the age of 21. just letting you guys know, and its easyer than a G. E . D. because its based on Credits. ( homework )  YOu need a certain number of Credits to qualify for your diploma, and its so easy. Easyer than the G.E.D. if you don't mind doing, Packets and packets of work. But trust me, its worth it.

Very nice video, thanks for putting it up! I'm going to take my GED test next week, I've been putting it off for a year or two but really need to get to it. I have had the same fear mentioned in the video, it's stupid but it's easy to procrastinate and hide from it. I'm a little anxious still but I'm confident that I can at least get a passing score, math is the thing I'm mainly worried about. I've never been good with numbers, but everything else I'm fine with, especially reading etc.

i got mine years ago so it could have changed, but the GED test was easy as fuck; if you don't have one take a shot at the test- all you need is middle school math skills and reading comprehension (for "history", you just read a passage about the past, and then answer questions about it).

I found out I passed the G.E.D test yesterday. I will get my certificate in the mail in 4-6 weeks.

I only studied for the math and wrote practice essays for 4 days ,then I took the tests. I passed my first time and I haven't been to school in 12 years.( I dropped out in 9th grade.)

To those of you who want your G.E.D, I suggest you just go take the test. You might just pass the first time around with a lil bit of studying.
