  • ahh, that was an amazing game goood job Raptors! forever and always

  • crocodillus is smoking crack! kobe n Jordan never missed shots of this magnitude. Why would the raptors retire his # hahahahah Raptors r truly a disgrace and nobody will ever want to play in tronto... Carter had a clear look on this shot and tossed a BRICK

  • everyone knows chris bosh isnt a number one guy,

and he had bad hair and didnt like canada.

vince carter was the mats sundin of basketball, though.

he was the only reason we were in it a large amount of

the time (although i love charles oakley)

he has his bad reputation for faking injurier at the end of

his time in toronto (which, lets face it, was pretty much

the end of his career) which pisses people off.

supposedly he faked the injuries because they wouldnt sign DR J as the GM.

  • everyone always hates on carter for missing the shot, everyone misses game winners. ive seen kobe, even jordan miss crutrial gamewinners. imagine how much pressure ur feeling if u were in carters shoes, hes still a hall of famer at the end of the day, and if toronto doesent retire his number there idiots because without him they probrably would even have a team in toronto anymore.

  • i was there when i was 5 years old, im so sad i don't remember it

  • everyone here is bitchin about carter missing the shot though he had a good look. i mean you don't know how it feels like holding that ball, with 2 seconds on the clock, everything on the line. the only thing you can think about is shoot the ball in whatever way possible. sure you can talk shit all you want but i don't think you'll be saying anything if you're on VC's shoes. oh and about VC's graduation, basketball is not everything for an NBA player you know

  • come back to the sixers pat croce. they need life in the management.

  • No one does or has given a shit about the raptors fool. This shot put the raptors on the map as a team who will never win. Vince carter sucks.... Vince does have the greatest dunk of all tome though...

  • amazing series nevertheless. It brought Raptors on the map at least!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow epic footage, this shot wraps up vince carters NBA LEGACY. HAHAHAH WHAT A BUM!!!!! CLEAR SHOT THAT WOULDVE CHANGED A FRANCHISE. Kobe would never miss this. No excuse for missing the open look. VINCE EXPOSED HIMSELF.............

  • im suprised he even passed the ball 16 times lol. great player though

  • Shot brings back good and bad memories. I am a Raptor fan, but he will always be my favourite Raptor, i didn't like the way things ended, but i don't blame him for most of it, management as to be to blame too. What if Vince makes the shot ? Could have changed his legacy as well as the fortunanes of the Raptors... It's all theory now.

  • If it weren't for Carter, Raptors wouldn't even been known, after his leave Raptors just became shit. If Carter made that shot you "Raptor" fans wouldn't even have pushed him to where he is now DEPRESSION.

  • Alright!!! 76ers!!!

  • Yeah, raptor fans are pussies for watching Carter pussying out of the playoffs MANY times.

  • man he rushed the shot smh i say it to this day

  • @chriswilly26 Well by the time Tyrone Hill had jumped clear of him he didn't have time to reposition himself to go straight up for a clean shot. He barely got it off in time and had to make sure he did, regardless of how ugly it may look or whether it was rushed.

  • @playoffexpert1 i see what your saying but i cant get a good look because it could have been an up and down so i guess ur rite

  • The greatest playoff 7 games, I have ever seen!

  • But! But! But! Vince is one of the greatest player in NBA still now!

  • even though he missed the shot, raptors should retire 15 if carter gets into hall of fame

  • hahahahaha toronto would rather retire rasho nesterivich's number over vince.

  • this breaks my heart everytime i see this.. as a raptor fan and a toronto sports fan... this loss is one that always stings when i see it..

  • God, 8-27 !!...

Vince being my favorite all time player, this right here really is greatly upsetting....to think of how uniquely talented he was, nobody's ever had his talent and skill, but adversity and his weird psychology made him a role player quickly in his career.

In a perfect world, a fair one, everybody would be chanting MVP for him today, not Kobe.

  • And i will never EVER forget this game. I remember they was making them shots from that spot the whole night and then that one miss cost them everything. I was on the floor rolling like Patti Labelle. That was an emotional series for both Philly & Toronto. Glad to be from Philly though. HAHAHA! :D This series was classic!

  • Raptors went downhill from this shot.

  • Vince Carter would have had a different career if he hit this shot.

  • I don't know if Vince wants to come back to play for the Raptors when his contract expires. Maybe Tmac is coming back too.

  • he shoulda hit that

  • Raps would've won the ship if he hit that shot

  • Imagine if that shot went in!! Raptors would be a tottaly different team rite now

  • ericcc snowww, lol. mutammbbbooo. bring back memeories. all my friends used to think eric snow was steve urkel.

  • this one shot would of changed our whole franchise.

  • Since that miss, things went down for Vince Carter

  • The best raptor team in history. I remember this game like it was on yesterday back in gr.5. going to school the next day so upset at the loss yet you couldn't hate on iverson he held it down for that team

  • They act like they won the championship. They just won the conference semi-finals HAHAHA.

  • stephen colbert @ :29

  • Some ppl say that Vince didn't want it bad enough, is that true?

  • ahh this shit kills me everytime i watch it

  • i forgot how packed that place would get..

  • Everyone blames Carter for missing, getting his degree, all that shit.

DID ANYONE EVER THINK TO BLAME CHARLES OAKLEY?!

HE MISSED A WIDE OPEN LAYUP!!!

  • fucking idiot had no reason to fade, we wouldve won that year

  • @WeaselVideos You're a fucking idiot. Do you not see that was a natural body reaction to hold on to the ball and avoid a steal from Hill? He had to do that to even get the shot off and you see it was just a bit long with the fade, if he didn't he would've hit the other side of the rim MAYBE, possible an airball, and this is coming from a Sixer fan who knows how little that missed by, so calm down. You guys would've gotten crushed by the Bucks and sure as hell by the lakers, calm down.

  • @playoffexpert1 I'm sorry mr.playoff expert and I'm sorry no one is as smart as you. Clearly everyone here are idiots. If you noticed the clock there were 2 seconds left when he received the ball. He had more then enough time to take one more dribble and take a cleaner look closer to the basket. I've seen players get cleaner looks in 2.0s I meant we would've won the ECF, the Bucs took you guys to game 7 with a hurting Iverson.

  • @WeaselVideos Who I said I was smarter than everyone? I just know what I'm talking about. That fake was to get open, if he doesn't fake there fade or not I gurantee you it's a contested shot if he takes another dribble. Don't be so sure you would've won the ECF, Bucks were very powerful that year and would've had home court. And besides, like many others have already pointed out no one even knows who the Raptors are if not for Vince Carter.

  • @playoffexpert1 Imagine we had the momentum going into the ECF vs the Bucs, it would've been a great series. And yes, we know Carter put us on the map, we've known that for a while now. I didn't see why he needed a pump fake. Watch the game winning shot he hit against us a couple years back, a contested 3, with 2.0s left. All he needed was a hesitation dribble and a pull up jumper to win the game. Look how far he faded back, it looked like someone put a hand in his face to alter the shot.

  • @WeaselVideos I actually watched that a few minutes after this. That shot was contested and to his credit, he hit it. I still believe in my notion that at that point it was a necessary move in order to get open. And with two teams that hadn't won anything, despite what would've been a game winning shot, think about it. You semi escaped the Knicks in the first round, would've won on a tremendously lucky shot here, there's no momentum either way.

  • @playoffexpert1 If you hit a big shot like this, of course there's a bit of momentum on your side. Philly without AI is nothing special. He was the only reason we didn't make it to the ECF. He had some crazy nights in this series. Knicks series wasn't the best performance I've seen, but we managed to squeeze by them. Oakley missed a wide open layup in game 7 I think and a couple turnovers killed us.

  • @WeaselVideos Exactly, that WIDE OPEN layup, and seriously I've never seen a more wide open shot missed, is the difference to me. Now just Imagine if that had happened in the final minute of the fourth, then hopefully Carter wouldn've been so scrutinized

  • @playoffexpert1 I agree, but Carter was scrutinzied for many things, I don't hate him for this, I dislike him for many other things, the injuries he faked, the quitness, never giving a 100%, dunking's over rated and shit like that. I guess this is just another thing for raps fans to blame Carter.

  • just an inch long .. damn

  • man im sure glad im not vince carter

he lost so much on this loss

  • @ barry21B .....Nicely put sir!

  • Its a shame to see him miss he is one of my favorite players! But just imagine if he would of made it... It probably would of been one of the best buzzer beaters in history!

  • why did he fade on the shot?!

  • You know how close that shot was ..... missed by an inch. Making a game winning shot at the buzzer in a Game 7 on the road is almost impossible.

  • jesus they're acting like they just won the championship lolll

  • @Superboy316KING haha thats the sixers get excited ova nothin i still LUV them lol

  • @tofan32 First ECF appearance in years, that's something to get excited about.

  • @Superboy316KING Yes idiot well when you barely win on a shot that was THAT CLOSE you're bound to celebrate, I gurantee you if that was Game 7 of the Finals that place would've been overly deafening and the players would be jumping around the entire court. Also keep in mind at the time they hadn't made it to the conference finals in years

  • fuck

  • Toronto had a very very strong team that year, if it wasn't for Iverson putting the 76ers on their back, the Raptors would have made it to the finals. God Bless Vince Carter and all he has done for Toronto, F**k the haters. If only he played up to his potential, he was a much better player than Kobe at the start.....

  • raptors loss coz oakley missed layups, and carter antend his graduation..

  • The one time one of my teams got a break, thank god. Raptor fans, i feel your pain, ive seen that same situation too many times, hope we both come up soon, the Celtics are just a bunch of grandfathers they dont deserve that division

  • @playoffexpert1 i agree.....i remember this game ....

when vince carter shot the ball i was like : BIG TIME !

when he missed i was like : WHAT???? FUCK !!!!!

Hahaaa gotta love vince carter !

  • 2001 nba finals should be raptors and lakers....

  • heartbroken :(

  • People need to give Carter a break, especially those pussy Raptor fans.... if it weren't for Carter, no one would give a shit about the Raptors... I don't think even Chris Bosh made an impact any where close to what Carter did for the Raptors... Carter was the reason people started to care about the Raptors in the first place

  • @sattaravy hell vince is the reason toronto still even has a team

  • @sattaravy That's implying anyone gives a shit about the Raptors now. Toronto is a hockey town, always has, always will be. No basketball player will ever change that.

  • A.I.

  • If only VC makes that final basket...sigh :-(

This was the peak of the Raps' success to date. It's been a gradual downward spiral ever since...

  • Dammit. So close... Wish we still had Carter but not the current Carter who is even more unpassionate than before.

If Carter would've tried hard and had passion, he would've led the Raptors to the Finals. Too bad he just loves his life, nothing wrong with that but if one wants to become succesful in NBA, they need to try hard and not go to a graduation instead of practicing.

  • the blowing of the horn made the difference to VC's shot....

  • @zohner21 I've always thrown that in, but I doubt it, really I do. I'm a Sixers fan but I guess you can believe considering the shot was so so close

  • Dang man that shouldve been in

  • man they have both game 6 and 7 of the bucks sixers series how come no one uploads games from this series. Its one of the best all decade

  • Aww man I remember this! The city was on fire after this! I was talking so much trash in class the next day lol!

  • :'(

  • i think he VC got distracted when the horn blowed before he takes the shot.... MANG!!!.. VC STILL D BEST

  • I remember this game raptors got robbed I can prove it if we watch the whole thing

  • @psp785 Where? Explain if you're gonna make that statement

  • im not a sixers fan, but i enjoyed the 2001 playoffs the most of any year

  • 16 assists for Iverson wow, this was before we were talking about practice

  • i miss crowds like this

  • This game and this series were one of the best in playoff history. This game and series were just fucking crazyyy. Vince Carter and Allen iverson went off in this series. If carter hit this last shot we would have went on to the east finals and probably beat milwakee and went on the nba finals but then we would have to face kobe, shaq and the lakers. Vince Carter is the fucking man.

  • I'm a torotno raptors fan and always will be. Vince Carter made the fucking raptors and put toronto on the map in the nba. He still fucked us over but in his early years he was amazing, Mcgrady really fucked us over when left. If he stayed with Carter in toronto, mother fucking championships baby!!!! Chris Bosh is the mvp though!!!!

  • I'm a Lakers fan, but this changed the Raptors franchise for good

  • you could go back and forth all day, but McGrady messed it up by leaving the Raptors, shoulda stayed with Vince and changed the course of NBA history.

  • Thank you for putting Raps on the map oh yeah and thanks for fucking the franchise over.Atleast Bosh is oging to play out this last year..

  • your franchise would be over if vince carter was never there fool. bosh has done shit for your franchise, has he even gotten outta the first round?

  • If Vince was never on the Raptors we would have had an all star McGrady.

  • yeah cuz he turned out to be a much bigger success than vc >.>......vc was the face of basketball at that time and mcgrady was never that kind of a star to be able to keep basketball in toronto. you ppl just forget how big vc was in the early 2000's

  • VC has no scoring championships, has only been All NBA twice to T-Mac's 7.If Mcgrady was never that star how did he average 26+ ppg the first season he left T.O LOL.And VC left TO long before he was actually traded. He was a shitty franchise player who made his money from an amazing dunk contest performance.Vince Carter will only ever be known for his dunking,T-Mac has often been recgonized as one of the top 100 players to ever play the game.We can go back and forth I know where your coming from

  • oh yeah and how long did it take for tmac to ditch orlando?? one bad season. vince carter endured terrible management and coaching, he put up with it for as long as anyone could. he went through what? 4-5 coaches in like 6 seasons? the team never established an offense for him, it was just give vc the ball and watch.

  • but Vince Carter didn't do any better than Mcgrady would have.

  • was able to at least get outta the first round without any help and a gold medal.......VC was the face of the league like how lebron and kobe is now, Tmac was never that kind of star. the raps were on the verge of leaving canada after the grizzles did but cuz of VC the owners were confident in keepin the team. and vc is still playin while tmac is just a contract

  • yesss, finally someone who knows. vince felt like he was a circus show, he wanted to be on a TEAM not be the team. and how can you blame him for hatin his coaching situation? and the gm situation. vc liked butch carter but he got fired and i knew right then it was a bad move by the raps

  • Atleast bosh is playin his last year not pretending to be the hero and then wasting 2 years on the bench getting paid

  • bosh is just one all star, nowadays all the championship team get two three all stars just to become a good playoff team. Celtics and Lakers are a primary example along with orlando. You telling me it was just dwight and kobe all the way u fucking idiot!!!!

  • what the hell you talking about? you fucking idiot, we were talking bout vc carrying the franchise and you come in with this nonsense that doesn't tie into what we're talkin about. make some sense before you talk fool

  • oh right he fucked up your franchise, not like he was the only one that actually did anything for toronto

  • the shot was too strong... if you look at carters top 10 game winner a lot of them are 30 feet game winners...i think hes more comfortable behind the arc... too bad :(

  • pat croce. he's the man. seems the sixers went downhill when he left. come back pat croce. come back!

  • the result may different if carter chose to score 2 points

  • damn i miss the days when the sixers used to sell out the wachovia center

  • i jus keeping thinking if we had carter and bosh on the same team, we would be stacked right now

  • Orlando get Crunch-time-choke over Crunch-time-clutch? Advantage Raptors. Can't wait to see VC choke playing Raptors.

  • raptors lost AGAIN tonight against VC, c ya

  • I remember i was in my backyard playin ball instead of watchin the game cuz I was 2 stressed out to watch it lol, plus the raptors were loosin by 8 all game long and then my dad called me when curry made it a 1point game with a minute left

  • and thats y vince will never be even 1 of the top 50 greatest players evr

  • fuck you he is dumbass

  • ur a fag man...straight up. go fuk ur self u fukin piece of shit

  • this is when the playoffs were exciting..every series was exciting the 2000-2004 playoffs were more exciting than now in my opinion i mean don't get me wrong there are still good times from 2005 till now but i use to come inside from playin ball and watch these playoffs

  • The good ole days wen dem sixers cud actually win a playoff series hopefully 09-10 will be our year

  • Allen Iverson and Vince Carter were both great in that series. I really wanted the Sixers to win though. I was so pissed when they went on to lose to LA in the finals.

  • The decline of Carter's career has to be the saddest story in all of basketball. Seriously, he had a wide fucking open shot.

  • lets see u make that shot

  • 16 assists wow

  • wow..look at vince's face after he missed it ..haha..i remember this game,,,i think i was just 9 or 10 during that time

  • After the game Vince was criticized for going to his graduation the same day as game 7. If he would have made that shot Raptors fans, the media and nba fans in general would have praised him for getting his degree and winning a game 7 for his team on the same day.

  • @KingThomas150 no shit?

  • @KingThomas150 yes exactly . everybody in toronto rips on their players at one time or another. they booed sundin they boo kaberle. boo wells and so on. shittty market to play in and its toiugh cuz the city is strved for a winning team

  • andrea wuld have made that XD

  • derrick martin could have made that

  • what yr was this

  • 2001

  • IF... Charles Oakley didnt miss that FUCKING OPEN LAYUP, we could have won.

  • when vince had him in the air, he could of just drew the foul, and we would of won the game. xD

  • agreed. but the defender landed on the floor so fast, that he couldnt

  • looool i remember thsi that game was hectic i wonder why vince had a smil on after

  • New Jersey is quiet as a Korean restaurant. The fan base there is terrible because its a mile away from the biggest sports city in sports..Philly

  • the funny thing is that if carter made this shot, hed still be on the raptors

  • fuck vince when bosh can take the raptors to the 2nd round...

  • Shut Upp!!!

  • VC needs to start tanking in Jersey and get away from the shit fanbase they got there. The Meadowlands sounds like a fucking library. TANK AND COME HOME TO TORONTO BABY! WE FORGIVE YOU!

  • all i have to say is NEW JERSEY IS A DUMP.....

U NIGGAZ NEED TO GO WATCH NEW JERSEY DRIVE....

  • vc was a 1 man team he had alot of pressure on him.and dumbass people criticize him for graduating college that day.hes smart he knows that life doesnt revolve around basketabll only.unlike lebron or kobe.but I stiil wonder what would of happen if he would of been there since the biggining of the game.

  • yeah agree vince put the raptors on the map you should be grateful for wat hes done hes the best player in the franchise history all duo respect to bosh he is heaps better he carried the raptors in the playoffs and bosh hasnt even taken raptors past first round yet there facts

  • He faded away for no reason. He had already shook his man with the pump fake.

  • damn that was intense he could have drawn the foul & won it there & then fuckin epic

  • raptor fans are stupid. from canada stupid.they should not hate him. my team the NETS got a steal.

  • they cheated in this game I cant find a clip of when it happened but it's there they never counted one of the raptors shots in the game I swear if you watch the entire game you'll see it 2.

  • dam...vince could've held the ball a little longer before shooting and he couldve got it in

  • what was bill walton talking about, vince had a decent look, not a great look.

  • worst moment in raptors history, but also the farthest we've ever gotten

  • holy shit i remember watching this that night. me my brother and his friend. deadly. so saddd!! fuck vince

  • fuck vince?? really?? raptors should be thanking vince, instead of bein so damn ungrateful

  • Exactly! He couldn't of done anymore. It jus didn't go in. Simple as that!

  • go fuck urself u torontonian backstabbing queer...fuck u n fuck all u VC haters...VC is the man n was one shot away of taking ur asses to the conf. finals n thank God that shot didnt go in..cuz throughout all these yrs the truth has been exposed about u pussies..u dont appreciate nothin whatsoever when VCs mentioned..so tell me who single handedly took toronto to its first ever 3 playoff appearances? who put ur city on the map n financially did so much for its people?? exactly..FUCK U. VC RULES

  • yo man i'm from Toronto, and i fully agree with you. we definitely need him back.

  • agreed

  • Philly fans were loud and crazy back in the A.I era.

  • insidehoops = #1

  • i cried when he missed... i was only 7 when it happened lol

  • i was like "YESSS".

  • i was there!!!

  • Me too. I can see myself in this video even, ha.

  • vince is best player in this seris,I think this is hurt about him ...

  • at exactly 21 seconds, vince carters life and the future of the raptors was changed forever. o man... i was heartbroken when that happend. still hurts me to this day

  • I would blame Glen Grunwald for firing Lenny the next season when they had like half of the team injured. It all went down hill from there. Also the fact Vince cried for Dr.J didn't help.

  • u a bitch then how the hell can this shit hurt u the sixers were the better team

  • im guesssing by alen aiverson you mean allen iverson

  • god shot alen aiverson
