Since President Obama came into office the white gay and lesbian community has taken this opportunity to target the African-American community for what they deem as "homophobia" The word itself gets lost in translation because you have to express FEAR! I fear no one but GOD first. But without bringing the Bible into the discussion let me lay out to the white gay and lesbian community the problem that African-Americans and Africans on the continent are having with this policy. Whites have way of
@Prodma000 "imposing" themselves, religion, ideology and sex on indigenous cultures around the world. Homosexuality,as it is expressed today, has never existed nor has it been apart of African culture. @Prodma000 left with the legacy of this tragedy. Thru time we were able to adapt in our own way to heal our wounds emotionally as well as others. If we had gays and lesbians in our community or family it was well hidden, for in those time you couldn't BE BLACK AND GAY BECAUSE , AS MY FATHER STATED, THAT GAVE THEM (KKK) MORE REASON TO KILL YOU! Martin and Coretta King, Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, Nat Turner, Harriett Tubman, Frederick Douglass,Cheikh Ante Diop,
@Prodma000 Dr. Ben Yosef, Dr. Ivan Van Sertima, Dr. Ashra Kwesi and Dr. Henry Clark ,just to name a few, weren't for white gays and lesbians. Their fight was and always has been to fight AGAINST WHITE SUPREMACY and sadly this just marks the latest chapter in our struggle. If you haven't noticed I am making a clear distinction between black gays and lesbians and white gays and lesbians for the following reasons. Blacks have always fought for ALL people's or human rights even though we OURSELVES
@Prodma000 have YET to fully benefit from them. Homosexuality was always referred to in the American Psychological Journals as a "mental disorder" until it was mysteriously changed in 1973/1974. This is was included in the Global 2000 report to be used as a form of population control for black here and in Africa. They also focused on trying to induce this behavior to children in schools and to adopted children. By doing this at a young age you are able to warp the child perception that this
@Prodma000 behavior is acceptable and normal. The population will be conditioned to not only accept the behavior but in doing so it will, over time ,"cull" the African population from procreating or having heterosexual relationships. Thus once again allowing blacks to "destroy themselves" Two negatives cancel each other out right. So in reference to creating the next generation, if we were to adopt these foreign policies from the white gay community what would our races population look like.
@Prodma000 ..in 25 years or so? The fact that in recent years it has occurred to African-Americans and Africans abroad that there is a deliberate attempt to do this on the highest levels of government has raised red flags throughout the communities. The fact that the white gay and lesbian community as well as this government has chosen to focus on white gay and lesbian rights rather than fighting continuing RACISM against African-Americans here , Africans throughout the Diaspora and Africans
@Prodma000 abroad speaks to this country's hypocrisy. Keep in mind we have gay and lesbians in our community who are still subjected to this country's RACIAL POLICIES AND DISCRIMINATION BECAUSE THEY ARE BLACK! White Gays and lesbians can't ever compare themselves to the holocaust our people have suffered from your ancestors and forefathers. Yet I here white gays and lesbians compare the struggle to that of our civil rights movement? Really it's sad that instead of creating your own momentum you
@Prodma000 piggy-back off of the weak. I have studied and observed how white gays and lesbians regard blacks. You have even cherry-picked some straight as well as gay blacks to push your agenda. The fact that in recent years it has occurred to African-Americans and Africans abroad that there is a deliberate attempt to do this on the highest levels of government has raised red flags through
@Prodma000 out the community. Some black gays and lesbians are genuinely unaware of this because traditionally blacks usually don't think of this like this. But since we live in this type of society if you will we are forced to draw attention to this matter. I urge black gays and lesbians to sit with your elders and understand where they are coming from. They are NOT homophobic. They NEVER were. I want the Black gay and lesbian community to learn your people's history first not HIStory
@Prodma000 I personally was abused at 8 years old and over the years questioned my own sexuality. It was when I began exploring my people's history and learned what had taken place did I understand knowledge of self. My youngest sister is lesbian and she too confirms my position on the issue. She stated she had always suspected this from white gay and lesbians but never to this degree! I will tell you though President Obama will not win by a landslide this time.
If African nations want to persecute their gay citizens and deny them their full human rights, even to the point of convicting them of crimes that are not crimes in any civilized land, then, they can do it without our money.
@Bossk333 I agree, it is ridiculous to oppose polygamy. However, it is a separate issue and one that should be debated separately, on it's own merit. I have not so far heard a justified argument against it though.
@Bossk333 Race, religion and ethnicity are sacrosanct in this respect because exhibitors of these characteristics have no significant effect on those around them, just like homosexuality.
People have in the past felt disgusted by people of certain races and especially the notion that they might have a relationship with a member of another race... a disposition that left a lot of people hanging from trees. If you have an irrational disgust of something, it is your job to distance yourself.
@Bossk333 Get away from what? Same sex couples have no profound destructive effect on those around them. Do you believe that any gay Ugandans can simply teleport to a gay-friendly country? Given that their family's often kick them out so they have to go and live in a slum at a young age, they're even less able to migrate than the average Ugandan. Uganda is just 1 example of course.

@sittingbull706 In America there are 12 states where same sex marriage is legal and 29 states where civil unions are legal. There are 35 African countries where simply being gay is a criminal offense. America is beginning to accept homosexuality and even same sex marriage, while some African countries are considering wether gays are subject to the death penalty. Your logic is completely flawed and misguided.
@thecatfish111 I CLEARLY said"The usa hasn't even FULLY accepted homosexuality" There is very few gays in africa b/c it is a ANTI-gay continent that has ALWAYS been hostile to faggets. Africas plan is to keep them from existing and gaining power in the 1st place u dumb bitch. Making it easier for gays WILL result in a RAPID GROWTH EXPLOSION of homos. Like the WEST has RIGHT NOW. & HOW IN THE FUCK r u going to tell some1 else to accept some sick shit that U wont even FULLY accept
@sittingbull706 Why do you think there might not be many OPENLY gay people in the parts of Africa that criminalize and persecute that? Seriously...?
The west has no "rapid growth explosion of homos"... studies show a relatively consistent 5% ish of the population to be LGBT.
Do you oppose countries that still have some human-trafficking/slavery going on in them from advocating against human trafficking/slavery in other nations?
@sittingbull706 Just because some African countries are "anti-gay" doesnt mean there are none or even a few gay people. They are just less visible. The number of homosexuals that exist stay the same regardless of a society's view of homosexuality. And no not every American fully accepts homosexuality but that doesnt matter. America doesn't criminalize the status of being gay which Uganda and many other African countries does. So America is no hypocrite
@sittingbull706 If you think homosexuality is wrong thats ok. It's your right to believe in what ever you want. But you are not allowed to openly discriminate, persecute, punish, or kill someone just because they are gay. If the country of Uganda or other countries decide that it is ok to treat human beings in that manner than they can expect America and the West to pull foreign aid and other economic support. We did it to apartheid SA and we'll do it again
@thecatfish111 OH thats a big threat. Be my guest & cut it off. Its nothing but rice and birth control ANYWAY. People with wealth using their money to influence people and governments Is by definition corruption. Money not influence your core values by definition is Integrity.
The issue I see is not a matter of Gay or Straight, its a matter of the "Money & Power".
If we believe in freedom we should express our opinion and let Uganda make their own decision based on their beliefs.
@riptow420 Western Governments used their wealth to force South Africa out of apartheid. Was that corruption? Should they have just respected apartheid government's racist beliefs? That logic is absurd. When there are clear and direct violations of human rights being perpetrated in the world, free and democratic governments have an obligation to speak out and stop it. It was no different when SA was boycotted in the 80's and it is no different now.
@G41MCombo while homosexuality isn't a choise but something you were born with, just like your eye-colour or your gender, homophobia is. homophobia is based on the ignorance, prejudices and narrowness of people. in my opinion intolerance is the biggest evil of the world, because nearly every conflict is based on it. hating homosexual people is exactly the same as hating people just because they are black, jewish or female. so who's the stupid one now? -.-
@AmorExpeditusEst if you are born with deformity you should look out for cure and homosexuality is a sexual disorientation. The situation is not about eye color but about eyes being squint. I dunno how dildo fucking and but fucking be termed as love making by your kind. Emotions well I love my father does not means I want to butt fuck him or lick his balls. Love is love I agree what I disagree is the method in which it is expressed. That method of expressing homo love is stupid
@G41MCombo To classify homosexuality as a deformity is not to argue why it is bad but simply to affirm that it is, by using a word with a negative connotation attached to it. It contributes nothing except the illusion of contribution.
The same is true of your squinting analogy here. It sheds no light on WHY homosexuality is "bad".
Then you go on to criticise anal sex, which is not synonymous with or unique to homosexuals. Many heteros do and many homos don't.
@G41MCombo To be fair, you did go on to consider love as well, which earns you a smidgen of respect because the vast majority of proponents of your view completely ignore it.
Love is expressed in a huge and varied number of ways, anal sex being one small option that is used both by some homos and some heteros....
In terms of intimate acts alone, kissing, cuddling, touching and oral sex are all other unisex mechanisms available for this. Intimate acts are also only the tip of the iceberg.
why does the west want the whole world to be like them, africans are different america and britain these so called democratic states should understand that and not dictate how african law should be.lets stop miggling in other countries buiss

It is doing a slightly comparable thing with Syria at the moment tbh.
Imprisoning, torturing, murdering and socially ostracising people who are doing nothing to harm anybody else seems very hard to justify.

Great - if demeaning the humanity of its gay citizens is more imporant to the people of Uganda than receiving foreign aid than so be it. Cut them off.
@sittingbull706 So given the option of treating all citizens with respect and equality or letting these babies die you'd choose hatred and death? With sick priorities like that - its you who will spend time in hell. Ugandans have a simple choice and we will see whats more important to them: maintaining crimes against humanity of gay people or better welfare for all of its citizens. The world is watching.
@TheTruthHurts9999 Africa has NO USE for faggots. HOW IN THE FUCK can we solve our problems by having our men act like women and our women act like men ? It is a mental illness/disorder that needs serious psychological treatment, It is gender confusion, and it is EUROPEAN !!! What part of WE DON'T WANT IT do u not comprehend ? AFRICA WILL NEVER ACCEPT THIS SICK ASS SHIT !!! If this aid gets cut then every faggets throat will get cut. We will NEVER bend break or compromise
@sittingbull706 Deviation from stereotypical gender norms is not synonymous with homosexuality. You asked a question, rather than making a point (in your 2nd sentence). The implication of which is that stopping the persecution of homos would inhibit your country's ability to solve it's "problems". Please justify this claim.
It's also worth noting that gender is not defined based upon who people have romantic relationships with. I.E. to "act like women" isn't a clearly applicable concept.
@sittingbull706 All major medical organizations do not classify homosexuality as a mental disorder. What criteria do you use to make this classification and with what authority do you advise treatment? The major mental health organizations in America actually point out that there is no sound evidence that voluntary change of sexual orientation is possible (I can provide quotes if you wish).
You seem to finish off by revealing yourself to be a hateful, aggressive thug, which is a shame.
@Jamieishere1 R U GAY ? YES. "To act like a woman isn't a clear applicable concept" ? Acting like women is VERY CLEAR concept when a MAN puts on make-up,lip-gloss,purses,skin-tight outfits, etc. YES changes in sexual orientation happens EVERY DAY,especially in prison. Men go in str8 & come out doing the same shit they did in the bing. And I personally know PLENTY of women who were STR8 then became bisexuals and/or lesbians. U faggots never wanna admit when your WRONG.
@sittingbull706 A person's sexual orientation is not directly relevant to the merit of points they make in any type of debate.
I said "isn't clearly applicable", not "isn't clear". There is no objectively defined way to act like a women, only subjective, culture-specific ways. None of which define gender as it's arguably a biological characteristic, perhaps best defined by the presence or absence of a Y chromosome.
Happy to admit when I'm wrong, when it's demonstated.
@sittingbull706 The prison thing isn't something I have looked in to that thoroughly. Do you have any peer reviewed studies to substantiate your claims please?
Certainly in a single sex environment, over a prolonged period of time, people may engage in same-sex sexual activity, though that doesn't necessarily equate to a change in sexual orientation. Voluntary actions and involuntary attractions are distinct from each other.
@sittingbull706 The American Psychiatric Association's stance on Reparative or Conversion Therapies:
"There is no published scientific evidence supporting the efficacy of reparative therapy as a treatment to change ones sexual orientation."
"The potential risks of reparative therapy are great, including depression, anxiety and self-destructive behavior, since therapist alignment with societal prejudices against homosexuality may reinforce self-hatred already experienced by the patient."
@sittingbull706 Sorry for so many comments, just to clarify, gender does appear to be objectively definable (or close to it) in terms of sex chromosomes (X or Y).
My point about gender roles/acts not being that clearly applicable was that there is no way to act as if you have a Y chromosome, you either do or do not and it is totally beyond your control.
2:00 If Uganda can do without US aid when the US respects LGBT people, then it can do without US aid any time and may have accepted aid falsely. The US should not be aiding countries who claim not to need help.
2:35 Don't ask, don't tell? What a bizarre interpretation of human rights, from a human rights lawyer! "Don't ask" is not possible. Basic questions people ask all the time become forbidden. "Don't tell" is also not possible, for the same reason, unless LGBT people are to lie.
