  • I use distilled water myself... there are a few things I don't agree w/ in this video, but overall I thought it could benefit everyone.

  • Distilled water is the cleanest water and is spore-free.

Spring water can contain contamination spores.

Tap water can contain chemicals such as Ammonia, Chlorine, Fluoride, etc.

I believe Distilled Water is best, unless you can somehow get contamination free rain water. Distilled water has specific processes required to be called distilled. Spring water varies widely and some sources can be loaded with trichoderma or other contamination spores and is a risk that may or may not lead to failure.

  • @guest2424 Purified water and spring water is safe for human consumption and distilled water is said to have risks if you drink it, such as leeching vitamins, minerals, nutrients from your body. Distilled water is great for lab work where being sterile is important or for keeping things clean. Spring and Tap water, when misted on clear plastic, will leave a residue, so if your misting clear plastic that you intend to look through, again, distilled is best. Test it if you don't believe me.

  • mushbox is not reliable but if you are in a jam, its something you can sell to your friend.

  • It's called Desiccant and you can get it anywhere... just google it

  • What Is That "quickDry" shit? seems fishy if i have to buy this item and then keep buying quick dry everytime...

  • @Izzzy0spaced likely "QuickDry" is a desiccant, like Damp Rid or Silica Gel (crystal kitty litter). You don't want to get this stuff on you or your edibles. They may have modified it to be safest to handle for this purpose or optimum absorbing for their kit, but i'm pretty sure that one of those things I listed could be used (Damp Rid turns to a liquid when it absorbs humidity, but it can be heated to remove the moisture, like in an oven and reused indefinitely, or just flushed down the toilet)
