  • @MrKevin619ism I have seen so many comments on Youtube of early 80's song and memories of family and good times. We really had a blast back then. May your sister be dancing like crazy in disco heaven. Cause that's where we are all going. I can't wait.

  • Let me tell yall something, I was at a friend’s house having a cocktail on March 3rd 2011 and all the sudden this song come on the radio. I was like who is that signing? My girl was Aretha. SHE came down them stairs and honey started dancing, I started dancing and all hell broke lose the entire house turned into a instant party, I was like that sound like the Vandross girls in the background. I went on YouTube and I was right.. Gone head Luther and Aretha and jump to it....

  • and Jazmine Sullivan sample this track too, hear her song "don't make me wait", it's hott....btw check me out too, lemme know what cha think!

  • I remember when this came out.. I was walking to the store and buying cigarettes fior my gramma... All The adults were on this!!! It would change the mood when it came on!!Everyone would wkae up and start partying!!!

Luther was baddddd... he actually could have did this himself and it wouldve tsill jammed... LOve you Luther and Aretha!!!!!

  • @kattmaccable i know right!!!! i was walking to elementary school like who is that? i love this daym song, its on my alarm clock cuz I know when I hear Retha its time to JUMP, JUMP, JUMP TO IT LOL!!!!!!

  • Luther V. and Marcus Miller; that production team defined "dance-funk," no doubt.

  • Can you imagine when she auditioned ? As soon as she began to sing they must have stopped her and signed her !

I reckon that they gave her the soundtrack to this song and just told her "show off"

    What a range !!!!

  • I haven't heard this song in at least 30 years. What a time travel to the days when this was really music.I love this soooo much!My baby loves me he told me that!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ne1 want it sent on mp3..?? I got it..

  • What can one say about this record? It is just so great.. always loved it. One of her best!

  • Like I always say, we had the best music growing up!

  • Aretha Franklin & Luther Vandross........the "Queen Of Soul" & the "Boss Of Ballads".......How, in Gods' name, was it possible for this collaboration to fail? Aretha's unmatched soulfulness + Luther's production genius = DYNAMITE! "Jump To It" simply "blows" up every time I give it a listen.

  • @aliquippawill.My sentiments exactly.I remember listening to this on the radio in the summer of 1980.It still sounds as fresh and unforgettable as it did 30 years ago.

  • @vlovesrafa That would be the summer of 1982 actually, not 80.

  • @hardcorehouse.Thank you for the correction.

  • @aliquippawill You are so friggin'right on the money bud!

  • After listening to all the different versions of this song, this has got to be by far the BEST ones I've heard in terms of the recordings. AMAZING TUNE! Rock On Luther and Aretha!
