@TheCentralServices. Islam did not arrive until 620 AD, approx 580 yrs after the Roman destruction of Jerusalem. Also, the Byzantine Empire was under Muslim attack and it's land greatly reduced. In 1453 AD, the capital of Constantinople was completely surrounded by Muslim forces, eventually destroyed and it's people massacred. Thus, they didn't just "give away" Jerusalem to the Moslems...they couldn't defend it.

@TheCentralServices. Islam did not arrive until 620 AD, approx 580 yrs after the Roman destruction of Jerusalem. Also, the Byzantine Empire was under Muslim attack and it's land greatly reduced. In 1453 AD, the capital of Constantinople was completely surrounded by Muslim forces, eventually destroyed and it's people massacred. Thus, they didn't just "give away" Jerusalem to the Moslems...they couldn't defend it.

Our kingdom is not of this world(John 18:36). I read the KJV 1611 & it says that if I fight to keep this life, I will lose my eternal life. James 4 sums it up for the Christian.
