Poor Victoria! During her coronatiuon, the nearly blind Archbishop of Canterbury had the Bible upside down! Then the coronation ring was so tight on her finger that she had to contain herself not to scream and in the end Lord Rolle, who was probably drunk, fell backwards twice the royal stairs while paying hommage, that Queen Victoria had to hold him herself, not to have him fall again a third time! It must have been a dreadful ceremony! Thank heavens coronations are rehearsed today!

@TheAnglopride thats because the crown used to in victorias coronation isnt the exact same crown the queen wears today, the current one is an exact same replica except it is more light weight and the height is a tad bit lowered thats prolly why...and saying it doesnt look anything like it is a bit strong

@orkneysnorknie yes the current imperial state crown has been lowered by an inch and a half i think. but the reason i said it didnt look anything like the current crown is the one shown here seems to have mostly all blue stones/sapphires in it. the current imperial state crown seems to have different stones.

@TheAnglopride The Imperial State Crown looks different today because of a birthday present given to King Edward VII by South Africa in the first decade of the 20th century: The Cullinan Diamond. The jeweller responsible for cutting the giant diamond fainted at the huge responsibility he was given. Thank heavens the first cut was perfect. The Sceptre with Cross has one half of the diamond and the other half is at the front of the Imperial State Crown.

Imagining Victoria receiving the English Crown at 18 years old, is beyond belief. She grew up in a royal family, where there was scandal after scandal, and she had to live with their bad reputations. I congradualte this young lady with all the success, influence, and wisdom that she carried on, to sucessfully bring Britian into a brighter future!! RIP Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth I.

I love this movie, but Victoria wasn't like how she is portrayed in this movie. She was acually quite a spoilt brat and had fits of rage. She was also like a little girl in love when it came to Albert. She was so wonderful. Albert wasn't as romantic as he is in the movie either. In fact, he ended up calling Victoria, 'my child'. There was no doubt he loved her though, but Victoria ADORED him.
