  • I just stumbled over XNA Roundup and have watch #1 to #13 in one sitting. I like both formats where if the game warrants it, you take some time and go into a bit more depth as well as those games that whilst are still fun, are kinda almost self explanatory upon watching them for a minute or so.

I will definitely keep on watching. Keep up the excellent work!

  • Hey good work again, you should check out the game Easy Golf, it's a $5 arcadey golf game with a great wee course editor and a small but good community going! Cheers again for good work mate!

  • i liked the shortish reviews. most cg are short too. if someone makes a complex game, have a complex review.

  • Like the format, keep up the good work. Oh, and Supercow was a smash hit with my little kids. They love it.

  • I do like that you reviewed alot of games this time, but feel they needed alitlte more time spent on them. I really enjoyed little racers, the controls while twitchy is what made the game fun for me, i like unforgiving gameplay though lol. Please!! Keep up the amazing work, I'm looking very forward to your next one. All my best - Ste

  • I like the concise format. It seemed like you were more decisive in your game criticisms when crunched for time.

  • Awesome as always, I think I prefer longer reviews though, felt like it was jumping about a bit

  • keep up guys , really helpfull reviews .

  • i think you should make it even longer because they are great to watch

  • I agree with BlackSpiderWolf.

  • Videos are getting way better (Yeah I know I say that on EVERY video you make but its true haha).

So do you work for somebody or do you just make these videos on your own time? Your videos seem to be really well put together is why I ask :).

  • Good job, but I think you should make each review just a TAD, just a tad, longer.

    That's my opinion anyways.

    5/5

  • Thanks man, yeah that seems to be the concensus. I appreciate you taking the time to give feedback.

  • NextWar reminds me of Vector TD.

  • Another good review! I like all of the different formats for the show that you have tried so far. Keeps it interesting.

Are there any other older xna titles like Dishwasher that are worth mentioning due to their high level of polish?

  • Hey, thanks! I appreciate that, yeah the funny thing is the varied format thing is usually a result of me scrambling to make a show when there arent really any great releases that week, i guess necessity is truly the motherof invention. lol

I'll check that out and prob. do a show about the forgotten titles of the community games tab

  • little racers is hard... i think i played 5 or 6 races, came last most, and placed 2nd once. lol

  • off road would be so sick, remember that horn noise, for 1 lap to go, soo epic! lol

  • I like longer videos with more games,

I did like that you reviewed even the bad games to tell people what to avoid and not avoid,

but waiting a long time for a short video is a tad dissapointing as i do enjoy the show.

  • ive kind of been torn about negative reviews, but you're right, if something sucks super hard i guess it is my jurisdiction to let the people know.

    Thanks for the feedback!

  • i disagree with the negative reviews. i found your show showcased how many good games that were on xblcg (and from xna), whereas everyone else just ripped it apart. what to avoid doesn't help much, because it's 95% of the games. you cannot cover it all. i find the gamers are already avoiding them all, so it's best to show them what not to avoid. just my two cents!

  • The tower defence game might have a problem with the Final Fantasy theme version of the same.

For me, the best tower defence game was Curator Defence on PC, where you had to keep modern art out of your gallery.

  • that sounds hilarious, is it actually worth playing or is it just gimmicky.

  • It's just tower defence, done well. Seeing what rediculous peice of modern 'art' is going to come next kept me playing for a long while.

It's free, google it if your interested.

  • I like the shorter reviews format, with more games for sure. There are so many new Community Games popping up every week so it is nice to get a brief overview of each of them so I can know if it is worth my time to check them out or not.

  • cool, i agree with your thoughts. im curious as to how people who arent involved in reviewing these games pick and choose which ones to even look at let alone buy, i guess box art prob. plays a big role, and maybe my show could be a factor for some people.

  • Your show has definitely turned me on to a few games that I otherwise would not have checked out. Generally I find the two things that draw me in are the name of the game and the box art. But for the most part unless the name states to me something that I know I am not going to like I go and read the description for it first.

  • I agree with nrXic I quite like the short reviews, but some should get longer more in depth reviews.I guess the length could be decided by the game itself,if its polished with alot of content to explore it should get a longer review. That being said I like how honest you your reviews are,if the game isnt polished or just plain bad, you go though why it's bad and what could be improve.Or though this might not help most people who just play the games but as a developer it helps me improve my games.

  • hey i really appreciate your thoughtfulness and I'm glad my reviews have helped people make better games, thats awesome!

    thanks for the feedback!

  • i like the bitsized reviews, but i would like to see more in depth reviews for any games you like a lot.

  • i totally agree! thanks for the feedback.

  • I liked the quick overviews for these titles, but at the same time I suppose some titles deserve a bit longer description and deserve a bit more hype (like your Miner Dig Deep and Zoomaroom ones).

That said, if you pick simple games that deserve the smaller reviews it's all good. These titles in this episode fit that bill. Not every CG is a must buy, but there are plenty that are worth a look and these quick overviews give those titles a chance to be seen.

  • Hey nick nice change up but really you have every right to make the show last as long as you want.

  • thanks, i guess it is "my god damn show!" lol.

    appreciate the feedback!

  • thanks nrXic for the feedback, we're def. on the same wavelength.
