Ryo Sakazaki, Robert Garcia and Yuri Sakazaki are character from Art of Fighting(1992). Dan Hibiki is a parode of them, with visual references to them and with moves much similar, but much more weak (lol)

Essentially, Ryo, Robert, and Yuri are rips from Street Fighter, yes. They are basically the Ryu / Ken / Sakura of Art of Fighting / King of Fighters, right down to their storylines and backgrounds. But yes, this old news. Almost 2 decades old, even.

As Caiooa said, instead of Capcom suing SNK for what they were worth, they just made Dan, who lifts their movesets more or less and is a hilariously pathetic fighter as a parody of their series. So... Yep, you're right. That is a Ryu/Ken rip off.

I... Think I'm going to have to disagree with you there, my friend. M. Bison's moveset in any game is hardly alike that of Athena in Psycho Soldier (she shoots lasers at a machinegun like pace and that is her only real attack, while M. Bison had no projectiles to speak of).

While they are both called "Psycho Power", there isn't even an arguable amount of similarity in their techniques based on the original Athena games. Any game where Athena had a moveset came quite a bit after SF2 and Bison.

unused / removed characters in the games code: Vice, Hwa, Takuma, a boss, Dark/Orochi(?) Ash, Mai, King, Yuri, Classic Iori, and Billy were all planned and not included. There are 7 more empty spots with no character at all. Thats a total of 17 characters gone from the final version, 10 that had made it to planning and 7 that never even made it to the data. KoF XII was originally planned to be the conclusion of the Ash saga.
