i have a female ball python and she need her shed removed form her eyes this was every helpful but i was just wondering if you should give them like a bath soo say first just to help it
we've had our ball python for about a month and a half. It had a poor first shed, sadly due to my inexperience, and never shed one eye-cap and head skin. I was nervous about performing what was in your vid. since 'Snickers' is a juvenile, but it went well. He just had a good/better shed, except the eye-cap again. I soaked him and q'tiped him and now he looks great again. It's almost like it's soothing to the snake - I've never been able to get close to his head before
yeah man! you saved me! totally got my snakes eyecap off, because of this video. barely had to hold the snake and he wasnt pissed at all. best solution ive tried so far
My humidity levels are between 50 - 60 percent and when they are in shed I give them a little extra every other day. Sometimes it just happens and this guy is prone to (I dont want to say bad sheds) less desirable sheds from time to time. Thanks for the comment. Yes a bad shed is stressful for the snake. Right after I finished the video he eat a nice fat F/T rat ween.

@manuelrod96 just water. I will soak the snake for sometime and wet the q-tip with water.

Bump up the humidity for the next time! That has to be stressful for the snake!

Your snake is so mellow. My ball has the temperment of a burmese.
