It works because it images the bill in high resolution. On top of all that the $1 bills don't have strips at all.

If you were to drop them in a vacuum, or two objects that had the same shape, but different weights, dropped at the same time, they would fall at the same speed. Coins have basically the same shape, so when they fall through the coin slot, they will hit the bottom at the same time.

In most, not all, machines, you can enter diagnostic mode by pressing a sequence of buttons on the front of the machine to activate it. The options available vary from machine to machine but some allow the "dispense product" option, which will dispense a pop. Wake up and smell the microchip.
There has to be a code somewhere for candy machines though, but I cant find it. How I know that there is a code is because at one of the best westerns we stayed at, when I hit D5 for M&Ms it said $55.55. All the other crap was $1.25 like it was supposed to be. I even have a picture of it!

Of course it wont take the 20 if you don't have the dip-switch set for taking $20.00. The common dip switch settings are 3 and 8. Meaning regular acceptance and taking a 1 dollar bill. If you wanted to take the new $5.00 dollar bills you need a -12 chip and the logic board to be flashed. I work in Bill Acceptor repair.

the reason that this is, is because there is only about 20 dollars in quarters in the coin mech and they way they work is that it despences the largest amount to smallest. so this means that if you put in a 5 and the soda cost 50 cents you get 18 quarters back, now if 5 or 6 people did that in a row... machine is empty, that is what i was trying to get at
If u know the machine code u can reset the cost of things in debug mode..I had a freind that set the price to a penny then he set it to 99 dollars and we would watch people freak out...its like lol 98 $s to go
just to let you know the machines can only be set to a mere 5 cents because the coin mechs cannot read anything below that! so if he set it to 1 cent then it would have given him no change and he would have wasted 4 cents. as a matter of fact i have repaired like 30 or 40 coin mechs and i have never seen one that will accept pennies!

The ink on a bill doesn't matter. The machine is a simple, very basic, computer. The bill collector on a machine is, essentially, a scanner. It takes about a half an inch of your bill, and scans it to see if it's one to be accepted or not.

these bill acceptors only accept 1's,
the reason that this is, is because there is only about 20 dollars in quarters in the coin mech and they way they work is that it despences the largest amount to smallest. so this means that if you put in a 5 and the soda cost 50 cents you get 18 quarters back, now if 5 or 6 people did that in a row... machine is empty, that is what i was trying to get at

If u know the machine code u can reset the cost of things in debug mode..I had a freind that set the price to a penny then he set it to 99 dollars and we would watch people freak out...its like lol 98 $s to go

just to let you know the machines can only be set to a mere 5 cents because the coin mechs cannot read anything below that! so if he set it to 1 cent then it would have given him no change and he would have wasted 4 cents. as a matter of fact i have repaired like 30 or 40 coin mechs and i have never seen one that will accept pennies!

No the newer machines. There is a debug mode on the older machines just have'nt found the code yet. Search "hack a new vending machine"

I'm not even sure if I want to watch the rest of the other parts. This video seems under researched. Like you and kool said, "all machines are different." With old bill mechs would it would? I dount personally. What about though different tricks/hacks/'secrects' for newer machines that are out on youtube? can you speak for them too without trying? And just because it's doesn't work on one new one doesn't mean it won't on another.

The ink on a bill doesn't matter. The machine is a simple, very basic, computer. The bill collector on a machine is, essentially, a scanner. It takes about a half an inch of your bill, and scans it to see if it's one to be accepted or not.
And people, this is to everyone, not pdegameplayer, this is NOT hacking. This is phreaking. Look up what phreaking is, and it will be closer to what you all are doing.

well i really really dont think that would work... it uses magnetic ink and the only magnetic ink i can think of is used to print Checks for companys and the ink used to print your own stamps.

Its not a felony, he meant scan it like in a HP scanner and have one side black and white and made out of paper and not cotton with Inkjet ink on it because he is a dumbass, but if he were to print it with cotton paper and magnetic ink then yes he would be on his way to the big house

it actually magnetic ink not, a magnetic strip, look it up if you want, or they use phto cell imprints, or both, but no vendo takes 20's I think hust change machines, I dont understand how the 5 dollar trick works but want to try it, it looks like they put five in press the button then get pop and 5 back, I dont get it, when I try that it gives me the pop but only gives 3.50 back, if anyone can explain in detail please shoot me a message

actually i was having problems with my camera and the audio would not play on it so i had to record the audio with a microphone and it was being stupid so i was already pissed and it was not worth the effort to re-re-record the damn thing!

for those machines yeah but there are ways to glitch newer one thee glass ones u can stop the hatch from opening and it will give u a refund after it detects that the drink has not came out but the flaw in that is it makes it think the slot u used is empty so u cant use it after words

ill tell you right now that i took sevral coin mechs that where broke and i fixed them in to 1 coin mech that works and that is the only reason i know how to cheat this machine all i have to do is go get a coin plug.(dont ask) and drop it in my machine and it accepts it as a coin.

i work for a vending machine company. there is no way you can hack a vending machine no matter how many years old it is inside a vending machine there is a control panel allowing the operators to change absoluty anything the machine does. as from 2004 vending machines stopped putting commands to be able to be used on the front of the machine . YOU WILL NEED TO GET INSIDE TRUST ME YOU WILL NOT FOOL A VENDING MACHINE. i know this because i fill up and repair vending machines evryday ... end of

ya i like vintage machines better less fuss on the electronics and less maintness because back then the machines were made out of real metal not that pot metal crap the the new ones are made out of plus the old ones weighed like easy 1 or 1 1/2 tons so there is no chance of someone tipping one over!
