Niels Harrit's work hasn't stood up very well to professional scrutiny. He had it published in a not-particularly-reputable journal that later published a computer-generated nonsense article, which attests to the standards of their selection process. And there's no clear chain of custody for the samples he used in his research, so no one's really sure where this dust came from.

@unRompecabezas "No clear chain of custody" If you mean the samples were not gathered by law enforcement, you are right. However, there is a section of the paper explaining "provenance".

Someone who harps on this issue after reading the paper seems more like a defense attorney than a man eager to find the truth. Of course the paper could NEVER have been published in a "real" journal. No editor could have kept his job after accepting it. So...keep the info unpublished or publish wherever?
