  • Corporate Government or the Peoples Government?

  • DameDiadoblique: I think where you misinterperted his answer was in the response "militarism won" not "military won". Of course Ralph Nader is educated enough to understand the importance of military however he also understands the constant threat you impose on yourself by improper use of military. Militarism is what he was reffering to. The poor and impractical use of our military.

  • The US has a voter turnout of about 55%. If those who feel that their votes won't make a difference decide to vote for the Independent party, then things will start to change. Even if the party doesn't win, the increasing votes will send a strong message.

  • you are a very intelligent individual

  • This morning, Oct 2, Democracy Now! had a good segment on the debates and the bipartisan commission that organizes them. You can watch/listen the 15 minute segment anytime from their website (starting at about 29:37 minutes): democracynow(dot)org

It also addresses how the debate would have been like regarding the bailout if all candidates had been there.

  • Ralph Nader should be 3rd party to take controll of the debate "NO FREE PASS" FOR EITHER CANDIATE BE A LEADER OR FOLLOWER! WHO DO YOU CARE TO BE IN THE WHITEHOUSE, SOMEONE WHO CAN TAKE CONTROLL A BE A LEADER OR A WIMP THAT WILL JUST FOLLOWS AND ACT LIKE A LEADER?

  • I want the poster that is held up at the very end. A picture of Ralph with REBEL. Does any body know where I can get that image online?

  • i saw that in another video and asked the same question, he told me to contact youtube user ManilaRyceTLM -- youtube (dot) come (slash) ManilaRyceTLM

  • Nader seems a little drunk here, I think he should be a little more angry. More emotion.

  • Yeah, I thought the same thing, but I'm glad he spoke slowly - I didn't have to 're-wind' like I usually do.

  • Nader needs to wake up and stop demonising green energy. There is a very good reason everyone supports Nuclear. Nader is living in the past, when people didn't understand what the real environmental issue would be.

  • I don't know a lot about Nuclear energy. But doesn't it produce depleted uranium? Isn't that a deadly poison for which there is no safe method of disposal?

  • Well the American way to "safely" dispose of depleted uranium is to use it in our weapon systems. We have been doing this for many years in Iraq, Bosnia and Kosovo. Who cares if its half life is 4.46 Billion years? Its not in our back yard! Isn't war great?

Want more info? Search for depleted uranium munitions in Wikipidia.

Vote Nader to stop the insanity.

  • Very well said!

Dumping nuclear waste in other's yards. One bullet at a time!

    Nader Now!

  • These two candidates are not acceptable, not only for their corporate commitments but by their sheer lack of substance. We should strive to promote a third party alternative debate on national TV and this race, and this country would inevitably change.

  • America's greatest citizen, ever.

  • If you're on the ballet in enough states to possibly win the presidency, you should ABSOLUTELY be in the debates, no questions asked. Republicans and Democrats are afraid of Ralph Nader and other third party candidates because they realize if the American people are allowed to hear them speak, they'll lose this election. If the Democrats or Republicans don't win, corporate greed and corruption lose, and the only people that win are us, the American people (and the world). DEMAND Open Debates!

    * We-The-People Must Become The Media!

Nader is on 45 state ballots, and is not givena chance

in the televised debates. No democracy there!

The duopoly is afraid to debate Nader:

    * Next to Nader, the ObamaMcCainAsaurus

may very well resemble a plastic, pull-string-talk toy!

  • Open the Presidential Debates... or we will!

Including Candidates Barack Obama, Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney, Bob Barr, Chuck Baldwin, and John McCain.

Looking to gain at least 10,000 pledges in the near future.

Please spread the word and pledge to donate October 8th!

  • People if you vote 3rd party this is the best way to defeat the NWO. Ralph is the greatest always telling the TRUTH this is why I am voting for him again. I would rather vote for a candidate that is everything I want and stands up for what I believe, even if he looses. I will not have voted for a Candidate that does not represent me and is criminal that will betray me & the people! Death to the oligarchy!!!!

  • None of it matters any more. We're finished anyway.

Visit the Army Mil news, Army Times and DOD websites and learn all about the rumors concerning Martial Law beginning Oct. 1st in the US.

Look up Operation Vibrant and the Defense Media Activity which will change the way the Defense Department gets news, entertainment and information to servicemembers and their families beginning when? 10/01/08 of course.

  • The powerful elites won... as always!...

  • They are not lying!!!...

  • Carrying the torch for truth... OPEN THE DEBATES!

  • Right on.

  • This guy is the best !!!!! I could support someone like him. BTW I always fight against corporations whenever I get the chance.

  • I watched about 30 minutes of the debate...It was like peering into an alternate reality where nothing is real!! Vote Nader/Gonzalez...STOP THE WAR!!

  • I never watched the Debates on the 26th of September.

When I saw it was JUST McCain and Obama...I turned off the TV and planned on my next bulletin to post on MySpace.

"No Democracy In America"...is just the begining!

  • good for you

if the 60% of Americans who are dissatisfied with this undemocratic election process would do the same as you (boycott the duopoly debate) the corporate owned medias may get the message

  • This is what I don't understand about this whole Ralph Nader business. "Who won, the military won..." WTF? So is Ralph Nader against the troops? Hell, I know both parties are bad on the war but don't slam people who volunteered to fight for our country regardless what party ends up in the white house.

Or maybe I just don't understand something about him. Someone please explain that to me know because it just appears to me that Ralph Nader slammed the troops and that's not right.

  • Of course Nader didn't slam the troops. He fights FOR the "Troops" consistently. He demands medical and education benefits for veterans and cutting the wasteful, cost-plus budgets of the pentagon.

Our US Military Machine spends annually, more of our tax $ than the rest of the Planet's nation's military budgets... combined!

That's a fact you can look up in many resources and see.

If half our $ goes to warmaking, what is the focus and outcome of our direction?

    Troops YES Profiteers? NO!

    Nader08

  • Nader said militarism not our military

have you seen "why we fight"?

    watch?v=Rfetdjjb3YY

  • Ohhhh. I see. I re-watched the video and he did in fact say militarism. My bad.

I thought he was dissing the troops. OK, Ralph Nader is OK then.

  • thanks

Nader is a very fair minded person,

if only the corporate owned media would allow his voice to be reached by people, the people would learn a lot and would stand up for their rights.

i am surprised that people are not on the streets of every city protesting this bailout until Bush holds those who put us in this situation responsible (fire them, put em in jail, teach em a lesson that they can not betray the people)

  • Let me tell you who"slammed the troops"or tell you where to look. You will find all the "slammers"living a comfortable life around the nations Capital. The Democrats and Republicans who don't lose any sleep at night as young men,and women are either killed or wounded being ripped in pieces filled with holes their bodies smashed with deadly IED and other crude materials in a foreign land every long day.Hey don't forget the native population suffering along with the troops.Goddamn you cowards in DC

  • Whoa...Slow down. I didn't exactly say that any candidate was good on the war, I said the exact opposite.

I am for peace, not war. Get the troops home from Iraq and keep them here.

I just thought that when he said militarism, he was slamming the troops. I do understand your argument and agree with you.

Problem is, the reality of Ralph Nader being elected President is slim. Blame it on Corporate media.

  • Dame, 60% of Americans are dissatisfied and want a better choice.

the problem is lack of unity, i have said it over and over (falls on deaf ears) that we (the 3rd party supporters, independents, green, progressive, etc ) need ONE candidate to win or we are all going to be miserable for another 4 years. even though recently there was a gathering of all third parties, each of them still have their own candidate, none with enough votes to exceed the two party duopoly.

  • Alright I admit I need a chill pill. I think the debate finally put me over the deep end, and this constant psycho babble from the talking heads of the MSM, via T.V. or Radio for the last year have caused my brain to bleed. Good thing is I haven't had a T.V. since I was 18 so the damage could have been worse. Sorry for the freak out nothing personal, and Ralph is calling his party the Peace party which I really like.

  • Stupid fucking sheeple, I tell them to their face!

  • Who gives a fucking rat's ass about charisma?

Fuckin' a, sheeple, we have got to elect a someone who gives a shit.

  • What are you doing?

    Wake Up!

    Stop the corporate war parties!

Get informed and make a difference!!

  • solar, yes! thank you Mr. Nader!!

  • want to see your views jump already

  • McCain and Obama just take orders from the military industry running the whitehouse, their experience or lack thereof doesn't matter.

  • Now that is cynical.

  • He used to be more energetic/ more dynamic, but a lifetime of long days of fighting a lonely uphill battle would wear even the best of us down.

(You could hardly ask for better.)

  • why is it that when i hear nader or gonzalez speak, i hear clear and honest answers, but i hear mccain or obama speak, i hear obfuscation, BS, and double-talk?

    NADER/GONZALEZ '08

  • Nader is the MAN!

  • Who needs the debates. We the people will decide on election day. Vote Nader/Gonzalez'08.

  • NADER is the man for the job

  • I love it!!!!

I would love to see Ralph Nader debate the two corporate owened and paid candidates. Obama and McCain would pee their pants if he walked on that stage! lmao!

Please God let me live to see the day!

    Vote Nader/Gonzalez 2008!

  • The puppet show, I mean debates are a farce.

    NADER/Gonzalez = WE the PEOPLE

Democrats and Republicans = THEY the CORPORATION$

    * The two headed Democrat and Republican monster is not

to be trusted as they've proven over and over!

    * No more PAY-or-DIE Healthcare $ystem!

    We Want Single-Payer like Canada!

    * "Spoiler" is a politically bigoted word used by the opposing parties to keep the independents out of the race.

    Vote NADER/Gonzalez!

  • Ralph Nader was so busy last night/yesterday.............. He's got more stamina than an olympic boxer. Sweet interview! Solar not Nukes! Horay for RN!

  • ASK NOT WHO WON, ASK WHAT WON.

    Thanks Dutch for this interview

in couple minutes Rlaph gave you a statement that hours of commentary on TV were not able to communicate!!

{Peopele really need to wake up and

    Vote Nader!

  • That's right! Rebel against the corporate corruption in Washington! VOTE NADER for president! "If we settle for nothing now, we'll settle for nothing later!"

  • WE NEED NADER 08

  • hei Dutch

    thanks for posting this

BTW why do you have oven in your name? just wondering

  • Actually the oven was named after someone else. Though I do have a door and a roof in my name..

    Cheers!

    Let Nader Debate Now!

  • thanks

  • oops i posted my response in the wrong place

  • "To know what is right and not to do it is the worst cowardice." - Confucius

As individuals in our society, we have waited to be affected by injustices in order to act. We have looked away many times because the wrong doing wasn't against us. Today, it is affecting the majority. We have to get people informed not by the use of fear but with "truth". There are too many injustices in our civilized society, and it is our duty to correct them for the benefit of all and future generations.

  • Nader 08

  • We need to spread the word about Nader! I have a suggestion at: watch?v=JY1F-nEQjss

We also need to open the debates. Here's a suggestion: watch?v=hEK6jKu4_w4

And, sign a petition to open up the debates at: opendebates(dot)org/yourrole/petition/

  • 3rd parties are so important for pushing issues. Without them, we see terrible things happen like... oh, say... a $700 billion dollar bailout because neither Republicans or Democrats were interested in regulating the financial industry until now, which Ralph has been advocating for years. It just goes to show that you can't use logic and reason with the average voter. They need to be punched in the face before they start to listen.

  • The Banks are about to win, followed closely by domestic bankruptcies.

  • Thank you for this video. A few minutes of sanity from those boring corporate "debates".

Nader hit the nail on the head.

The only thing that won the debates were the military industry and the corporations as the 2 parties supported corport bailouts, military expansion, continued occupation in Iraq, increased war in Afghanistan, exanding the war on terror in Pakistan, overhyping the threat of Ira, expanding NATO to E.Europe to provoke Russia, unconditional anual military aid to Israel etc.

  • You hit the nail on the head!

  • Been waiting for his response to the debates.

Totally agree that it didn't matter who won it was the people who lost.
