  • Sugei! bleurps!

  • Is that AHA's "the sun always shines on TV" whilst they are throwing ninja stars?

  • @Cuthben007 yes, they play it several times threwout the movie

  • I bought this movie on VHS for 1 buck last weekend... WINNING!

BTW, the cover is as epic as the movie itself!!!

  • Every time the swords clash, I think there's a train coming.

  • Soooooo epic.

  • nice music

  • This has got to be the greatest action flick ever made. Godfrey Ho is a genius.

  • :))

  • NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNO!

  • 33:6 dosent get stabbed.

  • 0:04 Nnnnnnnno

  • 0:04

    Greatest movie scene EVAR

  • Comment removed

  • that was intense

  • I like the way how they are using A-Ha's song 'The Sun Always Shine On TV' as the background music in the first half of this scene . lol :)

  • I am now convinced these 80s ninjas movies are designed especially for people on large quantities of drugs.

  • i have to learn how to fire the same bullet 3 times just like these guys.

  • Thats the Yellow Power Ranger isnt it?

  • At 3:03, did yellow ninja throw an explody lemon at black ninja?

  • WHAT IS THE FUCK. I cannot comprehend the stupidity of this.

  • this is worse than the power rangers

  • @zee339

At least the (Mighty Morphin) Power Rangers were cool! xD

  • @QuesoGr7 true that

  • gun pwn ninja

  • Ah the ancient traditional ninja weapon, the snub-nosed revolver.

  • @ 1:19 THEY POWERED UP TO THE NEXT LVL LOL

  • great music

  • GUNS...HOLY NINJAS

  • Why if there was only 1 bullet in the gun the white man shoot 3 times???

  • @punkcrosser magic!

  • @punkcrosser Thats an old ninja trick harking back to ancient Japan mayne

  • ....since when do ninjas wear bright colors when they need stealth...and while were at that what the hell is the point of wearing a mask AFTER the enemy has seen your face....and when the hell does the mask go on? And ninja didn't use katana (most of the time) they used Ninja-to's because they were assassins and needed to get away quickly, their weapons were cheap. A katana costs A LOT....who made this movie again? who funded it?

  • @Mar6979 "And ninja didn't use katana (most of the time) they used Ninja-to's"

there is NO evidence that the ninja-to ever existed.

"their weapons were cheap." uh no they werent...

"A katana costs A LOT" cost was never the issue, besides, katana were by no means rare... dead samurai were all over too, easy to rob a corpse, or an oaf.

if you are only going to regurgitate what is written in children's books, why bother trying to sound like your an authority.

  • hilarious, they make it very clear he has only one bullet in the gun... then bang, bang and bang again. Hey what? or is it his super ninja speed that let's him reload the gun so fast you can't see?

  • Nnnnnnnnnno!

  • ninjas that have use guns are pussies!

  • @Dropkick32X you damn right about that because i have one ninja that was hardly no ninja but use guns through out the whole movie called ninja assassin.

  • Ninjas: practitioners of the ancient, deadly technique known only to it's highest level adpets as "snub-nose revolver-jitsu".

  • hahaha, he took song by A-ha caled "sun always shines on TV"

  • Haha.. Pretty Cheezy.. But Nice aerials though..

  • Best music for a fight scene, period

  • Comment removed

  • Were these actual blockbuster hits from Hollywood in the 80's?

  • "Ninjas don't have guns"

  • @brrriantology

But white guy ninjas do! xD

  • I love the way they summon the guns out of nowhere and the funny sound effect, at 0:08.

  • Gordon is too supreme to die, he faked his death jump there and reformed the ninja empire and worships the golden ninja warrior every day.

  • He did get shot and was badly injured, but thanks to a healthy diet of Steamed Crabs and relearning the way of the Ninja by his friend's Jaguar Technique, he came back better than ever and starred in two dozen more movies. :D

  • richard harrison got at least 5 voices in godfrey ho movies lol

  • That's my computer teacher. 8D

  • MUSIC FKN RULESSSSSSSSSSSS

  • wait they killed Gorden the Coward?

  • Did Gordon die at the end of this movie?

  • Only Godfrey Ho knows the answer to this question, even Gordon doesnt know!

  • hahahaha the end!

  • hahhaha 2:12 etc - its disco time!!

  • Is that a remix of The Sun Always Shines on TV I hear at the beginning?

  • why were they allowed to steal copyrighted music for this movie, maybe its because they're Asian.

  • yes it is!

  • i love NINJA TERMINATOR!

    Jaguar wong!!!!

  • amazing

  • WTF!!! They are suppose to be Ninjas! Why are they using guns?!!?

  • nnnnnnnnNO

    LOLBOOMERANG

  • Comment removed

  • Why are all the ninjas white guys?

  • We were cheap and it made the films sell in Uganda ... No kidding!

  • Wait, are you really Grant Temple?

  • "Nnnnnnnnnno!" so epic lol.

  • NNNNNNNNO

  • Nice music by A-ha (during the disappearing weapon segment).

  • Wow what a ripoff ending...all that awesome fighting just to be shot by 2 girls proudly wearing their class of '88 rings.

  • Favorited!!! This explains a lot about ninjas that I needed to know. Like - How do you know a guy in a ninja suit is a real ninja? His headband says so!! Finally! An Answer!

  • I would think that would make him NOT a ninja cuz it's a dead give away.

  • AAAAAAAAAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHA

  • ending was a total mindfuck!!

  • This is Richard Harrison last movie, right?

  • Richard did a few more while I was in Hong Kong but he pissed off Joseph Lai and he reported him for Tax evasion. Apparently they paid him about $10 000 a month to make as many movies as they could. He set up another deal on the side and that didn't go over very well.

  • You mean Joseph reported Richard for tax evasion?

There is a documentary about Richard on the Nanarland site where he talks about the Ninja movies towards the end. He was surprised that there were plenty of films featuring him because he was given the impression that he was just working on one film.

I put up the link to it on the Far East Films site. To find it, go to the forum and look for the 4th page of the interesting trivia topic within the Chinese cinema message board.

  • Ehm didn't they just put in one bullet?

  • This is actually really funny... cause whenever I show this flick to my students I say ... Now who's the bad guy cheater here! > At least I do what I say!

  • Are you SERIOUSLY Grant Temple?

  • Yup! Live in Vancouver now. That was 20 years ago when I was living in Hong Kong.

  • That was a fucked up ending!!

  • looks like 2 german gay people with funny bandanas bought in a tourist shop:P

  • Ridiculus!! hahahha but fun when i was a child, ninja movies was like 80's power rangers

  • omg. not only are they white ninjas, but their using guns.

  • As for the AAV guys I do not remember. I barely even knew the story lines and they would gives us the line just before the shoot.

I spent a lot of time with Stuart Smith and Richard. Stuart was an Auzi and was a really great guy.Richard was an American living in Italy (at the time anyway) and his claim to fame (other than these flics was he was the last cut for the 'Good the Bad and the Ugly' Apparently they liked some other American Clint somebody lol

  • How much did you get payed grant per movie?

  • reality is we made so many I have no idea. But probably about $500 a film > it was during the hostel days when you would take any job for cash. When everyone else was teaching English I was hanging out on sets playing cards or .., not working as I usuallygot payed double the teachers (work less pay more now that's the way to travel)

  • It would be nice to see those photos of yours on a web page.

Godfrey Ho is a weird legend, that's for sure. The fact that he's teaching film at a Hong Kong uni is crazy.

  • I will try

  • WTF!?

  • the only problem is ninjas dont really do 1vs1 sword fights, and specially not with longswords, and those stances were basic samurai stances.

  • nice song

  • I responded with, "You know the main idea of a story."

"I KNOW WHAT A PLOT IS!" he yelled ...

"Day don care about da plot ... all day want to see is da fighting!"

So needless to say the plots in these movies were less than thin. In fact they cut us in to some Japanese film and then resold them. Apparently I was really popular in Uganda >>> At least that's what Richard laughed about.

  • thanks for sharing the story :) Yeah, it seems Godfrey Ho did not focus much on the plots. Do you happen to know who the "AAV Creative Unit" is? They were credited for most of the "plots" or storyline. I have so many questions for you, but its been a while i'm sure :)

  • Ask away ...

It was awhile ago so I barely remember. I do have tons of pictures of the sets etc.

  • Mr Temple, do you still have any of the props used in this film or other godfrey films? Such as Photo's, the golden ninja warrior figure, bandanas? I need these items of power to establish my supreme ninja power.

  • Yes I do have lots of pics ( especially on the set)

  • @granttemple Read the story(s) on Nanarland - those alone would make a fine film by itself (possibly with cameo appearances of the 'stars' themselves).

I cannot say about Uganda but I grew up in Tanzania and every local videostore had dozend of Ninja films (yes, we watched them all like zealots!) - it was almost a sport to put together the right costume color and combination with the right film with the pals.

  • Funny story about Godfried Ho ...

One day while we were shooting I asked him what was the plot of the movie, I went on to say, you know if I knew the plot then I could rewrite my lines so People could actally understand them. (They were written in pigeon English) and he said, "PLOT ... What you mean Plot!"

  • Ok I must say I never expected to see that thing again! Yes that's me in Black! Back in my hay day 20 years ago with Godfried Ho and many more.

Yes its bad I admit. NNNNNNNNNOOOOOO!

Best thing is I left Hong Kong before the dubbing so it isn't my voice.

  • Wow! Its Grant Temple! You have many fans man! :D We absolutely LOVE these films now (probably for all the wrong reasons). Yeah the dubbing is atrocious, haha.

  • Awesome this is true ninjutsu, I know all their moves. I can also make things appear in my hand, like guns, crossbows and firecrackers. My sensei just taught me to shoot laser out of my eyes. Maybe one day he will teach me to turn into a true fire-breathing dragon....

  • Nnnnnnnnnnnnno.

  • Decide, will you come back with me to the organisation?

    NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNo.

  • My favourite line ... Actually Godfrey was pissed at me for saying it that way. Kinda like a two year old

  • Anyway..they look definitly cool. Like your white one:)

  • what a load of bollocks to play A-ha music as a music score for this pappy-show! I suppose Godfrey Ho is gonna play Humpty Dumpty as his next music score..!

  • lol...can´t say anything bad because it was made in 1988 so people in that time probably thought that this movie was the best

  • This is some corny shit! But I cant stop watching for some reason. Also I think they bought thier gear from the local swap meet cause i got the same throwing stars as they do...anyways thanks for the entertainment!

  • 00:42 on your marks get set go!

  • their headbands say ninja on them. masters of disguise

  • I told the director we looked like idiots wearing those things and he just laughed and said they don't care they need to know your real ninjas ...Ohhhh now I get it.

  • Do you still have that headband somewhere?

    I want it, haha.

  • hhhmmmmnnnnnNNNOOOO

  • It's very bad yet very entertaining especially the fact that they flip for no apparent reason.

  • n00bz

    they suck!

  • IS THAT A-HA DOING THE MUSIC

  • Yes, it sure is A-Ha, but he definately did not pay royalties to them, or other artist that were in his soundtracks. Like Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd, Chris & Cosey, Dead can Dance and others :) I will say Godfrey Ho has excellent taste in music!

  • This is good!

  • Ha Ha! Do Ninjas really wear headbands that tell others that they ARE Ninjas? BTW why do the swords sound like iron pipes? Go ninja, go ninja, go!

  • haha, one of the WORST fight scenes I have EVER seen. Notice how when he stabs the black ninja with the sword, it doesn't come out on the other side...HAHAHA it was a fold in prop! lol

  • Not a fold up prop actually it was a real sword but they just shoved it under my arm.

  • filme de comedia!! :D

  • its so bad that i love it!

  • HARRISON DIES!!!

  • Yep, R. Harrison and Grant Temple in another great J. Lai Ninja Flick.

Cool Final Fight, much better than in Licence to Terminate. The Music from A-Ha was great , too.

Coll fight from a cool time period of those great, often misunderstood films:)!!!!!!!!
