@bobdinwiddy They are gas detectors and can tell you if Radon gas is also present I expect. No breathable gas can hang around in pockets in tunnels. The hard hat is because its so easy to hit your head on tunnels walls as some are low.
@djmattymc Yeah good luck with that. There is radiation down there, thats why its closed. I was one of the last people down there bar the odd security gaurd that goes down there and it's so bad sandwiches turned bad within 4 hours. Of course if you want to turn green and grow 2 winkles go for it mate.
not very well kept is it ? looks like any kind of earthshakin it would crumble ! So what shelters are there for people today ,when they start ww3?
