  • The best part was 2:05 - 2:45, amazing noise!

  • great tune at the end. can hear the 2600 and the vocoder. tasteful

  • Hi,

What kind of mixer and amp do you use? Do you keep a pure analog signal path. How do these synths sound through solid state amps?

    Thanks,

    G

  • Hi.

The synths are runned through an M-auidio 1010LT soundcard. The speakers are also M-audio. Software reverb on the MS-20 and roland space echo for the MS-10. No external effects are added on the ARP 2600 and VP-330. The synths will give an exellent signal and sound through an solid state amp.

    /Tom

  • Respect,fanthastic,nice video!

  • Nice work :) Thank you!

  • Thank you all!

  • You rock!!!!!

  • fantastic!!...WoW!5*

  • Kalas!

  • can't believe i sold an ms20, sq10 + sh101 in the late 80's ,to go digital, for only £175!!!!!

  • ive seen there a poly siel dk 600/700 opera

got two of them nicey cheap good analogs

    only mine opera is broken

nicey sounds by the way ...

  • This is spectacular! 100/10

  • Good stuff. Very good.

A long career ahead of you.

  • analogue magic: i once patched two Ms10s so that they sounded like someone trudging along a pebble beach, very realistic

  • cant say how much i dig this demo...awesome

  • Congratulations for your Opera 6!! a very unknown and underrated Synth, I have one myself bought new in 1983 that need repair, I am going to repair it now that i found another wich has the board that fried on mine.

    Nice equipment.

  • Can you make doctor who theme live ?

  • Digital never sounds like that. GREATFUL!

  • After seeing this, I MUST get my old MiniKorg 700 fixed ..

Thanks a lot for the clip !

  • cool stuff man...nice setup! lovin it.

  • Very nice equipment you've got there. ARP 2600, legendary with a reason of course, MS 10 and 20, also great synths. But I like also the Roland vocoder and the Siel. Analog rules!

  • would have been way cooler if the beat kicked in about 2-1/2 minutes earlier.

  • Great video, I love the old retro synths, if only I could afford to buy some.

  • U and the world! have ya considered this

    alternative,if ya can't afford a retro synth

    why not build one.did u know,that 95% of today's

synths are simply emulations of the old analogs.

  • ottimo

  • !!!!!!!!!!

  • Cool stuff man!! that was Oxygene 8 right?? a few semitones too low but ;) hey.. who cares :P

Keep up the good work man

  • Thats correct. Not exactly Oxygen 8, but quite similar. :)

  • Simply amazing.. Analogue Force!

  • its nice to see that some of the old synths out there are actually being used to create music, and not just a noodling toy for kids....

  • COOL !!! and the good old Roland VP330 vocoder too !!! Fantastic. Great sounds. Wish I had that kit. That ARP is a beast !

  • im happy with my roland system 100m, system 100 and ob-8. reason?...well i owned an arp 2600 years ago, and there was ALWAYS something wrong with the bastard thing. Now even though i personally know people like kent spong of K.S.R. ( THE BEST restorers and rebuilders in the UK, without question), at 3500 notes for a prime condition one...no thanks, for that i could get another 15 mods of system 100m or a devastating doepfer.

  • i was expecting a bit more out of the arp 2600, but this is a good effort.

having said that, the combined cost of those 'boards must be over 10000 pounds!

  • This is an AMAZING sound! I had NO idea an Arp 2600 sounded this good! lol

  • ORUPRANKSTAZ, then i dont really think you know anything about music or synths, you might be one of this KIDS playing VIDEO GAMES with REAKTOR or REASON...ahahahahahaha...

  • AutomaticGainsay: Yes that is absolutely true. I am hunting for a Ms-50 and the SQ-10 sequencer. They would be nice to the family.

  • Somebody is sure having fun :)

  • Thanks for making this!

  • Anybody that says digital softsynths are superior to analog in any way is a total fucktard.

  • I'm totally pro-hardward and really don't like analog synths..but they do have some good arguments. For instance, can your ARP 2600 run on batteries? Neither can my Triton Extreme

  • I couldn't agree more! Well said, bro!

  • a little confused why you have both a 10 and 20 but I guess I wouldn't complain if I had both.

  • Due to the modular aspect, the more MSs you have, the more function you have.

  • You play a really shit with wonderful keyboards... It's ridiculous...Fuck JM Jarre...

  • Nice stuff, nice song too!

  • J.M Jarre rulezzzzzz

  • really nice track, excellent sounds!

  • da...da da da da....

  • You the Swedish Jean Michel Jarre?

  • man, nice equipment you lucky bastard lol

  • this is very nice. i am using just soft synths and a controller, so this really impresses me, both the music and the setup!

  • Excellent! I love my VP-330.

  • This is brilliant. Nice equipment you got, by the way!

  • really, all your equipment, in its full glory, it made me almost cream my pants :P great work

  • sounds great. love the true analog vibe & character. what keyboard is doing strings?

  • Thanks! A Roland vp330 vocoder plus is making the string sounds.

  • fantastic my friend....love the music ...like me sure...

  • Keep the videos coming, fantastic !

  • Nice, has some Jarre quality to it. BTW, is that a Memorymoog on top?

  • Thanks guys. The synth on top is a Siel opera 6. Quite similar to roland Juno 106.

  • This is awesome, you have the perfect setup and you know how to use it, thanks a lot for that moment !
