I forgot to say how cute it was that she trys to clean up after herself.....during her messy drinking, how sweet. Licking around the bowl....what a sweetheart.

What a cutie pie....my Basset drinks like crazy too......I got him tested for diabetes....it costs a little over 200 dollars to do that....but thank God Marko did not have diabetes....he just likes to drink. lol

excessive drinking is a symptom of diabetes. If that is the case and you can't afford the treatment, you can contact a bassett rescue for someone who can.

@albatross332 Its not a symptom of Diabetes it could have been playing... and too my dog has to take an allergy medicine that makes him thirsty

No, it doesn't need to be. Basset Hounds should look like this one, not like the other one on the left at the beginning of the movie. See "BBC Pedigree dogs exposed" if you don't know what I mean.

@chinchonchinchon : Basset's can come in all colours.....this is no mix. I have seen black and white Basset's that look like cows.....lol The only ones you can take to show are the black, white and tan ones, but they are all Basset's !
