  • Somehow, the video, the way it's framed, the painful glare, the blaring tones, evokes the story even more than the show does. It's like Twin Peaks boiled down to a stain in the bottom of the cup, and put on YouTube to drag us in. A keeper. Like the grave.

  • @gridsleep thank you. :)

    love.

  • @4selana :)

  • I am having trouble loading the factory presets into my sx-210. Ive read the manual, and done what it has said, but no sound is coming out. I also just had the memory battery replaced as well.

  • This is a beautiful cover, played with feeling and expression. I like the strange bit at the end which goes with the surreal atmosphere of the show. The SX210 is a really nice sounding synth but hard to find, like the SX240. Please do some more themes, Dr Who (Ron Grainer) would be great! This deserves more views.

  • @Laura041974 Thank you. It's appreciated, glad you got it, I struggled a bit with the lack of touch sensitivity to really convey it, hence it is a little 'shouty'. It is a bit of flop compared to my other video's. Yep the SX210 is ace, fear not have a few more things in the pipeline. I like your singing.

  • @idektron There's an SX210 on ebay! I looked for more about it. I like that you can name your sounds. If you don't have the instructions, you can download them free from kawai.us. I don't know where to get the tape for reloading the presets, as the one for sale has lost them. The seller is a scooter parts shop! There's a recent song or group called "Owl City" and I think they have a SX210 or SX240 in the video, in a room full of old toys. Thanks for watching my only video, I'm glad you liked it.

  • @Laura041974 ooo just seen the ebay one, looks nice. I do have the original manual somewhere for mine, but not the tape. I think you can download it as an mp3 and record it on to a tape and load it in that way though or manually make the presets yourself and just save them. I only kept a few of the originals and most are just my own patches. Yeah the naming system is cool I got mine from ebay 3 years ago for £92 ! I'll check out owl city.

  • @idektron You were very lucky to find a synth for less than £100, some I've watched ended over £1000! I got a book with an old synth pricelist and thought they seemed reasonable. Then I saw how much more most sell for! My favourite is the Elka Synthex, £900 in this book and someone wanted £5,725...! The SX240 is more like the Synthex than the 210 with 16 DCOs and the sequencer too. How do you get an mp3 onto tape?

  • @Laura041974 I like the synthex too, quite quirky. You just need to connect the audio outputs of you computer to the inputs of a tape desk then just record live as the mp3 plays.

  • @idektron I'm sorry, I was wrong about Owl City "Fireflies". They have a two tier old organ and show the LED display on a speak and spell, which looks a bit like the Kawai.

  • @Laura041974 That's a shame speak & spell's are always cool though !

  • hey edward are there any songs you would recommend as just good songs?

  • @yadrummer11 hey thanks for the comment not 100% sure what you mean, but if we are talking straight song writing i'd say anything early by Neil Young, otherwise generally just check my favorites on my youtube channel..
