@LetsFlyOnceMore When I said singers and actors(the other contestants),I meant that they aren't singing or acting during their dancing segments.They perform their dance and that's it. Please don't play a farce.Unless you are that dense, you know what I meant by saying that's her job. At the end of the day, they judged correctly. This show is about dance abilities and how you perform it. If what you bring to it is what you do for a living, you haven't done anything special.

You have to bring you own personality into the dance yes, but you shouldn't over shadow what you're actually supposed to be doing with what you do professionally for a living. In that case there should have been actors acting during their segment, singers singing, and then judged them on that as well. Their judged on dancing because that's what puts them on an equal playing field and that's what the show is about.

Why give credit to something that we already know your good at? She was there to compete on her dancing skills not something she's trained her whole life for. first off, why the heck does everyone assume that Lindy is all about tricks and flips?? If that's all you focus on you miss out on so much. Secondly, I didn't think they used an excessive amount of tricks for this competition. thirdly, THEY WERE ONE OF THE VERY VERY VERY FEW PAIRS TO ACTUALLY DO THE BASIC LINDY STEP! Granted they only did it once, but that's more than the others can say (except for Ty).

I've gone to some of the largest swing dancing competitions in the country and I've taken classes with international Lindy Hop champions. *establishing credibility, not bragging*. These guys are professionals and I highly respect them, but Lindy isn't a ballroom dance, it's a social dance, so many of them have virtually no experience with it. (note that Jive, Jitterbug, and Lindy look the same on this show)They do a good job making it a performance, but this isn't a good representation of Lindy.

I know this sounds a little weird, but I think her flips were a little too perfect. In dancing, with partnering, I think they need to be led by the man, like at 3:35, I think it needs to be more aided instead of her flipping herself and high. I think it needs to give the impression that he is flipping her over, and she would fall otherwise.

But this is almost the otherway round to how she trains! But would be easy to fix.

I though the judging was a little unfair. A lot of it critiqued the fact that there were too many flips and tricks. That wasn't her fault-it was Mark who did the choreography. She did well despite the tricks.
