I really enjoy the difference in tone and depth of the two basses. Furtok, the bass you play here is very bright and sharp, you play it perfectly. Stahle's bass is very mellow, great duo.

Das ist ja der erste legitime Nachfolger der legenden Ludwig Streicher und Frantisek Posta (Boguslaw Furtok, links)! Ich bin begeistert! Phantastisch, endlich mal ein Contrabassvirtuos mit grossem Ton, der sich nicht über die schweren Stellen hinwegpfuscht! Das ist der eigentliche Qualitätsfaktor. Flinke Finger haben viele.... Ist halt was für Männer mit Power in der Pranke!

Not that it'll stop me from trying to take the crown :), but there really is no better composer for the double bass than Bottesini. Always lovely!

Though Bottesini's music is really pleasing to the ear, I think that Koussevitzky's works really capture the emotion better (though his works are considerably easier and shorter)...I have absolutely nothin' against Bottesini, though.
