they need to put rain-x on those lenses, or some type of commercial grade surfactant that lasts a looooong time untouched, but if you can put a camera there, you can access it by humans, so you just spray that shit on there.
I go storm chasing sometimes, and one of the oddest tornadoes ever popped up in my literal back yard.
Strangest storm to produce a tornado I've ever seen- no lightning, no thunder,no hail, incredibly fast low cloud decks 100 miles wide spinning around a grand center, more like something out of Ghostbusters than what you'd see out on the open Plains.
Wow, and I bike through there all the time on the Green Way and had no idea that this video is located almost RIGHT there. Awesome. It got really warm before the storm blew through. Came out of now where.
I was on 35W and Lake Street when i noticed some debris falling on the Interstate. I assumed it was a careless garbage truck on the highway, but looked to my SE and there it was swirling around.
I am a storm spotter, driving around seeing if any flooding occurred to report to NWS in Chanhassan, The radar i was using didn't "see" the tornado, there was to much rain, radar just seen the rain. God couldn't predict a tornado was going to be there.
yeah, it happened in seconds as you can see, it was just here then gone. Thanks for the comment, I wish I could have seen it from your perspective though.
@I2FF2R I use to live in Minneapolis and am also a trained storm spotter, what did the National weather service ever rate it at. The winds must've been well above 70mph
@arohn2007 confirmed EF-0 with winds likely 65-70MPH due to trees 2' in diameter were snapped like toothpicks, signs were twisted 1.5 times and still standing.
@arohn2007 I've talked to some one @ NWS in TC and they put an estimate at 70-75 mph but confirmed it only to an EF 0 because only trees were down, and any houses that where damaged or destroyed were caused by those trees. I suppose if there were houses alone, being destroyed they would have given it a good mid EF-1
@I2FF2R I agree with the weather service, I didn't see any damage on photos I've seen of any damage to give it higher than a EF0 and I also agree winds were probably above 70 to 75, but in your last post you said 65-70 so thats why I surprised because I would've guessed the wind to be higher then 65-70mph for those trees to have been snapped.
That was the best day of my life! I woke up around noon, it's raining and cold. two hours after i get up plymouth has trees in the road. I then for the next 3 hours nearly gave my neice a heart attack cause i would run out side to see what was going on. lol
LOL you should really think before you type.... this is S4th and ELake, and yes this isnt a "real" pond but it is a runoff for our parking lot that was full of water. I have no reason to lie about where this is, have fun being a youtube nazi :)
That's pretty crazy! I live in Baton Rouge, LA and the winds during Hurricane Gustav were similar to that but lasted for 3 hours. Main difference is that they were straight line winds in the hurricane.
The white stuff at the end is either large drops of water being blown off the roof or bits of the roof itself that were loosened by the tornado. It's to warm for snow, and I didnt see any hail falling (believe me it'd be large enough to show up in that cam).
It was an F0. 70 to 85 MPH winds. What are those white things whisping by at the end of the video? Rain, snow flakes? It was in the 60's Could be snow, check it out.
That's CRAZY!!!! Winds switch from left to right to right to left - awesome capture, 5/5 stars. Glad it wasn't worse. Adding to Tornado Chase playlist - although in this case, think it chased you. 0.o
F0-F1, This is still amazing.

@I2FF2R Really? If trees 2' in diameter were snapped like toothpicks I would've guessed it to be a high end EF0

@arohn2007 reasons why i never give out wind measurements to the NWS, I suck at it.
