I was on this accident working it as a paramedic with Polk EMS. Let me assure you some 4 hours after the initial collisions, you could not see your hand in front of your face. This was in the daylight, let alone the darkness of night. I have been in lots of fog but nothing ever like this. Unreal. The real culprit, IMHO, is the smoke from the "controlled burn" of the swamp area immediately adjacent to the site. Honestly, these drivers never had a chance.

I remember this. I was driving in it. I pulled over because it got so bad. Then out of no where i hear cars crashing left and right. I drove forward alittle to see what was goin on. When I got up there a Ford F-150 crashed into behind me. We both got out our vehicles too see if we were alright. Then we got off the road and on the shoulder.
