It's fucking annoying when you have a cyclist going 1/2 the speed limit. At least ride closer to the shoulder so you don't hold up traffic. Imagine having a pedestrian getting pissed at you for going around them for walking too slow. I hate cyclists that think they own the fucking road. Ride assertively, away from the gutter. If the road's too narrow for vehicles to pass you safely, it may be safer to ride in the middle of the lane to prevent dangerous overtaking
Ride in a straight line past parked cars, rather than dodge between them, and allow at least a full door's width between you in case a car door opens suddenly.

You can carry on your merry way at the side of the road, which is courtious. But instead you risk your own life just to prove a point that you are allowed to ride in the middle of the road? Let's not try and intellectualise what the guy that makes these videos does. He gets his kicks from doing this. He loves the adrenaline he gets from these confrontations with the safety net of his camera and the little video trophies it collects for him. It's fucking annoying when you have a cyclist going 1/2 the speed limit. At least ride closer to the shoulder so you don't hold up traffic. Imagine having a pedestrian getting pissed at you for going around them for walking too slow. I hate cyclists that think they own the fucking road. Ride assertively, away from the gutter. If the road's too narrow for vehicles to pass you safely, it may be safer to ride in the middle of the lane to prevent dangerous overtaking
Ride in a straight line past parked cars, rather than dodge between them, and allow at least a full door's width between you in case a car door opens suddenly.

If someone is being aggressive to you on the road, ignore them and 'turn the other cheek' as it were. It's not worth having a argument over and will stress both you and driver out.

TBH your lucky he was so nice about passing you. When bikers feel the need to take a whole lane like your doing I usually pass with inches to spare and hope they try to get smart about it. I commute 3 miles further than my girlfriend, 5 miles of it along the same road. I go by bike, she uses a car. We both finish uni at 4:30.
